(Bianca) "Oh you know, trot out some poster boy for civic duty. I don't see what the big deal is anyways. It's just some tradition, right?" She asks. Looking at the papers, she says, "These are way old. It'll take a while to obtain them."
(Coop) "I will be delivering the names of the military personel involved." Holia says. "Despite the firefight, there were few injuries. So lower-level service men or police officers may not need to be mentioned."
"That will include Guild personel." Tobrias says. "The simple matter is that two of the Guild personel were included in the raid. A father-daughter team of magic-users. The daughter was taken by the demon in combat and the father retaliated. The demon has been handled, so no there are no specific witnesses of how it ended. Except yourself and Eleutheroi and myself, of course. And you speak for the three of us. Does this satisfy you, Zachary?"
"I'm fine with it." Moltavious offers, sounding embarrassed, still.
"If you need to, say that I was involved in the destruction of the hotel." Eleutheroi says. "I arrived just after Sarah was taken, so it would be plausible."

Bianca continues to stand at the desk, waiting for the information with her body language and she says, "May I help you find the records?" She doesn't sound impatient, just helpful and cheerful.

The clerk looked at Bianca as if the young researcher had just asked her to wrap a small bow-tie around the inner moon. "No." She says calmly. "Even with the forms, that doesn't give you access to the actual database. Confidentiality and all that." She explains. "We will notify you through whatever means when the records are retrieved. It may be a few hours, so you could wait in the cafeteria or, if you have other errands, do those and come back."

Coop bristled a bit, but relaxed as Moltavious agreed. " Sure, I can live with it." He looked at Eleutheroi, and smirked," They'd probably believe it if we claim it's your fault, El."

Eleutheroi made a face at Cooper. "Defend the city selflessly, and this is what I get for it... a bad reputation." He says, grinning.
"Very well. We can schedule the conference for as soon as possible." Holia says. "Since it would reduce the amount of time the media might have to prepare."

" Don't act like you don't thrive on it." Coop scowled back at Eleutheroi before smirking. He became serious again as Holia spoke. He turned to Tobrias," Can we get the press conference arranged by whoever was in charge of the last one? It went off without any major problems, so we might as well stick with the same format. just have to give Colonel Holia an opportunity to speak on behalf of the military." He looked at Holia, " Provided that would be acceptable?"
in the back of his mind, a thought occured to Coop. whoa, I almost sound like I know what I'm talking about. Scary He tried to ignore a shiver that ran down his spine.

(B) Even as the clerk was giving the signals that Bianca is just going to have to wait, Bianca got the impression someone was watching her progress.
(C) "We can have a snap press conference at the police station by the afternoon." Says Tobrias. "That will ensure only the major outlets come. They will be more demanding than the smaller media, but they will not be as capable of getting into the fine details as the focus smaller press."

" Perfect." Coop nodded," That way we get this settled and stall the rumor mill before it gets churning too hard. That way we can move on to other business. I'd like to know who told the Cro that Sarah was a..., " he glanced at Moltavious," target of opportunity. Someone had to give it that information. Or would it have come from one of our generals?"

"Oh, no, I wouldn't want to look at the database." Bianca says seriously. "Surely that is best left to trained staff." She nods to emphasize how very much she cares about privacy.
"I was asking if there was anything that could be done to expedite the process. I know the records are old, still we never now how important a medical history can be to a descendant. Once the records are found they will still need to be analyzed, and I want to make sure we are doing everything possible for our client."
Bianca doesn't say that her client could have serious disease, but her tone of voice conveys her sense of urgency and importance as if she is talking about some grave medical problem. Bianca wonders briefly if people who do have a life threatening medical problem have to wait hours to get their ancestors medical history. Returning her mind to the present, she fixes the clerk with an earnest look and a smile to show that she is friendly, though her eyes glance around a bit as if searching for a solution or a supervisor to make a fuss to.

(Coop) "That assumes that the Generals knew who she was." Tobrias answered. "Keep in mind that you are the first Decree Slayer in generations who is known to exist on records. I would suspect that the Cro was... double dipping, I believe the term is."
Moltavious grunts. "The second paycheque didn't know much if he forgot her father was still a viable problem." Eleutheroi snickers at the comment, but stops at the glance from Moltavious.
(Bianca) "well." She says, clearly annoyed that Bianca's not getting some obscure hint. "The best way to let me get to work on this is to let me get to work on this. We will contact you when the information is retrieved." She says, firmly.
Also, FYI, the answer would be "no" to the wait, since the life-threatening patients would have a doctor or med-staff signature and a priority in the queue.

" Then someone from the guild had to have tipped it off." Coop said, a chill running down his spine at the prospect. " Which means we have a much bigger problem. But to me, going after Sarah makes sense. I mean look how Moltavious reacted. If we hadn't intervened when we did, his reputation could have been so damaged that it could have removed him from the equation, or worse, he might have done something that he had to be charged with. And that is a good as taking him out. I'd almost say whoever was pulling the strings had this whole thing planned." He shrugged with a smirk, " Or I just watch too much television."

"You forgot about a certain vampire infestion that Sarah had been helping remove for some time." Holia says to Coop's concerns. As the others look, he says, "What? You thought the military would fail to notice the movement of anti-vampire weapons, or the evidence of dead vampires? It is entirely possible that the Vampries helped the Cro, knowing you would intervene."
"If that's the case." Eleutheroi says, "Why didn't the Cro target me as well?"
"More imortantly." Says Moltavious. "What are they planning that they needed Sarah out of the way?"
Just as he finished asking, Coop's cell rang.

Coop was stumped. He hadn't thought about the vampires. He started to shrug, but his phone ringing saved him. He didn't slow long enough to look at the caller display before answering it, " Hello?"

(Coop) "Hey lover." Said a woman's voice he hadn't heard in a long while. "I hear your ladyfriend left you." She says sympathetically.
(Bianca) While Bianca waits patiently at the desk, a line has started to form. Her growly tummy reminds her there's a cafeteria up the hall, or candy machines nearby and some classy restaurants out on the street away from the hospital.

Bianca nods to the clerk, not remotely satisfied, but she wanders off in the direction of the cafeteria so she will be nearby in case things get done any earlier. She isn't used too file location taking so long, but then she has never worked in a hospital before.
She looks over the hospital food warily, checking to see if she actually wants to pay for it.
