Alice nods as Will with a somber look on her face. "I did know that the surgery could help stop Jason's seizures, though I admit I didn't know that until after the whole shooting our way out of the hospital fiasco." Sighing she adds, "I didn't know that MacCoulter had been the one to authorize it though, and I don't feel I have the right to force Jason to do something that could kill him."

" Tell you what, if he calls you a baby, I'll deck him." Dimitri offered with a smirk as he released Sierra and his metallic coating seeped back into his skin. " And unless I missed something while I popped out for a few seconds, Jason may not have even known Alice had returned. you should at least talk to him." He suggested, patting her on the shoulder. " what is a Bubba?"
Telling Jason that Mac was behind the hospital incident did little to improve his attitude, but he kept his calm long enough to answer. " Look, you obviously have issues with me and I think everyone knows you're wrinkly old ass hasn't done anything to impress me enough to accept your leadership, so let's just cut the crap. You spell out what you want and expect, and I'll either accept you're terms or I'm gone." He looked at Alice and gave her a don't argue look as he added," By myself."

* Sierra looks at Dimitri and then sniffles as she continues to regain control. 'don't think you'ld hit him. and i really don't want to talk to him. and Bubba? ... he was my best friend for 8 years. he was a Siberian Tiger. and we'd play for hours, wrestling and stalking each other. he was scared of thunder, so i'ld sleep in the cage with him then. i got some snapshots of him and me in the circus. wanna see ... *looks about at Avi and Craig as well and tenses up briefly before relaxing again* 'well .. did you want to see them?'

" Only if he deserves it." Dimitri replied. " Of course we'd like to see pictures." Avi nodded in agreement.
" I can accept you're in charge, Will." Jason replied, calling after Will. " That doesn't mean I like the idea or that I'll follow you blindly. But until they can guarantee me the surgery will be a sucess, it's out of the question." He placed his arm around Alice," I know where your bullheadness comes from at least." He grinned as he said it.

" It will be over after the full moon passes." Ashley replied. " It happens every month, though it's better than when I first changed. I didn't even remember what happened then." The smiled thinly," I like the idea of you going with me next time." Her eyes fell shut and she dozed off.

Isamu sat with her a little longer, watching her sleep. After several minutes he slowly slipped out of the room.
"She is resting. I hope that soon we can all rest. I never thought I would wind up involved with the things we are facing."

* one of Sierra's fingers moves to the neck of the form fitting unitard she's currently wearing, and gives it a bit of a tug as she nods. 'okay .. i'll go get the photo album then .. its just those polaroid pictures. something aobut negatives being used wrong .. '
*she moves away and upstairs, and returns with the small book and hands it over and then sits and stares at her toes while they look over her past. 3 shots of a tiger .. as a cub, an adult and one with the tiger and sierra sleeping in a heap of limbs. one of si holding someone obviously 400 pounds up off the ground, in shorts and a t-shirt. showing that her skin is indeed snake patterned from the neck down. a few others of her in contortionist poses and one with a tall thin gent with knives.
'thats it. home schooled and took business afterwards. then the fire can and .. i still miss Bubba. he was there when the accident happened to make me look this way. but hey, i'm lucky? .. i'm still alive. lost friends, cause they left the troupe' *sighs and looks up again* 'some think its a thrill to live in a circus. long hours training .. but i think i know why i itch.

Alice rests her head on Jason's shoulder and smiles quietly, though she looks a bit troubled by what Will had said and by her earlier vision. 'What did it mean?' she wonders to herself as she stares out at the water, trying to picture as many details as she can so she can describe it to Will later.

Craig looks at the pictures Sierra offers. Upon hearing her say "accident" he raises his head.
"Accident? You weren't born with your powers? For some reason, I figured everyone had been born with them. Shows what I know," Craig says. He thought about asking her what happened, but figured if she wanted him to know she'd tell him. Instead he chose to get back to the reason he wanted to speak to her.
"Hey, before I forget, I wanted to ask you about... ummm... costume designs. Someone mentioned you had some designs and I thought you might be willing to share some of those so we can get a good costume that doesn't make us look like a Saturday morning cartoon team," Craig said somewhat amusedly. "And then maybe we can talk more about this, if you like. Sometimes it's good to open up the closet and let some of the skeletons out. Especially if you're carrying a heavy burden. What do you say?"

*happy to be on a different subject and to let her past sorta revert to the background again, nods. 'yeah .. my aunties taught me how to sew. i was allowed to design some of the outfits for some of the new people. my drawing isn't great, but its enough for me to get an idea how its supposed to come out. so .. yeah. i was just doodling actually, then Trevor looked at them'
*then realizes that Craig isn't the only one in the room and starts to go red as she looks at them and smiles nervously. 'anyways ... i think the reason why i itch, is cause its like .. when you turn on a radio and you get static. thats what you all are. except for Avi there, i kinda copied him before and he's not so ... prickly? ... '

" What's wrong?" Jason asked quietly. " Don't let Grampa Firebritches get to you, we'll work things out. I'm gonna go get something to eat." He got up and started to walk inside. In the distance, at the edge of the surfline, a black object seemed to bob right where Alice was looking.
Dimitri commented with a smile." I guess you'll have to copy us all then and get used to us."
Trevor added," Looks like you had alot of fun back then. You actually smiled." He smirked at Sierra.

Alice calls out to Jason telepathically, 'Can you come back here for a minute please?' When he does, she asks him softly, "What is that?" pointing to the black object in the water, peering at it closely, trying to determine what it was.

* the mood shifts briefly as Sierra mumbles ' ... yeah ... ' but whether its for Dimitri's comment or to Avi's comment, is unknown. but like quicksilver its gone, as she looks up and gives a half smile. "i'm not the greatest cook .. but i know how to make some stuff. then i got told that you guys do a lot of eat out food. do you mind if i shop for me then? .. that take out stuff is boring after living about it for .. forever. thats not gonna be a problem, is it?"
*her hand reaches for the photo album and a pensive look is in the eyes. 'well .. i guess i can keep it then. for a little while longer", then looks up her face reverting to watch the others about her for permission to go shopping when she needs to.
