6.3 Interplanetary space en route to Mars, Day 2

[Dome]

Foreman watches the steam rise from his cup, "yeah small ships make things interesting. Why did you decide on Mars?"

[dakota]

McKenna nodded, following along. " So have you found anything at all? I mean your list of suspects can't be that long. Wait, I never really thought about what caused his injuries, let me grab my notes and I'll catch up with you. Where do you want to review the video?"

[Renekin Skywalker]

Jessica's options include:
Her quarters, McKenna's quarters, the bridge, or the massive wide-screen TV in the Captain's quarters.

"No German restaurant on Mars, and a lot of rich patrons who are paid well to locate there." Hans said. "Simple math."

[Mierin]

Jessica looks thoughtful as she replies "We have a couple of options. We could review the footage in my quarters, your quarters, the bridge." Jessica ticks off the options on her fingers and then grins "or on the massive wide screen TV in the captain's quarters."

Jessica shakes her head as she admits "I don't have a lot to go on right now. What puzzles me is that when Mr. Johnson was attacked he didn't try to head to the galley where there were a lot of people, he tried to get to the third floor exit instead. I haven't been able to determine why."

[dakota]

McKenna shrugs," Whereever is closest. What's so special up on the third deck?Sorry, security is your thing, not mine, but there must be something important to him. He's not the space marshall the captain mentioned, is he? He might have stashed his gear somewheres on that deck. He couldn't exactly strut around with his sidearm afterall."

[Dome]

"Ah yes that makes sense then," Foreman says before taking a sip. He stares out at the stars as they pass by. He never got tired of staring at the stars.

Being on the 12 hour shift he lost track of the time of day, he had no idea if people were supposed to be sleeping or busy. He wondered about the doctor, but knew she had more important things on her mind than him.

[Mierin]

Jessica grins mischievously as she says "Big screen tv it is! Might as well take advantage of having it and not let the captain hog it all to himself."

Jessica shrugs at McKenna. "That's what I've been trying to figure out. There's not much on the third floor. There's the Captain's quarters, my quarters and my weapons room."

Jessica frowns as she continues. "Do you think maybe he was trying to get to the weapons room? He wouldn't have been able to get into the room as the captain and myself are the only ones who have access to it." Another thought crosses her mind and she adds, a smile emerging as she speaks. "Maybe I should try to look him up in the cortex to see if I can find more information about him."

[dakota]

" sounds like a good idea. " McKenna agreed. " Jess, why would he want to get into your workshop if he was hurt? That doesn't make any sense, unless you've got some sort of toys in there that would be worth the pain." She asked curiously.

Once they got near Tawfeek's quarters, McKenna snickered," i bet this will be the first time the Captain has ever had two good looking women in his quarters, let alone to borrow his television."

[Renekin Skywalker]

Jessica manags to get into the Captain's living room... yes! Living room! A visual inspection shows the whole of the senior quarters on the port side are just the captain's quarters on the starboard side. The living room is rather sparse, though some business papers litter a desk in one corner. The large screen dominates the view. It quickly became apparant, given the quality of the screen, why the captain wanted this ship.

The captain's bed was in an adjacent room, but the door was closed.

Hans nodded, looking out. "Sometimes I wonder how people can just do it for the money. I think maybe we wanted some adventure of the unknown, too."

[dakota]

" Wow." McKenna said with a whistle, looking at the TV. " That thing is incredible. Too bad he hides it here instead of in the dining room."

[Mierin]

Jessica grins at McKenna's 'two attractive comment' and raises an eyebrow at her mischievously as they enter the Captain's quarters. Nodding, she says to McKenna with a smirk, "The Captain loves his toys." In regards to her question about what Jess has in her workshop, Jess only grins and nods, "I do, however I see your point. Perhaps taking a closer look at the third floor would reveal something."

Sitting down, Jessica tunes into the security feed and starts reviewing it in the hopes of getting to the point to just before Mr. Johnson was attacked on the stairwell.

[Renekin Skywalker]

On the bridge, Tawfeek looked over and saw a light flashing on his readout, and he left the bridge for a moment.

"I do love my toys, two beautiful ladies." Tawfeek says. "And, if you get tired of these, I have some others and a spare video camera in the closet, there."

Stepping into his room, he says, "What are you two after?"

[Mierin]

Jessica raises an eyebrow at Tawfeek's comment about the toys and video camera and then turns and grins mischievously at McKenna as if to ask "Wanna?"

Chuckling, she explains "We're here to review the security feed to see if we can catch a glimpse of whoever it was that attacked Mr. Johnson. I was also hoping to look up Mr. Johnson to see if we could get any info about him that might help. I also have to ask, Captain, was he the Marshall?" Another question occurs to her and she asks "And do you have any thoughts on what Mr. Johnson might have wanted on the third deck? All that is up here are your quarters, my quarters and my weapons room which, as you know, is only accessible by you and me."

[dakota]

McKenna blushed at Jessica's grin. She replied with a shrug as if to say 'why not'. She turned to the captain. " Jess thought I might catch something she didn't. Hope that's okay?"

[Renekin Skywalker]

"It's fine." Tawfeek said. "Just don't get into trouble."

"I don't know why he was there. This is the real world, not some science-fiction story where people have psychic powers." He adds. He left without answering her first question.
