Jason sat up long enough to grab Alice, then use his falling momentum to pull her onto the bed with a chuckle. " Relax, okay? We're on the other side of the ocean. There's nothing we can do right now, and I can't travel like this. We can go when you're ready." He pulled her in for a kiss.

Alice chuckles in surprise as Jason grabs her and pulls her onto the bed. Kissing Jason, she leans her head on his shoulder and says "Yeah, I know. It just feels like I should be doing something more." Looking at Jason, she adds, "You need to get some sleep first no matter what happens."

Alice nods, still looking a bit uncertain. "Well, ok." she says. "Grams can call if something happens." Hugging Jason, she says, "I'll see you in a little while." Taking Jason's phone with her, Alice heads to her parent's house and heads inside looking to see who is around.

Alice found her father fiddling with the air conditioner when she walked in, and had noticed the car wasn't in the driveway when she'd come in. Dad didn't look up from behind the unit and Alice her something bounce on the floor followed by a bit of sputtering, as her father was demonstrating his will to fix things without the know how really needed. Without looking up, he mistakingly asked," Did the hardware store have the right thermostat, hon? This one is definitely bolluxed."

" I didn't break it." Dad said defensively. " The bloody switch is worn out and your mother won't let me buy a new one. Where's your hubby?" He smirked, wiping his hands on a rag.
Jason's phone chirped a new message.

Alice chuckles as she replies, "He's sleeping. Still tired from that brawl you got him into last night." When Jason's phone chirps, she sits down on a nearby chair and reads the message from Isamu. Alice then puts the phone back in her pocket and says, joking "What's the plan for today, other than breaking the a/c even more?"

Alice smirks at her dad and jokes, "You sure you're not skipping steps like when you tried to fix the furnace?" Alice replies to Isamu's text as she talks, typing Hi Isamu, glad to hear things are under control. If you need Jason and I to come home, let us know. Alice.
Alice nods and says, "I was hoping to sightsee with Jason a bit, but we could have dinner and then he and I could go out for a bit."

Dad scowled," If the switch doesn't fix it, I'll call a repair man. Cripes, you sound like your grandmother. You kids and those bloody text phones. Doesn't anyone talk on the phone anymore?" He shook his head as he got to his feet. " Whichever you prefer, my dear. We can do an early supper, or go out late for a bite after your sightseeing. Just let me and your mum know."
