Sam simply nods at Shep's order for the cats to stay near her. While she didn't believe that the barbarians meant her any harm, it was a good idea to stay cautious, just in case. Turning back to the leader, Sam says "We will meet you at your village shortly."
Since the boat is working again, Sam tells everyone "OK, folks, let's get moving."

"Six? We gotta hoof it. But I've got your six, ummm Six..."
Janxi fell in behind Samantha, in full aggressive mode. She racked a grenade into her rifle and watched Tori and Autumn ride off with the casualties.
"No offense six, but we gotta march at double time. This place smells like a slaughter house."
She took a moment to preen her fur. "Just follow me." At that, she blazed the trail to "Her Majesty's" camp. Her main goal was to hook up with her partner in crime.

Socrates hadn't been interested in doing a lot of work for the slaver weapons, prefering to scatter-damage as much as render useless. For good measure, after Janxi had wired the det cord, he put the grenades back in.
"If they find a close pile of neatly-damaged weapons, they can repair them." He explained. "We want them to work for their spare parts." He grinned, explaining quietly at the blast site. "Plus, we should make a show to the locals that we intend to keep them out of their hands. They may respect a professional job when they look, but they'll walk around a crater."
Otherwise, he lets the blast go as Janxi planned.
Socrates, in truth, said very little, anyways, so her silence to him was of no issue. While the dog boy may come off as boastful or arrogant, it was more that he was professionally detached - one has to be when ordered to kill the extended family members and otherwise innocent beings. Plus, the dog-boy exists in his mind, with a constant churning of ideas, questions, and attempts to find answers.
At a whisper, he says, "Your concerns at the cabin are not forgetten. There has not, yet, been a need to bring the concern to Sam. The division it would cause is not worth any gain in progress, at this time. Let Tori know, at your convenience." The calm voice betrayed the calm mind with which he approached the world.
After rejoining the group, he got the rest of his gear together. "Sam, we do not need the lizardmen gear, if the Marlins are interested." He said to Sam, again calm, as he moved to the forward position.

Janxi laughed a little, glad Socrates was treating her like a peer. "You should see what's left after just tape," she said after the bang. "With no action and power source, they're just warped pieces of pipe, but the bang of two grenades is fun."
With his whispered statement, she nodded thoughtfully. "Glad you was listenin' back there," she whispered back. "Do us all a favor and make a sniff. Lemmie know if anything is smellin' like lunch. You'd know bafore we would."
She remained close to Sam, and kept her eye out for dangers. She'd trained for months with Tori, and felt incomplete and vulnerable without her smaller partner to provide speed, precision and defense. The cats were a lion pride of two, and a family. But she trusted Socrates just a little more, and had Sam to look out for now.

Tori continued providing aid to the wounded at the camp. She treated the most severely wounded with the best chance of surviving first. To those that appeared terminal, she dosed with morphine, in hopes of making their exit a little easier. The lightest wounds received treatment last. She spent her time stopping bleeding, splinting broken bones.
To any welcome wagon from the camp, she said, "If y'all have some medical supplies, bring 'em now. Yer war party'll be back soon."
She began to feel a familiar feeling. Hunger. She looked over to Autumn. "Ya want some chow? I dunno 'bout you, but I feel like I skipped breakfast. I got somethin' I wanna ask you..."
BOOM!
The explosion wasn't exactly close, but was in the direction of the team.
"Lost Cat to Shepherd..." varying radio callsigns might keep an evesdropping enemy off their track. "We're hearing explosions in your neck of the woods. Everything five by five?"
Mainly, she hoped it wasn't an ambush. She looked at the boat nervously, wondering if they needed to sally out and help the squad. She knew Jan would be in the thick of it, but they fought as a team. An ambush would leave her partner off balance. Tori experienced a new and very human emotion. Guilt.

Richardson, apparently the only one on the boat, guides it around the corner the lady described and towards the village. He slows it to a glide as he approaches the village looking for a dock.

As she finished him, she looked around and triaged the remaining wounded. "Let's get the most seriously wounded on the boat. Santiago? You get a ticket to ride too." She knew many wouldn't make it, but maybe Autumn could help a few along the way or find better facilities back at the Marlins' village. If she took the dead back on the boat, they would at least be home sooner, and the Marlins could maybe avoid attack by scavengers along their short trip home. Maybe a few that were living but beyond hope could say goodbye to the ones they loved. The dead would be honored. She tried to get as many of the ambulatory on the boat as possible, then took her seat in the coxswain's seat. "Autumn, would you cast us off?" Once done, Tori proceeded to the village at a conservative pace so no nervous sentries would mistake the "Eve" for an assault. (Tori used the boat as an ambulance. I guess autumn rode with but if she wants to stay, that's cool. If you want to ride along, it might be good because we could have more engine trouble. Otherwise you could make the short walk back, I guess. T is at the Marlin camp, and heard Janxi and Socrates blow the confiscated weapons. She's continuing to provide first aid, but it seems most of that job is done.)

GM intervention: Before we go any further and cause more confusion, what is everyone doing? and note the boat won't carry everyone, and it is a short walk. I will post AFTER everyone replied to this

Socrates will walk with the group to the camp, in front of Sam and Shep - and between his team and the Marlins, if that's how it is arranged.

(Tori used the boat to transport the most seriously wounded, those with leg injuries and/or the dead and dying. This was done so the team and the Marlins would not attract predators on the short hike back. Also to give the dying a chance to say goodbye to loved ones, and get Autumn, if she decides to come, better facilities to treat the wounded rather than a swamp bottom. At the Marlin Camp, she is providing first aid to the wounded after performing triage. When she heard Janxi and Socrates with their demolition, she radioed Shep to make sure there was no ambush or a booby trap. Mostly, listening to her rumbly tumbly, missing her best friend, and waiting for the team.
For using the boat, she considered it a good way to win hearts and minds of indigenous people. Helping the marlins could win brownie points. If Sam or Shep is cross with her initiative, that's cool, but she calculated the risk might be worth the reward of securing new allies to offer some intelligence, fuel and supplies. Spec Warfare, especially in Vietnam worked with a lot of local tribes to fight Charlie by winning hearts and minds.)

(I assumed Richardson was on the boat since he was fixing it before the sh*t hit the fan, and then again afterward. if not he can walk.)

(Autumn and Tori should be on the boat to transport the wounded. NO ONE is staying behind, end of story. Sam will push them toward the village if she has to. Sam is walking with Janxi and Socrates toward the village)

Okay, now that things are straight...
Once the weapons exploded, Shep responded," nothing to worry about, little cat. Just scattering the unfriendlies' toys about the yard." He looked at Sam, and shrugged," Socrates has a point. The locals can probly put this gear to use, but I think a goodwill gesture of letting them scavenge what they want may be just as effective." He motioned to two of the Marlins setting up a better ambush point, but eyeing the lizardmen's weapons scattered about.
The rest of the Marlins started to head off, leaving no choice but for the team members on foot to follow. It took about twenty minutes at a brisk pace, but Sam, Socrates, Janxi and Shep arrived at the village just as they could hear the airboat coming down the tributary. Richardson hadn't been able to make much time with the wounded aboard, but several airboats beached on one shore told him where to stop.
To Janxi, Tori and moreso Socrates, the village reeked of magic, much like the last village, but with the other locals leading the way, their reception was much warmer as several small children raced to get a look at the squad while the adults tended to the wounded, unloading the airboat. The hunt leader turned to look at Sam, " There is place to clean in the hut with the big metal door, and while the council sees you, I'll see to food being prepared for you in thanks." She didn't wait and turned to head towards the largest of the buildings.
