She was heading towards the store when she heard Simmons. "That's really semantics at this point. And really? It isn't obvious?"
She looked confused before her expression lightened. "C'mon Simmons. I'll let you buy me an ice cream and you can tell me how you got drafted into this. Part of my thing is it is important for me to get to know my team. I need some sporting goods."

"Not to someone without experience," he says to Isaacson. "and you strike me as a woman who can buy her own ice cream," he adds flatly.
He thinks *not sure if being a team with these people is a good idea. Asks for opinions then flips out when he gets them. Can't believe they let a guy who can't make eye contact through officer school. This is going to be a long mission.*
He looks at the major and waits for his response to all of this before stepping away from the vehicle.

McKenzie sighs a little at the exchanges. Although reluctant to reply, for fear of looking like she is choosing sides (player feels the same >.>) she offers a hard look to Forbes. "In fairness, Simmonds is right... she only called the idea..uh.. idiotic. Lack of tact isn't the same as insubordination, particularly when you requested comments. If Alex is apologetic for her poor choice of words, can we move on? We have far, far more important things to focus on than poor diplomatic skills right now." she adds, looking between Forbes and Hemmaway pointedly.
Once said, she'll look to Lane. "I appreciate your willingness to defend the el-tee, but once again, tact." Mckenzie comments in a low tone. "I'd rather we all be at the throats of our enemy, not each other." she adds, trying to defuse the situation as best she can.
"I don't know about ice-cream, b ut if they have frozen yougurt I'll buy." Mckenzie then continues, offering a smile to Lane. "Sounds good?"
Dismounting from the vehicle, she offers the Major a respectful nods, shouldering her bag then turning to the building, drawing a deep and steadying breath.

Randle leaned against the vehicle, " Everyone just tell the clerkto charge it to my account, but be reasonable with what you pick up, it has to be feild equipment, and we still need room for anything at the armory."
"Okay, so the first thing we buy is a trailer to load up." Xander said with a grin as he accompanied the others towards the base store, holding the door as they reached it. [ OOC: please put equipment requests in the new equipment thread for approval by me, rather than put it all here in posts, I don't want to waste a bunch of time editing/ correcting game post ]
Once they were alone, Randle looked at Forbes," Speak your mind, no decor. But bear in mind, I've read everyone's service records closer than you, and I know you have bigger things to worry about than a little insubordination."

Seeing as the Major is going to speak with the LT, Simmons knows its his responsibility to speak with the private. He walks up to her, shoots her a withering glare and says, "your with me, lets go."
He then starts walking toward the building expecting her to fall in line.

Alex turns and says nothing, but follows on his heels of the Sargent.

Simmons goes into the store and finds the first deserted isle. He walks up it and then stops about midway. He says, "listen here Pitbull. I'm going to talk. Your going to listen and do exactly as I tell you. You may get pissed at me when we're done, but I'm going to explain to you how it is. Now, the next time you desire to say something like that to the LT, you ask for permission to speak freely first, and then you still don't." His tone is even and low so someone in the next isle would have to try really hard to hear what he is saying but the private could tell he is giving her advice she needs to take.
"You never speak to an officer like that. Period. You disagree, then that's what you say, if you got a better idea and they ask for it, you give it to em. Otherwise you keep quiet. Officers aren't like you and me, they're a little more fragile if you will, ego wise anyway, not all, most and especially this one," he says letting a smile touch his lips momentarily.
"Now Pitbull, this is what's going to happen, the next time this entire team is together you are going to walk up to the lieutenant and offer up your most sincerest apology you can muster. I don't care if its complete bullshit you will make it seem like your life depends on making everyone believe you are actually contrite about your outburst. It doesn't sound like Uncle Sam is going to let any of us off this ride anytime soon, so we all have to eat shit and smile to make it as pleasant as possible."
He then leans down and parks his face an inch from hers and stairs her in the eye, "and every time you feel like going apeshit over something one of them says, I want you to consider this, I am over a hundred years old, I served in the military before that man's father was even conceived and I still have to shut up smile and take whatever it is he gives me. If I have to do it Pitbull, you can bet your fresh out of boot camp ass that you will to. Do I make myself clear Private?"

Alex knew this was coming and is glad that it was the Sargent that did this and not someone else. "Sir Yes sir!" Is all she responds. She is tempted to ask to speak freely, but knows that the Sargent's far more experienced then she is.

"Now remember what you are going to do. And you better do it in front of everyone, because that's how you called him out," he says.
He then stands up and claps his hand together which gives off a louder sound than a normal persons would, "ugliness is over. Time to move on. Since we are on base, and both in uniform, remember etiquette for those around us. If we're alone, call me Simmons, or Anthony. I haven't decided what my handle will be, but when I do, I'll let you know. Any questions for me? If not Pitbull, its time to shop. You know the mission, go grab what you need," he says with a smile.

"Sir no sir!" She exclaims to him. "Sir...I mean Sargent, I mean Mr. Simmons. I am not sure what I need to get. I have no money on me as well as I am not sure what I need. We are going into a situation and if we choose to go down the path selected I am still not sure what to grab. I mean sir am I indeed supposed to be the muscle?" She asks not sure what the plan is or if they are going down the plan at hand.

Simmons waves his hand, "forget that idea for now. And anything we get is on the Major so no need for money. You need civilian clothes. Something that if you put on you would just look like another person walking down the street. Grab a couple of changes, maybe one business suit. Sorry, I cna't help you with style or what not, as long as I have lived, I still don't know much about women's clothes. You have have to make nice with one of the others if you need help."

Not sure how she is going to work it, but knowing she has to she goes and starts the long process of shopping even if Simmons follows or not. "Mr. Simmons I will do my best!" As such she starts going through and picking up the stuff she needs the most.
As such starting in the clothing aisle, a place she has not been since she was shop lifting, she selects a variety of things that will work for all possibilities. Then heading to the shoes aisle to pick up some appropriate footwear. Lastly she stops at the electronics aisle to pick up supplies that could be useful in keeping up appearances.
Equipment picked up (Will be cloned in equipment thread) - 1 Pants suit - 3 T-shirts - 3 sets of undergarments - 3 Pairs of jeans - 1 cocktail Dress - 1 one piece swimsuit - 1 Motorla zoom - 1 17" Laptop - 2 Portable Hard drives - 1 Smart phone - 2 pairs of running shoes - 1 Nice pair of shoes - One trench-coat (Mens) - 2 Berets - 2 lighters

"Bigger things? If she is allowed to skate on this once, she will continue to be insubordinate, and unreliable. If she faces no consequence, other than you picking up her check, she will do it again. You saw her smirk. She thinks it's a game of piss off the officer. How much worse can it be than that?
"She has no experience, doesn't even have her own clothes and on top of that is a convicted murderer. To add to potential trouble, Simmons seems amorous toward her. I do not need factions in my group before we even arrive at the OA.
"It appears I'm outranked on this one, Major, but I do not believe, especially with my handicaps, that I can maintain discipline with her. She's not a ranger, or SF or especially Delta. Hell, she's straight out of AIT and someone learned she was gifted. With her gang history, it is unlikely she would have ever survived as a soldier. For the good of the team as a whole, transfer her to reg force and get me even a regular communications expert from Fort Huachuca. Even better a geek from Langley or Quantico. We need hard chargers, but we need team players. An individual is not acceptable for the goals of this mission, sir."
"Oh, and if you overrule me on this, and she is to stay. I will need to have her criminal record expunged immediately. No, I do not want her here, but to maintain secrecy, I can't have her facing arrest for felon with a handgun, or her identity tracked through a fingerprint."

"Oh I can buy a lot of things myself. Just want to make sure I know who my friends are," Lane said with a warm smile as Simmons left with Alexandra.
"Thanks, McKenzie. I've been to this BX a few times. I know just where to find the yogurt. Soft serve, with 15 flavors and 80 toppings. But business before pleasure."
She led McKenzie back to sporting goods and begins sorting through a rack of baseball bats. "Ever seen 'Inglorious Bastards?' There is a character named Donny Donowitz, played by the incredibly sexy Eli Roth. His nickname is 'The Bear Jew.'
She selected a number of bats, and took a practice swing with each one. "I played softball in high school. Short stop. All Jewish, All girls. No cracks about softball players at a girls' school if you don't mind. I've heard 'em all before. Some of them are actually true."
Finally she reduced her options to three. All were wooden, one black, one two-toned, one with a light finish. She read the autograph on each one, and smiled when she saw the name. Kevin Youlkis. "My team is the Mets. But I hate the Yankees. Any Red Sox player is okay in my book, especially if he is Jewish."
She went to the counter and purchased the bat, along with some bat tape. "Care to guess how The Bear Jew applied his bat? Now I can't shoot lightning or turn into the human torch or anything without a little help, but I can swing for the fences...
Bat in a BX bag, she led McxKenzie to the yogurt shop. "Which brings me to my next question. I need to know, besides your ability to fly helicopters, specifically what you can do. I mean everything. When eyes are off, I will need you to demonstrate. You see, I'm kind of like Mystique. I can look like anyone, yes. But I am also a bit like Rogue. I can mimic super powers.
"I was hoping Simmons would be more cooperative, but it appears he's busy doing other things. So for now, I can learn from you. As for tact, I'll give it when it is given in return. If this was IDF, Alexandra would have been shot.
"You seem alright, however," she said with a grin.

Once the private goes off on her own Simmons makes his way to the mens section. He had brough civilian clothes with him, however, it was more khaki's and button downs than jeans and t-shirts, things he wore in his role as a teacher.
He goes through the men's section picking up some jeans, a few T-shirts, and some jeans to match, a pair of hiking boots as well. He also grabbed two pairs of over sized jeans, and exceedingly baggy shirts, as he does so he thinks, *if we have to be gang banger's, I may need to look the part.*
As he walks by he catches his reflection in a mirror and pauses to look. he silver haired eye brows, and silver crew cut catching a glint off the bad flourescent lighting, *guess the rest of it will have to go too. Bad enough I had to trim down the fro,* he thinks before moving on out of the men's department and into sporting goods. He looks around for a good set of throwing knives. *maybe I should have stopped by my storage unit and gotten my good gear. Better I didn't. No need to tip off the nerds or the computer about that ID,* he thinks as he picks through the department store knife department.
Finding the last of what he wants he then heads for a register and instead of putting it on the general, pulls his own credit card to pay for the goods.
