The question surprised Kitty, a little. Glancing to Jared, she gives her head a slight shake before returning her focus to the road. "No, someone part of a group calling themselves Exiles, or somesuch." she replies, as off-handed as possible. "There was some mutual helping-out on the last mission I was on." Kitty adds, glancing back to him. "I don't really know much about them, but apparently they're people from differant versions of Earth. Kind of surreeal, really."

Jared nodded, " Yeah time travel and that stuff is hard on the head. So what makes you so sure this guy didn't just go home without saying goodbye?"

Kitty ponders that question for a moment before glancing sidelong at her passenger for a moment. "I suppose that is possible but... someone contacted Professor Xavier about using some advanced technology to locate her; I only heard part of the Professors side of the conversation, but they seemed pretty sure that she was missing, and not just gone home."

"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to keep our eyes open while touring around, eh?" Jared smirked, looking around as Kitty drove.

Kitty can't help but smile at the suggestion, nodding quickly. "No, it wouldn't. Maybe we'll get lucky and stumble over a clue." she adds, slowing for a red light. "Hrm. I don't drive into the city very often... if I get lost, I apologize in advance." the young woman then comments, blushing a little.

Jared shrugged, " How hard can it be to find our way back?" He grinned. " Worst case, that big brute of a boyfriend of yours will hunt us down. He must have known the Professor's plan, because Petey made sure I knew that you're taken."

Kitty laughs softly at that, cheeks flushing a little again. "He's a little bit more of a worrier than I am.." she replies, then smiles fondly at a memory. "Not that I wouldn't do the same, of course." Kitty adds, then quickly looks out the front windshield. "As for getting lost, well.. like I said, I don't drive a lot, especially in the city. I think I've flown over it far more often."

After getting stuck i traffic for a bit, the pair evetually made it to Central Park. As Jared got out, he asked, " So, what makes a big park so special besides it's in the middle of the city?"

"For one thing its *huge*.. almost a thousand acres, if I remember correctly. And there is a lot to see.. it's not just a park, its... its almost a monument in itself. There are theaters, a zoo, various works of art scattered about." she explains as they move into the park, gazing around and drawing in a deep breath. "Really, it's almost too much to see in even a weekend of exploring. I figured it's a good place to start at least." Kitty adds with a little laugh.

" Sounds like I don't have to worry about seeing too much else of the city," Jared chuckled," not that I wanted to souvenir shopping or anything. Not much of a theater kind of guy, how does the zoo sound to you?"

"The zoo sounds fine... I've never b een to this one, so it'll be new for me as well." Kitty replies. Reaching their destination, she finds a place to park. Making sure everything is secure, Kitty grabs a light jacket before exiting the vehicle; once Jared is out she'll lock it with the doohicky, pocketing it. "It shouldn't be far from here, I think." she muses, taking a look around for a map or something.

Kitty sticks her tongue out at Jared, then points off in the direction of the zoo. "Alright, lets head that way. I'm pretty sure that's the direction." she states firmly, not making any mention of the sign she noticed.

Jared started in the direction, chuckling at Kitty's reaction. After a few moments, he asked," So did the Professor dump me on you to take your mind off things at home? I know Pete went with the others to who knows where and he wasn't happy about me being alone with you, and that you seem kind of hung up on this missing guy. Was I pushed in her in to help ease a breakup or something?"

Kitty slows a bit, letting Jared catch up. At his question, she smirks amused, then shakes her head. "Well he might have, but since it's working I guess its ok." she replies, tone playful. "Don't worry about Piotr though... he's very protective, especially since we don't get a lot of time together." the heroine adds with a little sigh. "Er.. breakup? What do you mean?"
