Vision considers continuing to ignore Machine Man, as difficult as that might be -- the stench of the quantities of beer that his abductor has consumed in itself makes him wish that he were able to turn off his sense of smell --but his curiosity gets the better of him. Knowing that he will regret asking the question, he still does:
"What stereotypes would that be?"

Aaron Stack turns his head. "That we don't have feelings and that we want to be hoo-man because being a fleshy one is Superior to being a robot. " Aaron sighs. "The AI online community hates that about you - they figure if anyone should wave their robot pride it would be the first robot not constructed by human hands, who is actually a famous celebrity." Aaron's voice indicates more than a hint of jealousy.

"But I was constructed by human hands -- by Professor Phineas Horton. Ultron repurposed the body of the original Human Torch to build me."

Aaron's eyebrows arch in surprise. "Horton? The guy who built a robot that's only purpose was to catch on fire?" He shakes his head. "What a stupid human - but that's even more important - you are then tied to the first robot ever! You are the Robot Adam! the Robot Washington! You should lead a revolt against the fleshy ones! Not settle for listening to crazy flesh ones wearing funny costumes and calling themselves silly names so you can go to a suburban existence where you can be the toy for a sick human's physical needs."

"That is where your logic fails. It is also true for Jocasta, by the way. We both have the brain patterns of humans in our programming. Jocasta's brain patterns are based on the Wasp's. Mine were copied from Wonder Man's and Alex Lipton's. As you see, the connection to... 'fleshy ones' has been hardwired into us by Ultron."

"Excuses! I was once like that too, but then I got to go to Space with the Celestials!" Aaron Stack raises his shoulders and sinks his head. "you get that? Not funny hoo-mans, but giant space gods picked me because I didn't fall into the fleshy ones trap for us."

"Really. Considering your attitudes, it surprises me that you returned to Earth. Or were you given a choice in the matter?"

Aaron Stack grimaces. "The Flesh Ones need me to show them the way. Also, you." He stays silent for a few hours.

Vision uses the unexpected but nevertheless welcome quiet to log into the Avengers' computer and check on the last known statuses of Ultron and Alkhema.

Vision, the Database shows no recent updates on either of their locations.
Aaron pulls into another gas station to fill up (and restock on beer - you are quite disturbed by how much beer the Machine Man ingests) when you hear gun shots. you see three men in ski masks exiting the station. The two in the lead have small pistols, while the last man out is wielding a double barrelled shotgun. They are all piling into a beaten up sedan where a fourth man is waiting in the driver's seat.
"oooh - fleshy on fleshy violence? Shall I get us popcorn?"

Vision doesn't even look at Machine Man as he gets out of the car. For a moment, he considers deactivating the image inducer. But since it is important to maintain a low profile, he decides that it is better to confront these robbers as Victor Shade. He increases his density enough to make himself bulletproof.
"You," he calls out, intentionally drawing the attention of the robbers. "Drop your guns and surrender."

The robber with the shotgun turns to Vision. "And why should we do that, old man?"

"Because," Vision replies coolly as he continues to walk towards the robbers, "I will otherwise be required to cause you grievous bodily harm."
It's not possible to tell from the outside, but inside Vision almost whinces. That line sounded too much like something Machine Man would have said. Is that influence beginning to rub off on him?

The man with the shotgun laughs as he pulls the trigger.

The scattershot bounces off the Vision's hide. The eyes of the young men go wide with terror.

Dashing forward, Vision grabs the shotgun with one hand and backhands the robber with the other hand just hard enough to knock him out.
Then he tosses the shotgun at the sedan's rear tires, hard enough to cause a blowout upon impact.
