Ch. 20 Coming together

"Hey whatever you have that might help woudl be great. We can talk more about it later," Craig said. Feeling he'd accomplished his mission, as it were, Craig went to his room. He was feeling more comfortable being here, but not that comfortable. Later he would get with Alice and let her know Sierra was willing to discuss a design for the team uniforms.

' .. oh ... k ... ' *watching Craig leave and then looks at the album and caresses the small book. '.. whats this about a team uniform? ... i was just .. well sorta doodling ... '

*sighs and looks up* 'well .. who do i train with next? ... might as well get this over and done with. just like back home, but .. how come no one else is training? .. or is it just me that needs it?' *the nervous part os Sierra shows again, as she tries to figure things out and how to fit into this strange group of strangers.

Hearing Sierra's last comment, Craig stopped.

"I could use some training, as well. If copying my powers helps you, then perhaps we could do that. I haven't used my powers as much as others, but I have some non-offensive powers that could prove useful," Craig says.

Might as well jump in with both feet. Better than just sitting on my butt all day, Craig thinks.

* looks at Craig, and then blushes as she grins* 'really? .. that sounds cool. i'ld be happy to .. do that. is it safe to do inside or should we go outside?' *she seems to have recovered from her earlier bout of depression.

"One of my powers is safe to use inside. This power allows me to bend light around myself, rendering me kinda invisible. Really, we could do it right here. Also, I have a power that allows me to create a force field around myself. Both of those could prove very useful. The others we'll want to move outside for as they could start a fire. You just don't use fireworks in your house, right," Craig says.

Focusing on bending the light around himself, Craig suddenly disappears.

"Now you see me, now you don't," he says. "Of course, if I move..."

Craig takes a couple steps forward and back showing how movement distorts the light, allowing someone to spot him.

"... it shows where I am. At least if someone is looking," he adds after he moves. He reappears close to where he was before vanishing.

"I don't know how your copying power works, so what do you need me to do?"

* Sierra look at Craig as he starts to vanish and then blinks. 'oh .... that is so cool. wow ... ' *quietly commenting as he moves about and speaks , then her face seems to shift slightly and then the eyes look as if listening to something else where, then seems to vanish from view.

*the power is slowly duplicated .. 'well? .. did i do it right? ... you just need to show me, and i have to narrow it out ... but. did it work?'

Jason looked out over the ocean. After a moment, he replied, " I don't see anything. Wait, you mean that seal straight out from us? I think it's a seal anyways." He smirked, " Let me guess, it creeps you out to be watched by sea mammals? Just keep watching then, maybe a shark will come along and make lunch out of your peeping seal and rescue you." He started to chuckle.


Tyler looked over his glass, shaking his head slightly. " Sorry kiddo, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. Once Will figures out what going on, all hell will break loose. Not to mention when I find who has Felicia."


Avi leaned close to Will so only he could hear as they watched Craig teaching Sierra how his powers worked. " So was this your plan, or were you serious about the comic books? I really hate spandex, boss."

*Sierra's form seems to shimmer back into view, but the worry on the face shows she fears that she messed up big time. 'guess i did it wrong then .. well .. ' *then the look of concentration happens again, and this time she shimmers out of view a little quicker.

William grins at Avery. "We'll be adapting SWAT-style uniforms to our needs, I think. I just wanted to see what the comics promote. We'll adapt them with concensus." He whispers quietly, so that only Avery hears.

"I understand Tyler. Just surprised how things worked out. I will help you find Felicia, and whoever is responsible for her disappearance. Perhaps William will have more information for us when we get back.

Feeling embarrassed, Alice flushes and snaps "You're a right foul git sometimes, you know that Jason?" She continues "I just had a vision a few moments ago, and it seemed like someone or something was watching me and then you make fun of me." Alice starts to stomp over to the house. "Real nice."

" How was I supposed to know?" Jason replied defensively. " All you said was you ..saw... something." His voice sort of trailed as he followed after her, giving the impression his attention was on something else.


" Sounds better. Any luck with Kerry's new toys for us?" Avi replied with the same hushed tone as Trevor left the room.


" You just worry about Ashley for now. The pair of you stick with Will, I'll do my own hunting for Fel" Tyler's eyes held a murderous glint," The less of you kids around when I find who took her, the better."

Alice turns around to see what Jason's attention is focused on "What is it?"

Jason's eyes immediately shot up to meet Alice's, and his face flushed a bit. " Huh? Nothing." He answered quickly.

* Sierra continues to shimmer in and out of view. the elusive smile from her childhood is back on the face as she works on the talent with Craig's promptings. she seems to be relaxing and starting to 'mesh' with at least one person, maybe even more
