Alice looks startled at how much time has gone by and asks her grandmother, "Did it work?" Seeing how tired both her grandmother and Jason are, Alice says softly to Jason, "Let's get you upstairs so you can rest." Alice will then help Jason upstairs to their room so he can lie down. If he wants, she'll stay with him as he rests, given her grandmother is resting as well.

"Have to wait until he tries to sleep." Grandmother replied before disappearing to her room.
Jason doesn't argue," I felt better when Rags thumped me." He muttered as they entered the bedroom, and he flopped on the bed. On the dresser, his cell phone was flashing a missed message.

Seeing the flashing of Jason's cell phone, Alice says to Jason, "There's a message on your phone. I can check it if you want."

"Go ahead." He groaned, still lying face down on the bed. His tone lightened," You could take advantage of me for all I care."
As she checked, Alice found it was a text from Ashley.
big trouble. someone torched your cabin. Alison dead, Trev blamed and cops hunting him. text me back Ash

Alice gasps lightly in shock as she sighs. 'Poor Trevor!' Alice realizes that she and Alison hadn't gotten along well when Alice had first discovered that she and Trevor were dating, but had gotten along well after getting to know each other. Alison had even been helping her understand her psionic powers a little better. Without thinking, Alice sends Ashley a text back saying, Do you need us to come home? - Alice

Jason rolled over and forced himself to sit up. " What kind of trouble? Is everyone okay?" It was clear that Jason was exhausted by the look on his face, but he was no longer giving in to it as he was trying to get himself back up. " What did it say?"

Alice hesitates before answering, "The message was from Ashley. Your cabin was burned down and Alison was killed. Trevor has been framed for her death." Alice pauses before continuing, "I asked her if we need to head home now but she hasn't responded yet."

Jason groaned as he fell backwards, his strength unable to keep him up. "Should have known something would happen while we were out of town. What do you want to do?"

Alice admits, "I asked Ashley if we need to head back early. She hasn't answered yet." Alice pauses before continuing, "That'll probably end up being what we do is head back earlier than we planned and try to help Trevor."

Alice looks surprised at Jason's apologizing and takes his hand. "It's all right. I'd want to be there to help clear Trevor if we need to."

Jason lifted his head slightly," This was supposed to be to get away from work, and so your folks could get to know me. One afternoon doesn't cut it. We still have a couple days, so if Is doesn't need us to come home right away, I'm sure that the others can handle it. Ashley won't let anything happen to Trevor."

Alice smiles weakly and nods, "Yeah, you're right. I guess I'm getting more used to being in charge than I realized. Part of me feels like I have to be there." Alice shrugs as she waits for Ashley to answer the text she'd sent.
