Ch. 59 The Break In

Deci decides that despite her misgivings she will stay. "Thank-you I will stay, I am not sure what good I will be but we can find out I guess over the next little while." She just continues to observe what the other two are doing.

As Alice entered the holding cells, one of the quartet ( the one that had spoken to sierra) looked at her, " You are not MacColter."

"No, I am." Came Mac's voice from the doorway. "It seems I have a fan club. The young ladies are in charge here, you can answer to them. I am only here to observe." anyone looking could see something was bothering Mac.

the foursome shifted their attention to Sierra, Alice and Deci, unclear which one was in charge.



Avi looked at Robert for a moment, then shrugged. " I guess someone had t take Kerry's room eventually. So you don't like how I keep the place, huh?" He started to walk, then smirked," Wait, what do you care, I bet you'll spend most of your time in the gym. someone did show you our gym, right?"

Deci knowing the other two ladies are far more apt at doing things like this decides to let on of them take the lead and continues to watch as the other females take the lead on the questioning.

Robert's eyes light up at the mention of a gym. "No...no they didn't. Care to lead the way?"

Taking a deep mental breath, Alice steps forward establishing herself as the leader. "Who are you?" she asks softly. "Who sent you?" As she asks, she attempts to scan their minds to gain any clues as to who they were.

[Dome]

Isamu nods at Alice before she leaves the room. He continues looking through the documents. He wonders, 'how are we to protect them if we do not know where they are?'

Si simply states 'left to right, 1 to 4 ... three's the one talking'

*she lets them stew over that bit of info for now. she focuses her attention on the one that she had caught and watches him quietly

Avi paused for a moment, then grinned at Robert's enthusiam. "Yeah, sure. Come on." He led the way from the house to the detached garage and opened the side door. There behind the parking area for two cars was possibly the best home gym setup Robert had seen. All of the equipment was custom built, oversized and heavily reinforced. " Be careful with the leg press, the plates are fifties" He motioned to universal machine, and a stack of sixty plates on the inside. In fact, everything went up to ridiculous amounts of weight.


As Sierra identified 3, he corrected," My name is Tau. These are Beta, Delta and Phi. Alpha sent us." His tone was in a manner as if he expected them to know the answers already. suddenly, Delta's head snapped back in suprised, like the shock of something had slapped him across the face. At that same moment, Sierra felt a suddenly spike of psychic power from MacColter, which quickly vanished and she could no longer sense him. Mac never reacted. All the quads looked at Delta.

"Well you don't need me here." Kristian said as he started to back out of the room.



"something wrong, Is?" Isamu heard Dmitri's voice behind him. He had a releived look on his face. "Janie told me to leave her the hell alone so she could sleep. Thanks to everyone, she's gonna be fine."

Robert looks around the gym with wide open, excited eyes. "Did you just say those are fifties?" Robert walks over to the machine and loads it up to its fullest and attempts some leg presses. If successful, he'll shout "This is perfect!" If not, he'll move on to a different machine and use his arms to lift.

[Dome]

Isamu looks up at Dimitri and offers him a smile, "that is welcome news. I am truly sorry she was attacked. We never anticipated someone would be waiting there, or go after her."

He looks back down at the papers, "I am just trying to sort through some paper work for the protection of someone's family who we do not know where they are. I am trying to ascertain how to protect someone we cannot locate."

"Well if he is not needed, I imagine I am not much use here either." And Deci starts to hover out and away from the rest of the group. Heading upstairs to the common area to see if anything of interest is going on up there.

[dakota]

Dmitri shrugged as he faced Isamu," Sometimes the best way to protect something is to not know where it is in the first place. It is no one's fault she was hurt, and I hold no one to blame."



Mac smirked slightly at Deci and Kristian's retreat. " I'll let you off the hook this time you two. But you both need to learn to do this at some point." He turned his attention back to Alice and Sierra's efforts


" Just don't hurt yourself, okay?" Avi warned with a smirk. " And put stuff back. Ryne is a bit of a neat freak."

Deci once out of the range does mumble to herself, "Yah I will learn that when pigs or some other animal like penguin learn to fly."

She continues once she is up to see what everyone else is doing and then decides against it and heads out to the beach area to enjoy the surf and whatever else may be out there.

'got a headache, Delta? didn't your mommy tell you it was rude to poke about without asking? but you're only tin soldiers. aren't you Tua? Copies of the real thing. that why you tried to kill yourselves after getting caught?'

*hopefully she'll be able to tell the slight difference if powers that they all have. right now? all she knows is they are "minders". some of the other team members would be "shifters", the rest are "others" or like herself "odd".

*she looked first at Delta then at Tau while she talked. with them all identified, she know looks at the one that attacked her with the knife.

Tom rubs his chin. "Isamu was saying something about connection between the Mayor and his nephew. Maybe we should go ask him."
