*goes still as a rock, once the slingshot is mentioned, and thus, draws more attention to herself
' .. its a slingshot .. and it .. uhh .. throws things farther than i can throw them .. why? *head turns to stare at Lenny, while the free hand moves to cover the thing up
'dont worry, its only for defense .. *then looks at the floor again and finaly raises the head to drink half the soda. Then sitting up after a few moments, lets the built up gas escape in a quiet drawn out hiss
'sorry .. *then starts again with the skates and tries hard to stay out of the attention now

Tyler shrugged after a moment. " Got me. Terri's the most level headed of them, but if her old man found out we're all toast.So I guess that would leave one of the kids, either Ashley or Trevor."
" That's cool. "Terri replied, looking at the slingshot. The others went back to their own conversations, but both Felicia and Trevor kept their eyes on Sparks as they ate..

*William has a thoughtful look on his face, leading Tyler to suspect that he was chosing the one that would lead to their doom.* "Terri." *He says, in a calm voice* "It'll come out eventually. You know that the secret won't last for ever. The only gamble is that it isn't her father taking over. If he isn't then we'll be doing him a favour. And I realize what'll happen if he is the one." *He takes a deep breath.* "Plus, this way, she'll be harder to approach about stupid questions regarding her family. Askley and Trevor can be seconds."
*He bites into his steak* "Do we tell her now, or later?"

" You're serious, aren't you?" Tyler shook his head. " No way. Do you realize who her old man is? That's the only daughter of Nilo Domicelli sitting in there. The only reason she's even here is because of a debt I owed Lenny. Not to mention that whole mess in the park was kinda because of her." He gave a look that said drop it. " It has to be one of the others, any of them. "

*Williams jaw dropped, and a look of disbelief flitted across his face* "You let a Don's daughter in because of a debt? All the more reason shw should be in charge. Just to teach you a lesson."
*He takes another bite, this one more contemplative.* "Well. Fine. I'm in charge until one of them proves they can handle it. And that person leads, whether you like it or not."
*He bites into his food* "A debt? How the hell? Do I really want to know? Or is it that she's Lenny's cash cow? Lenny's definitely off the list, since his motivations have put this place at risk." *He looks at the door* "I have half a mind to tell him that now."

" Lenny worked for Terri's old man, and technically still does, but we can trust him. I owed him after he saved my tail when I got in a mess with some of the locals." Tyler explained without going into detail. " So when he got her away from Nilo when her abilities started to surface, I told him we could work something out. Hell, she's supposed to be attending college down here, at least thats what her old man thinks, and I wanna keep it that way."
" Metal man that can't talk?" Ashley asked, interupting. " Coppery looking guy, with a real heavy accent, sounds almost russian?"
" What the heck is Transit doing helping...." Trevor started to ask.
Felicia cut him off. " I told you that he was bad news, Ash."
"Shut up Falicia," Ashley snapped, " What was he doing at the park?" She asked with a wounded tone.

*Williams look of disbelief turned to a scowl. Followed by a rather loud 'He what!?!?!' that can be heard from the other room. After a moment, and a deep breath:* "You sir, have gotten yourself into more trouble than you can imagine... How could have been so stupid? Letting mafia in here so easily? Saved your life or not, that man, and that woman are a danger to you, and everyone here. I'ld be suprised if Mr. Domicelli doesn't already know, and that this is his plan." *William rubs the bridge of his nose.*

*looks up and keeps the mouth closed
'guess i said too much already. i think i better just be quiet now, but i know that i heard her voice somewhere before, just cant place it.
*then goes back to minding her own business and the skate and examines the wheels one by one, and hopes that they'll change the subject. Then finally looks up and comments .. ' .. copper, yeah .. impervious to my marble, but paid by the snotty bint that set me up. dont worry, i'll get my arse outta here, and save you the trouble of trying to protect it. someone out there will put me outta my misery, so you all can keep harping at each other as if you're the best at life and everyone aint worth the time of day. have fun killing each other then'
*stands up and picks up the skates and slings them over the shoulder 'dont worry, i can see myself out, and i wont tell anyone where you are. as if that really mattered'

Tyler slid off the counter, and pointed towards the other room, his tone becoming aggrivated. " Look, those two have been here for six months now, and we've never had a problem. They're here to get away from her old man, not spy for him. He's only on the payroll to look out for her. You know how those people are with they're bodyguards? If it makes you feel any better, I'll ask them to stay out of this one, I can find something else for them to look into."
As sparks starts to see herself out, she can overhear Felicia and Ashley continuing to snap at one another, the topic being Transit and Ashley's poor taste in dating. After a moment, Trevor calls from behind Sparks. " Wait, you probably shouldn't go." He walked up to her, with a sheepish look. " Look, we all a little edgy because we got snookered so we'd miss what was going on at the park, not to mention Denial and his goons kicked our butts. Come on back inside, we really can help each other." He smiled lightly, motioning towards the door.

*william sighs* "Fine. Make them work how they want. But I will be keeping them at a distance from me until I know what's going on." *He finishes his food.* "Now, if you'll excuse me. I'm going to inagurate the new lieutenant." *He smiles a rather fake smile, and, after placing the plate in the sink, storms out of the kitchen into the main room.* "Ashley." *he says sharply, heading for the room Tyler had walked into when William first arrived.* "Come with me."
*Any question as to why would be met with a sharp look and not a single answer why.*

*pauses to turn and look at Trevor, and then with a sigh, moves back to rejoin the others and flop into the seat.
' i ... ' *then goes quiet as the arguement gets a bit louder before getting cut off altogether by William's command. leans back in the chair and crosses the ankles, for all intents and purposes, she seems to be relaxed, but is wound up tight like a coiled spring or yo-yo.
'jeez .. i feel real welcome here .. either everyone is biting the others head off, or you're stuffed under a microscope .. *at that point, turns to stare at the ones that were staring at her.
'what did you wanna know? .. am i contagious? .. no ... do i like guys? .. yeah, if they got brains and not snip anothers head off ... might i know something? .. maybe, but i sure dont wanna talk about it now .. anything else? .. oh yeah .. the skin is black all over .. wanna see? ..
*stands up and looks at them all 'i can prove it .. anyone wanna see? ... if not .. get the *cusses at this point to make her point* off my back and talk to me normal .. otherwise .. i dont talk to none of you .. you aint worth the time
*plonks back down again, with the air of total uninterest in the others.

Felicia snickers at Spark's outburst. " I like her already."
Trevoor rolled his eyes at the comment. " You were at the park, tell us what happened."
"And anything Khris might have told you before he got shot." Tyler added as he returned, taking Ashley's spot and looking Terri, who's face betrayed her worries at the mention of Khris.
Ashley walked into the conference-like room and took a seat. She stared at William suspiciously. " You wanted to see me?"

'oh i see, give flak to everyone until answers are needed ... i'm not here cause i wanna be, i'm here cause i got info on people i guess i maybe shouldn't have .. like Khris .. and the freak on the phone .. troll .. and a couple others ..
*looks over at Trevor 'i'll answer your question .. cause of what i know .. the others will wait unless you ask .. at least yer polite and talk to people and not over their heads ..
'it all started in the park when i got a hold of a purse that was just sitting on the bench and unguarded. guess some bint forgot to take it with her when she went for a hotdog, so i took what i thought was an easy mark .. *then continues with the stuff that happened at the park - the freaky guy on the phone talking to another bint .. etc.*
*then sits forward to grab her coke can and gives it a shake, 'oh blastit .. its empty .. *then leans back against the chair once again*
