Richardson smiles at Sam and nods, "wouldn't be much of a soldier if I couldn't, or if I shot my CO."
Once inside Richardson, passes on a drink, but waits for some meat to be cooked. He stays by the door, with one eye on it. From time to time he glances around at the others. Trying not to spend to much time looking at the doctor lest someone should notice. He listens to the conversation but doesn't say anything. He is lost in thought on what they saw out there. Where he was from they often had to worry about creatures out in the darkness, coyotes, maybe a cougar, but never anything as big or as deadly as the dino's they took down. One false move, one hesitation and half the team would be dead already.

Janxi sighed and put her trophy claws away. "Next time, Victoria, we go for the trophy kill. I'm sick of you braggin' when you ain't got nothin' to brag about."
Still listening to her partner's thoughts, she heard her depression about the mission. "Don't forget we got guys that are clausterphobes and skeerd to fly. B.A. Barakas was uncool 500 years ago T." That was her mind's reply.
She took the sauce from her partner and hissed, shaking a bottle with 5 drops left. "You didn't leave me nothin'! And I think that's real rude!"

" Nuthin been out this way lately, specially since this storm hauled in." Abe replied, lifting his sleeve to reveal 'IDF' tattooed on his bicep, with the numbers '78-103' beneath it., " I know a thing er three about the games you kids are playin. Now, you want slavers, you gotta go further south. Some around the Cape, but them Sploogies and they don't keep anyone that fights back for slaves lately. food mebbe, but that's it.
Abe's hound had curled at Socrates' feet, but sniffed at Janxi's tail everytime it swished passed her.
Shepherd looked sidelong at Autumn as she joined him. " I guess this is where you tell me how screwed I really am? I thought it was just a headache when it started on the sub, but when it wouldn't pass and the painkillers did squat, I started to worry. Guessing something they patched up that mine did to me wasn't as fixed as they thought." He shrugged as if he had just accepted his fate, then wiped some of the blood crusted at the rim of his nose.

Janx used her tail to give the old hound a gentle but pointed "whap" on her snout.
"Bad dog! No! Go see Socrates! He's your species!" She squared up on Abe after a scowl at his hound when she sniffed her tail. "Ya mean Ishpeming? Fek, you're like CS now, so you can do better than say we outta go south! And you can give us a lot better intel. Please we're lost on our way!"
Then, she thrust out her chest, knowing primates kinda liked that...

Janxi purred softly...
"C'mon Abe, tell us whatcha know? Where can I find my friends?"[rand=194061693444826773669123598205263335541089330981943139819892855]

Socrates seemed at ease with the hound curling at his feet. A hound should know better, but they probably did smell something like Abe.
Socrates bit into the food and thought. There was something that seemed off. Abe was right about slavers. A CS Squad would be killed or subjigated or eaten. Not left to rot.
"Tell us about the sentient locals." He requests.

"You seen any large group of humans 'round here?" Tori agreed it would be unlikely the Splooges would keep humans on the continent. Better to move them off to Atlantis and keep them safe there. The next thought, wasn't a happy one, and Sam would not like it. All the more reason why she had no business on the mission.
"What about necra-mancers? You seen any of them or zombies and shit around?"
She reached down to pet the dog, not minding the pet one bit.

"Necromancers? Hell, them boys don't come down into the swamps either. They stay up closer to the Fed territory." He looked under the table," Now you be a good girl," and he toss a piece of meat to his dog. " Only humans in the swamp are barbarians, debatable if all of them is what you call sentient. Possible they got your boys, some of the tribes are known to take slaves. Gotta watch them though, theygot there own kinda magic that ain't like anything you seen before. They use dino parts to make weapons that have all sorts of crazy powers"
Shep responded with a grunt, but didn't move while Autumn did her job. after a few tedious moment, he flinched hard as her finger touched one of the incisions behind his ear and shot to his feet," Ouch! Dammit, what did you stab me with?" The incision had been swollen asnd red she had time to see before he reacted.

Socrate's eyes flashed at Shep's exclamation to Shep then to Autumn, looking to see if there was actually a weapon. Not seeing anything, he returned to Abe. "A different kind of necromancer, then." He concludes. "Good. Easy to sniff out."

Sam nodded as she listened to Abe. The mention of magic seemed to coincide with the info she'd received earlier. Perhaps that was who they were looking for.
Sam looks in Shep and Autumn's direction when Shep yells out and asks Autumn, "What is it? I'm guessing you found something?"

"For fox' sake," Tori hissed at Shep's caterwauling. He foolishly decided to join the mission when not in shape to do so, then carried on like a kitten at the vet's office when the doc tried to keep him from falling apart in the middle of a hostile swamp. "Do ya need a bullet to bite?" She still refused to make eye contact, but her tail began to swish back and forth faster, signifying frustration and anger. She loved her tail, but it was a great tool to read Tori's mind.
She returned to scratching the dog. She smelled like a swamp dog, for certain, but that seemed more pleasant to a cat than the gallons of perfume human females wore. "You're a good girl! Yes you are! And what's the good girl's name?" Somehow, sharing her food to bribe the hound made Tori consider the dog to be a part of her pack. Cats shared rarely, and usually it was for good reason and meant a bond formed. She liked the smelly mutt.
She listened to Abe talk and thought about his intel as she continued eating her dinosaur. "Tell us s'more about these weapons and their powers. Do these barbarians know much about technology, or would they be wowed with a show of force? How bigga groups d'they run in? How 'bout fortifications?"

"Tori shut your mouth!" Shep snapped, the pain dulling his usual calm. " You take a bouncing betty to the skull to save your CO and I might take that crap, but not now. So either stow it, or stand guard out in the rain, read me?" It was clear it was the first order Shep had given, but he clearly was serious.
Abe was silent for the moment, hushed by the tension suddenly built up.

Socrates sat and ate quietly, letting the tension slowly flow out of the space. Abe didn't have a large cabin, so it was going to hang there for a while, he figured. He was curious to see how Tori was going to adapt to this.

"Aye aye, sir. Falling out to guard." Tori said in a monotone. She had seen enough. Irresponsible behavior put the team at risk. Standing guard in the rain sounded a lot better than listening to an NCO whine. She didn't care why he was injured, she cared that he smelled like a wounded animal and had every dino in the swamp sniffing after the team. Playing through the pain was admirable in some cases, but not when it put everyone else at risk.
"'Scuse me Abe. I sure have appreciated your hospitality. You're always a-o-k to me. I hope one day me and you can do a little fishin' round here. Maybe we'll have a lil bass tournament. Yer dog's of finest kind, too, and it's sure is a pleasure to have met ya both. Fer now, I gotta guard the door." Tori shook the man's hand and gave the dog one last scratch.
She replaced her boonie with her helmet once again and switched on the thermals. Cradling her rifle in a port-arms position, she made her way to the door, and out, fading into the undergrowth. Last seen, her tail slashed back and forth like a true tabby in a bad mood.

"If I did not know better I would say you have an infection of some sort." She sighs lowly and lowers her voice to a whisper. "Hmmm, guess we are going to have to do what I normally not like to reveal, not for fear or anything, but because it may draw undue attention. But I digress, sit back and we will try."
As such the young doctor sits down beside the patient and closes her eyes releasing her seldomly used psychic powers. "Hopefully we have some time as I am going to need to meditate between this. But before I do this I will need probably at least 8 hours, although I can do what I need to in a pince I am going to recommend you do not go anywhere till we finish this. So if you want to tell the Captain that as she is more likely to listen to you for this."
Autumn proposes to first use
Psychic Diagnosis - 4 ISP Psychic Surgery - 14 ISP
Before needing to meditate for 3 hours
Meditation - 0 ISP
And then use these
Psychic Purification - 8 ISP Increased Healing - 10 ISP
And prolly collapsing from exhaustion after. But hey, at least she did not need to "open" him up.
