Dark Rider, you see two figures emerge out the back door of the bakery - one of them in armor.
Rex, the bouncer takes the $20. "You know, a man with that much money, probably has more money on him." As the hobo hoists up his gun at you.
Caleb, roll for prowl as you approach the farmhouse.

Mr. Colt smiles behind the mask, flick of his wrist and a pair of .38 derringers appear in hand, aimed at the bouncer. "I do hope you can tell your friend to lower his weapon, and let me inside to partake of this fine establishment without further harassment. If not, he may fire his shotgun at me, and send me sprawling, but my first four shots you will get to examine up close and personal, before you leave this existence."[rand=91905714084479363126066917560197470222592903718136997641651745895]

Dark Rider, you see two figures emerge out the back door of the bakery - one of them in armor. (OOC: have I heard of this Steelfist character? If yes, do I make the connection?) Streetwise: [dice=100+4] "About time," the Dark Rider mutters to himself. It's only thanks to some techniques his grandfather had taught him, techniques Grandpa himself had learned from friendly Indians, that he isn't tired or stiff from all the waiting and observing. But no, he feels like a hunter should -- alert and ready to hunt down the prey. And the prey has just emerged from the bakery. Hugging the dark, he follows them. [dice=100+5] for prowl.[rand=1436460108735551331597288456355472810541363513738933589590816967]

"I can't beleive I'm going to say this," Lex said, shaking his head," but you drive. This suit isn't meant for behind the wheel." He handed off the key to his reliable but well used truck. " I'm going to get on the back after we get going. If you're right and he's on to us, chances are he might follow us, so I want to be ready if he does."

Caleb doesn't prowl (no skill for a skill role, I figured it was redundant with limited selections), if there are people out there that might spot him, he plans to turn invisible.
If he gets spotted before he sees someone, he'll just go invisible. Seeing a scarecrow walking around a corn field that suddenly vanishes is kind of his schtick. What he does after vanishes depends on the situation.

Avery nods and sighs, "Alright, figures I would have missed them..."
He finishes his drink and sets the glass back down, tipping his hat as he sits up, "Any body or place you would recommend I check out to keep up with them?"
Avery uses telepathy this time to glean what knowledge this question brings up from the bartenders mind.

(Avery)
"Out west by the farms. But I'd be careful if I was you." the Bartender turns back to his other patrons. You see in his mind that "Pasty" Maroni has a fortified farmland he uses as a distillery in the western farmlands, and he figures that Maroni's sharpshooters will dispose of you quickly.
(Rex)
The bouncer forces on a smile, though clearly he's afraid. "Yeah, and what makes you bulletproof? I don't see any magic body armor under that sissy suit."
(Dark Rider, Steel Fist, Vivian)
Dark Rider, you have heard of the Steel Fist - an armored, heavily armed vigilante who's torn up the inner city the way you have the countryside.
Vivian and Steel Fist, you are feeling that you are being watched as you start to get into the truck

"Nuts," the Rider says to himself. "Now they'll think I got them all hot and bothered to do my work for me."
That wouldn't do, but if there's one thing the Dark Rider is proud of, it's his idea of himself as someone who knows how to improvise.
Therefore, while both the Steel Fist and his sidekick are busy watching their backs, the Rider makes a series of quick jumps and leaps --
-- that puts him right in front of the truck.
(While he leaps and jumps, he idly wonders what the sidekick calls herself -- The Barbed Beauty?)
"Howdy, fellas," he says with the Rider's trademark Midwestern drawl. "I hear you're looking for a weird truck you've misplaced. Well, I happen to have found one. Interested?"

Vivian grins as she snaches the keys out of Lex's hand, happy for the rare opportunity to get to drive. Just as she starts to get that feeling that they're being watched again, Dark Rider shows up again. Vivian takes a step back, shooting Dark Rider a dark look, fighting the urge to shoot him in the foot with an arrow. "Who says we're looking for a weird truck?" she asks. (OOC: Viv doesn't really have a cool nickname yet. Barbed Beauty is funny though )

Mr. Colt chuckles, doing his best to make it sound grim. "Never said I was, but do you really want to be the first one to die? I had you figured as an intelligent man with good manners. Your friend takes the shells out of his weapon, I go inside after the proper password is spoken, you get to keep the $20 I gave you, and no hard feelings. That, and you get to stop looking at four barrels so close and personal."

The Dark Rider pushes his black Stetson hat back. Winking and smiling, he tells the Barbed Beauty,
"You're not lookin' for that curious truck that caused a ruckus and lured you outta your building? Now, I'd thought that'd be of interest to you even when I thought that bakery's a cover for a mob gun shop. But now that I see I was wrong about that, I'd figure you'd be even more interested in that. Unless you got some other leads, of course."
Tilting his head, he casts a smirk at Steel Fist.
"Unless that don't worry you at all, seein' as how it was pretty easy to get into your place."

Lex wasn't happy that his secret had been discovered so easily, even if was a like minded protector of the city. " Anyone can break into a bakery, Rider. What do you want from us? You must want something if you 've come back to us a third time. I assume it's not for another sandwich?" He guessed, since that was where they had gotten the tip about where to start.

The Dark Rider tips his hat.
"I wasn't gone in the first place. I'd originally planned to poke you fellas a bit and see where that leads, when I still thought you were mob. But seein't how you ain't, I'm here to propose an alliance. 'Cause I reckon we're probably after the same thing." He keeps the smirk on as he adds, "Are you sure they just broke into the bakery? If you're not mob, that means they weren't out to take the competition. Maybe they staged that because they're on to you."

" Only one person has broke into the bakery," Lex answered while making sure not to mention his past affiliation with the mob," and it seems he was only there to accost the hired help." He thought for a moment, then nodded and looked to Vivian," An alliance makes sense." He offered a handshake to seal their combining efforts.

"Are you sure that there weren't more?" the Dark Rider says, taking the hand. "Considering that none of your doors were locked while you were out, it would've been fairly easy to get in and out without you noticing."
