It's day two of the long-haul to Mars.
So far, the ship had a very nice dinner (and breakfast, and other formal meals) thanks to the European chefs. Tawfeek is a genius - or so his palette has told him - for bringing them along. It being a small ship, though, means everyone now knows about Mr. Johnson, though no details. McKenna, we'll say, has only said that he was hurt, since Tawfeek has wanted it kept quiet until Jessica has some firm answers.
Players: Foreman and Tawfeek have been taking 12-hour shifts at the helm pushing the ship to get to Mars sooner. Current timing has put them 30 hours ahead (they will arrive, now on very late Day 4 instead of Day 6). Tawfeek is at the helm, with Foreman on rest.
Xavier and Mensk will have been doing the same with the engines, 12-hour shifts either in one of the nacelles, or on the bridge at Mensk's station. [dice=2] Xavier is on shift, Mensk is on break.
Jessica's confirmed there are boot prints but doesn't know whose, yet. Otherwise, the clues are somewhat misleading: Mr. Johnson got bashed up pretty bad and, instead of heading for the second level (and the crowded galley), was going for the third floor exit.
McKenna has been keeping care of Mr. Johnson. His condition is now fully stable, but he is still in a coma, and still needs proper hospital care. For some reason, Tawfeek has already shouted down ideas of dropping him off on the way. He won't say why.
Mrs. Johnson is helping Mckenna however she can, including food, or limited medical help, or just watching her husband.
The Van Donnigans are working in the Galley
Mr. Smith hasn't left his quarters, and the Jolies are keeping very close eyes on each other.
Edit: I almost forgot about Alistair Simm. He's still locked in his quarters. Though, he did get his change of clothes and a shower.
Now... Action![rand=721632162314104909671465563241521126218426665778936815569279285845]

Foreman tosses and turns in his bed. The tension on board has been high since the unknown incident happened. He climbs out of bed and heads to the galley looking for something to drink that might help him get some rest before his next shift.

Feeling a bit frustrated at not really finding much that could help her solve this investigation, Jessica attempts to find McKenna. If she finds her, and she doesn't appear to be busy, Jessica asks politely, "I was hoping you would have some time to help me with this investigation. I seem to be hitting mostly dead ends and thought discussing the case with someone else might help me see something I wouldn't on my own."

" Sure, if I can." McKenna replied, looking up from the paperwork she was logging. " Our patient is resting comfortably, and his wife know how to page me on the intercomm if need be. Where do we start?"

Foreman begins going through the galley cabinets not looking for anything in particular just looking since he is restless. After a while he makes himself some tea and sits at a table staring out the view port watching the stars fly by.

(In the galley) Wiping down the counter in the Galley, Hans Von Donnigan looks over. "Rough day, huh?" He asks Foreman.
----- (Xavier) On the bridge, despite the urgency of the trip, Tawfeek wasn't on the helm. Though he was keeping an eye on it. Instead, he was at the holotable in the rear of the brige figuring out how the path was going. The way he was going at the map, it looked almost like a sailor of the 15th century at a map. A ruler, pen and compass and it would have been complete.
Otherwise, what's Xavier up to?
----
Mensk, whatcha doin?
----
Jessica and McKenna, keep it up.

"Just stressed I guess. The silence around here doesn't feel right. Tension is too high. 12 hours of staring at controls and screens wears on the eyes you know. This leisurely flight to Mars now feels like a marathon we need to be the first to finish."

Xavier walks right up to the station staying out of the way and studying what he is doing out of pure curiosity. Intrigued and not one for knowledge on navigations. "I am sorry if I am interrupting but is that not what computers are for?"

"Work is like that." Hans answered. "On such a small ship, too, it makes it hard."
----------------
Tawfeek, without looking up, said, "Computers tell you what's out there. They can't always tell you the best way around it."

McKenna looked at Jess," Be right back."
She walked over by her patient to check his monitors, then placed a hand on Mrs. Johnson shoulder," Right now all he needs is to know you are here for him. I'm going out to stretch my legs a bit. If you need me, use the ship's intercom. Just press the red button and start talking. That will broadcast shipwide, so I'll hear you. Try to get some rest."
She smiled, then turned and walked over to Jess,"Allright, let's see if I can help."

Jessica looks thoughtful as she replies to McKenna, "I'm wondering if there is a way we can examine Mr. Johnson's wounds to try to determine, for instance, the approximate height of the person who attacked him."
After a moment, Jessica's eyes widen as something occurs to her. "Of course!" she exclaims with a derisive smirk directed at herself, "Why didn't I think of it sooner? The security feeds! We might have some video footage of whoever attacked Mr. Johnson." Jessica almost beams at McKenna as she gets up. "Want to join me? I could use a second pair of eyes to watch the feed in case I miss something."

" sure, I love watching video of empty hallways until someone walks by!" McKenna said with a straight face, which broke into a smile and chuckle. " Just kidding. I'll help, as long as you're supplying the coffee. ."

Jessica smirks at McKenna's remark and nods. "Deal." she replies. "I'll get some coffee and we can start reviewing the material."

Xavier responds "I guess that makes sense, in a round about way." Still confused why they did not use the navigation computer.
