The explosion draws Firehawks attention immediately; eyes wide, she doesn't hesitate, launching herself into a flying dive ahead of the falling Canary in attempt to 'lead' her a bit, to give her enough time to get there and catch her.

Seeing that this is her chance, Shayera doesn't hesitate to take the shot as she rushes in as quickly as she can so she can strike with the mace again.

Firehawk, you catch Black Canary.
Green Arrow, you have to decide whether to listen to Atom and fire an arrow with him on it.
Bane snaps the bola chord. "Pathetic. all this power is wasted on these games. It should be used better. I will demonstrate." Bane goes to put on the captured Green Lantern ring of John Stewart.

As Green Arrow's arrow comes close enough to Bane and the ring, the Atom leaps from the arrow to the ring, without increasing his size.

Hawkgirl and Flashes strikes bring the General to his knees, as Green Lantern keeps his construct holding him back - in fact, you can feel the General is getting weaker.
Firehawk grabs the Canary as Arrow's shaft hits the mark, Atom leaps to grab the ring, and does so, even as it edges closer to the big man's finger.

The ring slips out of Bane's thick fingers as the Atom increases his mass and Green Arrow's shot hits its mark.

Atom is faced with two choices: one is to expand his shrinking field to take GL's ring down to minuscule size with him.
But the other... There's something he had always wanted to try, and now is the chance.
Atom shrinks the ring down and leaps away from Bane. When he feels that the distance is safe enough he starts to grow, grow into the ring, chanting...
"In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might beware my power, Green Atom's light."
Now he will finally find out what he always wanted to know: is the ring keyed to the designated wearer, or will it respond to whoever wears it.
In the latter case, having the extra firepower won't hurt. In the former case, at least the ring is out of the big thug's hands.

"Guess we had what it takes." He remarks with a smirk.
