Ch. 59 The Break In

"yeah, I'm pretty sure this guy was the one who broke into this place, and may have planted the bomb. Let's bring him in for questioning." He looks at Jason quizically. "Actually, can we do that? I'm a little unclear what our legal boundaries are. Do we have to read him his rights? Serve a warrant? Anything?"

Isamu realizes what the man is doing and attempts to make quicksand below the man hopefully breaking the man's fall without breaking the man completely.

Alice flinches at the BBQ explodes and instinctively covers her face. Realizing she wasn't going to get hit by debris, Alice tells Avi, "Please try to get here quickly. Kristian needs your help."

"Hey not so hard." avi squirmed against Deci's tightening grip. " There, put me down by Alice and that other woman, by that parked car. then think you can get rid of this? He motioned with the ice coated missile.


As Alice was looking up, she spotted Deci and Avi approaching, and he was carrying something coated in ice. It looked sort of like..., a rocket?


" Not his style." Jason shook his head. " Too professional for this twerp. I think our shooter is behind the break in and Gremlin here is just in the wrong place at the wrong time. We can, and will.." Jason smirked," Tom, we're working for the federal government. We don't need warrants, only just cause. Come on, let's go see if the girls need any help."


As Isamu plummeted towards the ground, his opponent suddenly was no longer expressionlless. Instead, as he saw what Isamu had done, he looked preturbed before being engulfed by the transformed sidewalk

[Dome]

Isamu this time transforms to stone and uses the falling technique to absorb his impact as he lands beside the quicksand pit. He waves his hand and raises a stone platform up out of the quicksand with the sniper on it. Once the man tries to stand Isamu will encase him in earth up to his waist.

Putting Avi down, "Easily, just point me to the person that should be receiving the missile and will happily oblige!"

She looks around to see if she can find the target on her own.

" I don't know, take it back to the guy that shot it at us." Avi said with a shrug before running and climbing into the car with Janie and Kristian. Their conversation was very hushed so no one else could hear it. Avi keyed his band-adio, " Tom, if your powers work on lead, get over here quick? If not, Alice I need your TK powers in here."

Isamu trapped the sniper with ease. The man just stared at Isamu, unable to do much else, but he did not struggle.

Alice nods and hurries over to where Avi and Kristian are as she asks "What can I do to help?"

[Dome]

Isamu looks at the man and tilts his head as if trying to figure the guy out. He taps his radio and says in his gravelly stone voice, "I have captured the man who was attempting to shoot us. He is immobile."

While waiting for a response he says to the man, "why would you try to shoot us? Actually that is not as important as to why you would try to kill yourself by jumping from the building. Please explain," he says in a commanding tone aided by the deep gravely voice of his stone form.

"sorry Avi, Lead's not a magnetic metal." Tom replies. "OK, what can I do though?"

Deci follows the instructions exactly taking the missile and doing a dive bomb run.

The missile doesn't explode as it slams into Deci's attacker, catching him in the middle of reloading and knocking him flat. Even lying on his back, the shooter was aggressive, going for a pistol inside his jacket.


"Then Alice will have to do it" Avi replied to Tom before turning to Alice. " I need to get the bullet out as fast as I can. The bullet... it'll take too long to explain what's going on, but this dark blood id a bad thing and I need it out of there before I can heal Janie up. Your powers are alot quicker than me and Kristian cutting her open."

Kristian added, " Just think about the pulling the bullet out. Janie is going to be fine, we'll see to it."

Avi didn't look as sure, but nodded .


The man Isamu had trapped showed no emotion. " Following orders." He then grabbed something from his pocket to put in his mouth.


Hearing Isamu's call, Jason immediately responded," Is, if these guys are who I think they are, incapacitate him. All of them or they'll try suicide to escape capture."

He looked at Tom as they headed back to the front of the house to see Beth standing watching the others in the car, her hands clasped over her mouth.


A transmission came over everyone's band-adios (see Band -adio traffic thread)

Deci seeing the missile did not explode is actually happy as she is worried it would have killed him but was acting on the adrenaline at hand. Seeing the guy reach into his Jacket she continues using her cold powers, this time aiming for the arm reaching in.

Alice is nervous, but takes a deep breath as she tries to do as Kristian instructed, hoping she wasn't doing something to make her friend's condition worse.

Sierra looks about the area and really hopes no one is looking out windows right now and drawing the wrong conclusions. ducks on instinct at the explosion with a muffled 'holysh....'

*she then stands up and moves slowly to where she last sensed the other Meta she was tracking. she really wishes that she understood people better, as she's tired of feeling oddman out. maybe it is true? Rubes and norm's don't mingle.

*she continues her search, moving across the street and approaching with more caution. she's also glad that while she can feel the ground, she won't be injured by anything on it.
