After she finished, Tyler grinned at Sparks, then Felicia. " I told you not to carry a purse. All this could have been avoided."
"Shut up," Felicia snapped, glaring at Tyler," or will never have..." she was cut off as the room burst into laughter. She shook her head with a roll of her eyes. " I gotta come up with a new threat."
Trevor ducked into the kitchen, returning with the remains of the six pack of coke. " Help yourself. " He said with a grin before retaking his seat.
"Uh oh, barbeque boy has that look in his eyes." Lenny snickered, quickly getting a swat that caused another round of laughter.
" It's too bad Khris didn't tell you what was so important he came down here to tell us in the first place. " Tyler said as the room died down again. " He'll find a place to hole up and get patched up. Then he'll be on the first flight back to New York." He looked acrossed the room at Terri. " I'm sure he'll be fine. It's not the first time he's been hurt like that and got away."

"Me? Leader? Are you kidding?" Ashley chuckled, sliding her chair back so she could rest her feet on the table. " Out of the question. You saw how fast I lose my temper in that alleyway this afternoon. When I transform, I can barely control myself, there's no way I could make important decisions in the middle of a situation." She explained, rubbing her arm as a walnut sized black lump appeared for a moment before disappearing back under her oversized t-shirt. " You want someone to lead us, find Jason and get him to come back. He won't talk to any of us because he blames us for his accident, but he might be civilized with you."

"I could site decades of precedent about instinct. But the fact of the matter is, you'll need to learn to control yourself anyways, if you want to be successful. Everyone has, including myself and Tyler. And I don't just mean being able to turn on your powers at will, and not even to turn them off, but being able to decide when to do either. I can teach you that anyways, but, besides your temper, you seem to have a more level head than the rest. If this Jason guy were here, I'ld ask him, but he's not. Besides, you'ld be the one in charge of that rabble, and a focused leader reduces bickering." *And itchy feeling in the back of William's neck caused him to suspect that Jason had been, infact, wearing a trenchcoat, and was left dead in that apartment.*

*William grins* "We'll figure something out. It'll take time, but it'll come." *He leans back* "Tyler's only one that knows, seen me in action... but for the last while... god, at least since Viet Nam, I've been training people like you to be leader, and other such hokem. Usually, though, I get paid an arm and a leg and it's for some military and SCRET. Trained Tyler myself."

*having kept her part in the bike's motor becoming defunct from the story looks back at Trevor .. 'now .. about Khris .. *goes into the part that he was there and what he said .. pauses to open another coke and drinks half of it down before continuing and finishes with the mad dash to freedom
'so thats all i know .. the rest of the info is for ashley or kodiak if you prefer .. its none of your business about what it is about ..
*finishes the last of the coke and looks at the faces and stares at Felicity .. 'they're right .. IF you gonna pose as something you aren't .. then make sure that the gear you take is second nature for you .. the purse is gone, as is the cards and stuff inside, but ...' *proceeds to take out the cellphone that was in it and then sets the battery beside it 'it .. kinda fell outta my pocket and got all wet .. sorry *then sits back against the chair and half closes the eyes and watches the faces through her slitted eyes

" Pfft, I've seen Tyler's leadership skills. You'll have to do better than that to impress me." Ashley smirked as she stood up.
" Kid, quit trying to pick a fight you don't want any part of." Felicia scowled. Before she could say more, Tyler cut her off with a shake of his head. " Too bad Khris never said who he was in town to meet, must have been worth a small fortune to get him out of New York."
He rose with a stretch and a groan before going into the next room. The others started to go back to their pointless ramblings, but Tyler's bellow from the other room got everyone's attention. " Hey guys! Get in here, you gotta hear this!"

*William looks at Ahsley, then hears the bellow. *"We should go look, yes?" *And he gets up, heading out of the conference room* "And, just bewteen you and me, he was never trained to be a leader. But the damage he did before he met me was phenomenal. He was trained to control his powers." *And with that, he was through the door.*

*gives the head a shake, and then closes the eyes until the shout
*leaping to the feet and then into a crouch and instinctively a marble is sizzling in the hand as she looks about
'oops ... sorry *then looks at the marble and with a grin of dry humour .. tucks it into the pocket as it stops the sizzling 'sorry about that .. i fell asleep
*then moves slowly as she follows the others towards the other room, not bothering to hide the yawn

As everyone piles in to the TV lounge, Tyler turns up the volume. A middle aged asian man, identified as Deputy Mayor Leo Saing is in the middle of a press conference in front of City Hall.
" ...to end this plague upon our city. In an emergengy meeting of the city councillors, the late Mayor Gentry's program to deal with the growing mutant problem in Miami was adapted unaminously and I will speak to the newly activated organization's officers this evening to make sure they have Miami's full support and they are ready to deploy.
We have several key figures on the list of mutant threats, but I cannot disclose the list at this time for fear it will cause them to attempt evasion, but I can assure you that the two mutants who were involved with the murder of Mayor Gentry this afternoon are high on the list. I can also pledge to the citizens of Miami that I will do everything possible to bring these and the other mutant threats to our fair city are dealt with swiftly. I wish I had time for questions, but they will have to wait for now."
With that, he stepped away from the mic, escorted by several guards and ushered to a waiting limosene. The newscaster quickly recapped as as the video feed showed the car pull away. The video switched to the images of a fiery car wreck involving a CNN van. " in other news, officials have confirmed that well known reporter Lara..."
The television shut off as Tyler tossed the remote at the wall, scattering the batteries. Gritting his teeth, he tried to contain his disgust. " Can you beleive that little weasel? He just instituted an anti-meta patrol. We're screwed, you know that at least Felicia and I are on that list."
" Calm down, Ty." Terri suggested.
" Oh I"m calm." He replied, his tone eeriely calm as his eyes seemed to crackle with electricity as he made a fist. " It's all just too neat, how today seems to have fallen together."

'no she dont .. she relies on mister copper suit with a strange accent .. big and nasty. thats how she got out of the alley.
*then making no attempt to cover the yawn, closes the eyes and starts to fade from awareness once again as the lack of sleep for the past little while catches up to her
*the skates hit the floor, and half rousing looks about and then the chin rests on the chest as she falls asleep standing up

" That was who?" Lenny asks as the newscast came back on to the tail end of a story regarding a missing missing civil servant wanted by police. Most of the people in the room look at Ashley at Spark's description of Transit, but she simply stares out the window blankly as if she missed it.
Trevor stood up, scowling. " Well just sitting here isn't doing any good. Why don't we go do something, see if we can find out why they tried to get Felicia involved , or something."
Tyler looked at the napping Sparks with a grin, then turned to William. " I think you played out your new friend. But the kid's right, we need to do something."
Felicia steps behind Sparks, just in case she needs to be caught from falling, as if she's done this before.
