Sarah nods "That is a very good idea. Maybe you could sign up for a martial arts class here at the school. I could show you a few things, I'm sure." Sarah finds she has a big grin on her face, despite the topic as she teases "And you say I'm the brains of the team. That never occurred to me." Sarah gives Coop's hand a squeeze before asking, "What did you want to do now?"

Beginning to unwind a bit, Coop shrugged. " You had bigger things to worry about, like some paparazzi jumping out of a hedge or vampires sneaking up behind us." He smirked," I can help with the little stuff like that." As they walked, he shrugged again." I dunno, but I gotta do something to burn off some energy. I haven't been this wound up in while. what do you want to do?"

In the news today…
"Golthreia was stunned awake this morning by incredible news. Jerry Levis, often considered a rogue reporter in the city, has captured photos of who he believes is the real Decree Slayer." Says a woman at the news desk. "We’ll go to footage, now."
The screen shows Coop and Sarah walking, then Coop getting on one knee. "Here, we see one Zachary Cooper, getting on one knee, and proposing to his girlfriend. A Miss… Lockhart, we believe." Says the voice of the man from the Arborium. "Mr. Cooper, the last free member of his family, is who I believe to be the Decree Slayer."
"I notice you have no voice." Says the Newswoman, as the camera once again shows her Eflin form. "How can you be certain? The Decree Slayers are almost untrackable, and have not been seen in the public eye for 4 generations."
"I have rumours from within the impenetrable wall of the guild." Jerry explains. "A man, who refused to identify himself, boldly asking that, and I quote, 'Why else would anyone as sanctimonious as Tobrias' that’s the Guildmaster, 'want to preserve the freedom of someone from that family? Only for the Slayer would he pull such strings.' I have to say, I wonder why Mr. Cooper would risk the life of such a frail young thing as Miss Lockhart."
"Well, there we have it. The Decree Slayer is finally unmasked. And sorry, ladies, but he’s taken." Says the Newswoman. "Now, to other news…" And Tobrias turns off the TV.
"I think that went well." He says, looking a little disappointedly at the couple. "I had hoped, however, it would not have happened at all. You both owe Moltavious your privacy, and you can both rest assured he knows it." He says. "Now, try and get to and from the Zeke trading post without getting filmed? Please?"

Sarah pales a little as she watches the tv. She wasn't very happy with the news reporter filming that. She raises an eyebrow as they seem to assume that Coop is the slayer, though it does seem logical. She smirks at the mention of the 'frail' Miss Lockhart, and shakes her head and sighs.
Glancing over at Tobrias, she snaps "Do you think I'm happy that one of my most private moments was aired on TV like a reality tv show? I owe my father my privacy? How about being able to spend a quiet moment in the park without being filmed? It's not like we set that up on purpose, you know!" Sighing, she glances over at Coop and suggests "Maybe we should split up now that you've been 'outed' as the Slayer." Sarah smirks as she adds "Wouldn't want you to be slowed down by the frail looking Miss Lockhart, after all."

Tobrias sits on one of the chairs. "The good news is, you have been known to the vampires and some of the demons for a while, so all you have to deal with are the normal population - usually, though, the population are the ones who think they have a right to ruin your privacy. Demons simply think of you as a challenge and will back off when you prove too strong. And it was your father that was Levis's source, though I disapprove of being called sanctimonious. Coop, you will need a body guard, perhaps Eleutheroi, unless you prefer one of the Guild security (those armoured troops that are the closest you can get to a private army without actually using the words "private army")."

" I need a bodyguard? I'm supposed to be the bodyguard." Coop retorted, obviously annoyed. " What do we have to be thankful for? This is just another chance for the Guild to meddle with my life and use it to their advantage." He was about to continue his tirade when Sarah made her suggestion, the words 'split up' hitting him like an icy dagger to the stomach and rendering him speechless for a moment.
Swallowing hard, he couldn't beleive what he'd just heard. " Just like that, you want rid of me?" He paused again before shaking his head with a choked up grin, " I guess I should have seen this coming, I mean the guild comes first right? Fine, if this is what you want, El can play babysitter and take me home so I can pack up my things. I'll move out to Gramps farm and start over. The reporters will be to busy chasing me to bother while you hunt down your old ones cult." He did his best to hold his composure as he waited for an answer.

"Regardless of your relationship to Sarah, Mr. Cooper, your need for a body guard is for your own protection. Eventually, Levis will follow your family tree like he did with Eleutheroi, and he will be dismissed. It is a short-term distraction. If, however, you would like to take a more public role, I do have a speaking opportunity." he says, professionally. "You would be compensated. It is on behalf of the city, not the Guild, and will draw on your own experiences as a means to reduce problems like the ones we face."
Eleutheroi speaks up from the door where he'ld been leaning for some time. "He means he wants you to be a poster boy for the city's new anti-witching campaign. Not a bad gig. Lots of cameras, keeps you where people can see you, and your recent... popularity will help. Rozatonosky suggested it."

Sarah stares at Coop with a confused look for a second before replying "What!?!" Realizing how he had interpreted what she had said, she shakes her head and adds "No! That's not what I was saying! I'm not breaking up with you! I just meant maybe we should take separate ways to get to Zeke's. That's all!" Sarah moves closer to Coop as she tries to reassure him with a smile as she hugs him, "I didn't just say yes, to take it back 5 minutes later."

A wash of releif flooded over Coop, causing him to blush as he put his arms around Sarah tightly." Sorry, had a jock moment there I guess" he grinned. He still wanted to break ties, but knew this would help. He as he looked down at Sarah in his arms. " Fine, I'll do it, as long as I get some help."

Tobrias nods. "I will make the call to Rozatonosky. We will also get you someone to help in your publication. In the meanwhile, the three of you can take separate or similar cars. And Sarah, remember, you are the frail... no, delicate young love of the Decree Slayer. I know it will be a difficult cover for you, but at least keep it in mind. Good luck."

Coop looked at Eleutheroi. " Guess we're stuck with one another for a while." He wasn't happy about the whole situation, but was determined to make the best of it. He looked down at Sarah with a smirk, " We'll let the frail one decide."

Sarah smiles up at Coop and leans up to give him a kiss before replying "We should probably take separate cars and meet up at Zeke's." A smirk appears "Maybe I should start making up stories about what it's like to date the Slayer." She winks at Coop playfully.

" and don't deny you'd enjoy it." He looked back to Sarah. " We'll meet you at Zeke's then." He glanced at Tobrias as he added," Maybe someone from the Guild can give you a lift? I'm not too keen on you going alone, especially if these cultists know we're on to them."

"I wouldn't enjoy it." Eleutheroi says, innocently, almost ina sing-song voice. "They have cameras and all whiney about freedoms and rights they think they deserve. Takes all the fun out of it."
Tobrias nods at the bunch of them and ushers them off. "Mr. Cooper, the cultists will think you are after them. Sarah is quite safe on her own. Also, you had better hurry out. There are suspcisions of an impromptu press coference in your honour at the level 3 entrance to the tower."
