Taking advantage of the distraction, Cap makes a strong right cross, while stepping forward so his shield is blocking Rachel from going for a kill shot.

Paladin was too distracted by Diamondback's attack to see the punch coming, and he spun around to land on his hands and knees.
" Get out of the way, Captain. I'm to finish this before he caused our family anymore grief." Rachel said, trying to brush past Cap's shield.
Paladin began to laugh as he rolled to a sitting position. He had found his pistol, and was aiming it at Bucky, twitching on the floor. " You know two or three more zaps and his brain's scrambled for good."

Paladin never had a chance to block before Cap struck, and the blow knocked him sideways , landing at an odd angle from the pain of Bucky's grip and crying out.
Rachel stepped up beside Cap, one of her trademark weapons in each hand. " Steve, you should go in the next room."

Rachel nodded, putting her weapons away and went to Bucky's side. With the vise-like grip in place, James allowed his mechanical arm to detach as he sat up with his wife's help. As they shared a tender moment, Paladin struggled to reply," What things are always about. Money. Alot of it to do in an old man that was supposed to be here."

"Who hired you? And who's your target. I need a name...or this couple is going to have some words with you." He takes a brief glance at Bucky and Rachel to make sure they're ok, while giving a silent nod to Bucky to ask him to make sure Paladin doesn't have any other surprises on him.
