Dr. Light held up a single finger. "That assumes that one, there is such a thing as Kryptonians. All we have as proof of that is Superman's word, and there are several scientific problems with that; He claims to be powered by Earth's yellow sunlight, but there even if he absorbed decades worth of solar light, it still isn't enough energy to account for even the smallest fraction of his powers if you do the math." she folds her arms. "There are several other competing theories that are equally valid; that if he is an alien, he's a shapeshifter like J'Onn. Or that he is not an alien, and his statement of such is part of a cover story, or a hallucination brought on by the manifestation of his powers. So I reject your theories Batman, until such time as there is adequate scientific proof and sufficient study. That is the act of a rational scientist." She floats forward, clearly not interested in continuing the debate.
Sardath leads the group into the base of the mountain. There is a crude command center, as operators co-ordinate with the ragtag rebels. A small table is set up with strange fruits and unfamiliar liquids, with the exception of the water. The rebels all look with great suspicion at Hawkgirl and Hawkman.
Sardath pours a drink and offers it to the leaguers. "Tell me, have any of you heard of a hyper-space bypass?"
(Note: Flash, Batman, and especially Hawkgirl remember that the Hyper-Space Bypass was what the Thangarians were constructing on Earth that would have destroyed the planet during their incursion).

Shayera smirks at Green Arrow's response and replies, "No, it's not. It's what the Thanagarians were constructing on Earth that would have destroyed the planet had they succeed in their incursion." Shayera's face is sombre as she remembers everything that had happened and how, in the end, it had destroyed her relationship with John. Sighing she focuses on the task at hand and waits for Sardath to continue.

Sardath nods at Hawkgirl's comment. "Yes. Exactly. Now they are attempting it here, for reasons I cannot fathom. From what we've observed, the Thanagarian empire is in disarray after the Gordanian incursion. It was only some weeks ago that they were able to regain control of their own planet."
Adam Strange rejoins the group. "It doesn't matter. What matters is that they've seized Rannagar City and are building the device there. We'll need all the help we can get to stop them."
Sardath sighs and continues. "Hence activating all remaining Zeta-Beacons, which drew all of you here."
Hawkman speaks up, lifting his his sword. "Well, since you've gone to so much trouble." He smiles, patting the sword. "and we're already here....I think we can be some help." He turns and sees the Leaguers. He frowns a bit. "..that is,...well, I don't want to speak for everyone here."
Dr. Light joins in. "I didn't join the League to turn my back on people in need."

After finishing a serious helping of refreshments, and being polite enough to swallow what he was eating, Flash nods. "Isn't that what they were trying to build on Earth, to help them win their war?"

Shayera smirks at Flash and replies, "That's what I just said. Try to keep up, would you?" It's clear she isn't upset at Flash, and is just teasing him in the way she normally does.
The smirk disapears when she hears about the state the Thanagarians are in and what they are asked to do. 'Here we go again' Shayera thinks to herself as she nods and says, "Very well, I'll help. I should warn you now though I won't be the most popular person to them." If asked, all Shayera will tell Sardeth is "Let's just say bridges have been burned."

Sardath nods. "Popularity? How will that help in repulsing an invasion force?" Adam Strange smiles as he steps in. "I can take it from here Sardath. Alright, Let's head out." **** Some time later, you find yourself moving towards a flying city. A rebel hovercar meets you and transports you to the silent, eerie streets, partially lit by the full moon, but even that illumination is cut by the shadow of the Thanagarian battlecruiser hovering in orbit.  Strange and the League move into the dark and silent city when they see a face projected on the walls of many of the towers; a face Hawkgirl remembered all too well.  Hro Talek's voice echoed throughout the streets. "MANDATORY CURFEW IS IN EFFECT. ALL VIOLATORS WILL BE SEVERELY PUNISHED. PLEASE CO-OPERATE." |

Shayera sighs to herself as she hears Hro Talek's voice and thinks to herself, 'Figures' Muttering to herself, Shayera says to no one in particular, "Of all the invasions on all the planets in the galaxy, you had to be at this one." Looking at the rest of the group, Shayera asks "What's the plan?"

If the two of you can lure some patrolmen your way you can confiscate their uniforms and impersonate them. This will give us an opportunity to learn more about their invasion and plans for this world."

Hawkgirl, you will need to roll your profession (Thanagarian Soldier) skill check to see if you can properly predict the patrol pattern.
Dr. Light nods. "Not a problem."
Adam Strange draws his pistol. "Ready."
Hawkman puts his hand on Shayera's shoulder. "Are you going to be alright?"

Shayera nods at Batman as she says, "That's a good idea. I definitely can't go the way I am. I don't imagine Hro will be all that pleased to see me." Shayera tries to predict the patrol pattern so that she and Hawkman can strike at the right moment. (Profession: Thanagarian Soldier [dice=20+12] ) 'Hopefully they haven't changed their patrol pattern' Shayera thinks to herself.
When Hawkman asks if she will be all right, she simply nods at him and replies, "I'll be fine." Whether or not she actually will be fine is up for debate, but Shayera is determined to focus on what they needed to do to accomplish their mission.[rand=34650328227957353223218820382356464844563370833406356300735166959]
