Wolverine, at the base of hte statue you see a black crystal orb lying on a pillow - you can feel it's evil pulling at the darkest, most animalistic parts of your psyche.
The dragon bellows at Tally and Songbird - "Gnats! Begone or suffer my wrath!"
Tabitha's shots barely dent the giant lizard's scales as Hawkeye has to barrel roll underneath a torrent of flame the creature spews out at Fing Fang Foom.
"Lining us up for another pass, maybe see if you can hit some vulnerable spots!" Hawkeye pulls at the controlls as you dive straight towards the creature's head.

Wolverine slices through the pearl, as it erupts in inky energy, escaping into the night sky. Mariko falls to the ground.
Tally and Songbird press their attack, but the dragon seems distracted, as Godzilla turns away from the battle and leaps into the ocean.
Fin Fang Foom lets out a sigh. "Well, that was uneventful. I suppose I'm finished here. If you gnats will quit annoying me, that is."
Songbird raises a skeptical eyebrow.

Black pearl sliced into pieces, several dozen pieces, returns to where he left Mariko, cynical nature making him hurry, but not incredibly so.

Wolverine. Mariko's breath is barely a whisper, but you can still hear her heart beat. Her eyes flutter open, and she gives a weak smile. "Hello again."
Elektra smiles. "We will meet again Matthew." She blows a kiss as she throws a smoke bomb to the ground.
Godzilla dissappears under the waves. Fin Fang Foom smirks, as he looks at the Quinjet and the Avengers. "Hmmm...I detect the stench of the Westerner Stark on your conveyance. I'm sure my old friend will be most displeased when I tell him that." He grins. "Go in peace. I and my allies have no quarrel with you."
The massive dragon flaps his wings and takes to the sky. "Today, that is." He flies off towards mainland China.
Songbird look to the Quinjet. "What just happened?"
Hawkeye responds on the comms. "I'm not sure, but I think we just stopped a war. For now." Hawkeye blinks. "Let's round up the others and put the pieces together another day."

He smiles, belying his natural gruffness and rough exterior, cradling Mariko in his arms. "All that, and hello again's the best you got?" Lifting her up carefully into his arms.

Mariko brings up her head and kisses Logan. Hawkeye shrugs. "I'll take my wins where I can get them. Let's gather our lost sheep and go home." A FEW HOURS LATER The remaining Avengers and friends land the Quinjet. Waiting for you in the Hangar is Janet Van Dyne, the Wasp  "I'm so glad you could all make it." She looks at the new team members. "And I'm just in time - you girls all need new costumes! Let me get out my materials-!" Hawkeye smiles. "Alright Jan, they're all yours." as he saunters off. "See you in the morning." |
