Issue 13: Tally's Tale

Grunts, moves his hand a fraction, *snickt*, and sinks three claws into Maximus left buttock. "Try that again bub, and I'll make sure the claws go up into a kidney."

DD smiles as it seems Tabitha is coming out of the mind control. He extends his arms to offer her comfort, "its ok Tabitha," his voice DD's again, "Maximus tried to hypnotize you. I think your out of it now."

Captain America smiles. "Shut it down. Good work. Both of you." He looks to Spider-man. "Shut it down and get her out of that thing." He leans in and whispers "and make sure no one else can use it."

Maximus rubs his backside. "Yow!"

Ronan folds his arms. "If we are done with this issue, we should probably get back to the matter of this...young woman's future."

Pietro looks at the larger Ronan. "That woman just spared you from becoming mass murderers."

"Of Terrans. If I've read the files correctly, you have even less respect for them than I."

Pietro clenches his fists. "I may have my...issues with Homo Sapiens, but I don't wish to wipe them out. That's not who I am."

"No, merely your father." Ronan smirks.

Hawkeye rolls his eyes. "And...here...we...go."

[dakota]

At first Tabitha started to pull away, but then had second thoughts and allowed Daredevil to comfort her. It was strange to her that he was so concerned, since they hardly knew each other. She looked and saw Tally still in the machine as she spoke lowly, "Thank you. I think we need to get Aura out of that machine. The only way we're going to diffuse this whole racket is to let her decide."

Spider-Man looks for the disengage button and goes over to help Tally out of the Omega Siphon. He then climbs on top of it and starts to tear it apart.

Tally still in the machine starts to search the city for things of interest and of note to the best of her ability. She even starts to scan for if there is any way she can take care of the one other thing she really does not like about herself and that is her lack of education, seems everyone in the group has more knowledge then her limited genetic education allowed for. She knows that whe is probably out of luck, but she does hope.

Spider-Man releases Tally.

Maximus laughs. "Oh, I'm sure you can, you know all about hurt, don't you? Isn't that the best punchline? The man who can heal any wound...except" He exagerates a frown. "...the ones in his heart!" He shakes back and forth. "oh, the drama, the tragedy! The Angst!"

Quicksilver and ronan are about to come to blows when a bolt of lightning separates them.

"Enough!" Crystal cries out.

Medusa looks at her sister. "And what would you have us do?"

"Listen to the girl. See what she has to say." Crystal demands.

Quicksilver nods to his ex-wife.

Hawkeye looks at Tabitha. "I think we just got out of a fight here."

[dakota]

Tabitha looked at Hawkeye and shook her head slightly," Don't hold your breath yet, they're still here."

[Dome]

DD says, "I suppose we leave it to the girl to decide. Hopefully both sides can agree to abide by her decision."

Tally unaware of most of the discussions outside the chamber sees her moment for freedom and jumps out. Realizing that was the most fun she has had....ever in her entire life. As such she floats over to Tabitha with a beaming smile on her face and turns to her. After a moment noticing that eyes are on her, she whispers to Tabitha, "Why is everyone looking at me?"

Spider-Man waits on the top of the Omega Siphon to see what, if anything will go down. "You'd think that saving New York City would be enough, but no...people got a lot of nerve..."

Medusa speaks to Tally. "You have a choice." She grits. "Whether you are to return to your people, to serve them in a great calling-"

"-possibly as a lab rat." Hawkeye adds in.

"Keep speaking, Terran, and the next sound will be your screams." Ronan slaps his armored hand with his hammer.

Medusa continues. "-or stay with this...rabble, and be exiled, never to have a true home. Be like this one." She points at Pietro. "Despised, cast out - shorn of his family and daughter, for all time."

Pietro is unbowed. "My daughter will remember me for who I am. That is enough.'

Medusa sneers. "Your daughter will be the only evidence of your existence - your name is cast out of history - to be forgetten forever."

"Black Bolt would be ashamed of you, I think."

A tentacle of hair whiplashes toward Pietro, but he grabs it out of the air. "A queen should have better control." He smiles.

Medusa turns back to Tally. "The choice is yours."

Tally looks at everything confused, part of her almost wants to return to her people, and this set of choices is better then the one she had before. She does not want to leave her friends though ultimately and those staring at her can see the decision is tough even sprouting tears. "I don't want to be exiled, but I do not want to leave my friends either. Is there some form of middle ground we can come too. Like can I go with you for a little while and then come back. Get what you need there by saving the Kree and fulfilling your promise, but letting me have the life I nee...want. I would be more then willing if need be to go with you for a little while or however long, but be able to fulfill the promise I made to my friend." She hopes that which she has offered is acceptable to them.

Snorts. "Bub, did anyone tell you, you talk too much just like Webhead over there? But at least Webhead's material is original."
