Ch. 56 Track Down (all)

[Dome]

Isamu reaches up and kisses her cheeks where the tears stream down her face. "I love you Ashley Yu. I hope for your sake that you are wrong about them. I will be here for you forever Ashley. That is all I want."

He kisses her on the lips and edging her slowly towards the bed. Ending the kiss he gets a slight smile she has seen before. Raising an eyebrow he asks, "how recovered are you?"

Tom turns on his bandadio as he races inside in metal form.

[Mierin]

Alice looks thoughtful at Jason's suggestion with a smirk. "That sounds fine to me. So long as he doesn't mind if I smack him." Smiling, she says "I guess I should tell the others that we're going."

[dakota]

Kristian laid back, looking up at the stars starting to appear. " Hmmm, letting a stranger with inside info on one of our biggest enimies into the house in exchange for something you've already done on your own initiative. Sounds like a bargain to me."



Ashley was a little taken by suprise, but grinned immensely. "I think I feel a second wind coming on." She answered, letting Isamu guide her.


As Tom barged in, he found Beth standing in the doorway to the next room. She was clearly upset as she was holding herself , standing in the middle of a mess. The room looked like it had thrown up on itself, as did the other rooms Tom could see. she looked at him, trembling," What is going on? first I get abducted, and now someone trashes everythiing I own. Why is this happening to me?"


" "You'll be safe there. He won't hit hso" Jason replied, becoming serious," besides, he'll be afraid what I'm gonna do to him if he tries anything." He grinned. " And if he does, I'm pretty sure you'll handle things . " He leaned in for a kiss before taking Alice's hand to head back towards the others.

Tom walks towards her. "I don't know...but we'll find out. Are you hurt?"

'well .. said taht way, it's gonna be hard for them to say 'no you can't' ... but still, it does have me a little worried. maybe i was too simple minded and accepted the sob story just cause they figured that out about me. i've what .. been seen by him once with Ryne .. and then at Cityhall.

'well, i'm gonna take it at face value. then if it goes to hades in a handbasket, then its only me that takes the blame for it. i know the child and mom are safe. they'll stay on the move until i can arrange for them to meet up again. then the only ones that know where they go are them.

'oh look, that ones winking .. ' *points up at the stars showing in the sky above .. then kinda forgets why when she looks at Kristian with a smile

Alice return the kiss and takes Jason's hand as they go to look for Isamu. However, when they can't find them, Alice goes to find Janie to tell her instead, figuring as her best friend, she deserved to know what was going on.

[dakota]

Janie wasn't in the war room. Instead, Dmitri sat at her terminal, his feet up on the desk and playing a gameboy. He looked up at Alice and Jason. " Oh, hiya. Jane drove Tom to take his reporter friend home."

At the same time, Janie's voice came over the band-adio channel," anyone there? Might have a problem here Beth's place. Tom is gone to check things out."

Dmitri looked up at Alice as he answered," Got that Jane. You stay put and let Tom handle things. Alice and Jason are here and heard you."

" Janie replied," I'm not going anywheres."

Jason looked at Alice, his expression torn. " Avi said I....., I'll go get my armor in case I need it."




Beth looked terrified, and wrapped her arms around Tom's metallic chest as soon as he was close enough. " I'm ... I'm okay. Just scared. I don't think I want to stay here tonight. Can you drop me at a hotel or something?" Her fear was turning to anger as she looked at the mess. " If I can find anything to take with me?"


Kristian merely sat close, sipping on another beer. " We're in this together, Si. And I didn't get the impression Arc was up to anything. In fact just the opposite. Either he is really worried for his family or a darn good actor."

[Mierin]

Alice shakes her head and says to Jason gently, "You're still recovering. I don't think it's a good idea for you to go if it turns out there's going to be a fight."

[Dome]

After Isamu and Ashley "cheer each other up," he rises from the bed. Standing beside it he stretches sitting down on the edge he gently shakes Ashley and says, "my love, would you like to get something to eat now, or rest for a while?"

"I'll talk to the others, we'll fix something up. I promise." Tom starts to reach up to return the embrace, but stops. "OK. I'll talk to the others on our radio while you get whatever you need. I'll be right here."

[dakota]

"MMmmmmm?" Ashley replied, semi-coherent. " no, I'm fine. Just give me a few minutes." she replied, her eyes never opening but a faint smile on her face.


Jason nodded," I know, but the suit should protect me." He replied. " and I'll only put it on if things go to crap."


Beth let Tom go, and stepped on and over her scattered belongings. as she was in the other room, Tom caught a glimpse of movement at one of the windows in the back of the house.

"Beth...get away from the windows." Tom goes to his Bandadio. "Janie? Someone tore up Beth's place, and they might be out back, I'm going to take a look - get the others on standby just in case." as he peers out the window.

[Mierin]

Alice looks worried despite the armour. "You just got out of major surgery. I don't think it's a good idea if you go into a fight." Alice gets on the radio and tells Tom "I'm standing by, just in case. Let me know what you find."

[dakota]

Jason slumped into another chair. " fine, I'll wait here, but if you go, you be careful."


as Tom got to the window, he saw a green skiined young man heading away quickly, who Tom recognized from city hall as the one that had been grabbed by the throat. He could remember him being called Gremlin. Beth came up behind Tom," What is it?"
