The Three Demons

Dante quietly walks up to the bikes, at the mention of hurrying back to Strongbow, he can't help but smile.

[dakota]

Khris walked back to the bike and was about to get on," Tigger, we got a problem. I'm not sure I should drive. Not with the chaos on these streets."

[albatross]

Tiger looks at Kris and leans forward and sniffs his breath. "Er, right." She turns to Akane. "Akane and Kris, start walking back. Dante, I'll drop you off then get these two."

She tears off on the bike, zipping up the street at a good clip. It only takes her ten minutes to get to the plane. As she drops Dante off she says, "Why don't you check up on Jeckle and see how much progress she has made on the testers. That is if you aren't too tipsy," she grins.

Then she zips back to find Kris and Akane. She offers the bike seat to Kris and says to Akane, "You're fast right? Its not far to the airport. Take a nice eight to ten mile run and we'll putz along next to you. Ok?"

"If you want an opportunity to copulate please, go ahead of me. I am sure on my own I can get back and you are probably want to head back before the liquidy courage wears off." Sadly the two of them will be able to tell she is being quite frank and hones. "If worst comes down to it I can always utilize some magic and fly there. In fact I am sure of it. It is a pleasant night so you two go ahead!"

Tiger freezes as if she has just been slapped. She stares at Akane. "Where you come from do people just 'copulate' in the street in the middle of an important mission?"

"No. But if you head to the plane ahead of me then you will have a chance. As running it will take a little time to get there. Hence the little time. I apologize if you think I meant have sex in the middle of the street. I was trying to say head back, it will take me a little time and have sex there. You know...a break!"

"We aren't going to leave you to travel through a panicking city alone." Tiger says calmly. "You are fast enough it we won't have to slow down much on these packed streets. And no flying. I'm sure these people are scared enough."

Tiger makes a mental note to try to work with Akane to develop her tact. It wouldn't be good if she had made a comment like that to a recruit - somebody might get killed.

"Get going, I'm sure a leisurely motorcycle ride through snarled Tokyo traffic will be enough of a break for us." Tiger grins wryly.

[dakota]

Khris couldn't help but chuckle. " Tigger, take Akane back to the plane first. I screwed up, so there's no reason for her to be punished. I can start walking. Then when you get back, you can give me the tongue lashing I've got coming."

OOC: Since I'll be gone for a week... Everyone gets back to the plane, Tiger gets a call that the kung fu recruit in China is no longer available so everyone settles in for the long flight to Nepal. Feel free to converse, and Dante and Jeckle can work on the tester. Jeckle got the first piece to work by the time everyone got back to the plane. Tiger and Strongbow will be quiet/flying the plane/resting for obvious reasons. Albatross.

*feels the earth shaking .. err wait .. that's the taste of cold metal in the mouth. her eyes open and blink at the floor against her cheek 'ugh .. nasty .. how? .. doesn't matter'

*pushes herself into a sitting position. the waffle pattern of the floor clearly shows on her cheek as she looks at the others. 'back so soon? darn. looks like i missed the party'

*she gets to her feet and nearly falls over as she moves towards the work area again. she yawns as she settles into a chair and looks about and grabs the cooler that has her supply of cafine. she pops a Coke and takes a long drink from the bottle inside. she blinks a little blurry eyed as she wakes up and yawns once more, then reaches into her backpack for a granola bar and pulls out the schematics once again and studies them. she'll start work on the interface next .. the reactor is still all fuzzy in her mind

Akane does listen to the request and heads to the plane

Khris sat in his seat, half fuming at himself and the other half trying to figure out how to make it up to Tiger for failing so miserably. His first thoughtwhy he'd failed was maybe it was because he drank too much, but then changed that to he had failed and given up to easily. He finally settled on a combination of both. The hard part was figuring how to make it up to her without making a fool of himself in the eyes of the others

Jeckle pauses long enough to look up at Kris and then points at something. 'there. couldn't make it prettier .. somehow you don't seem like the etched barrel type to me ... ' *she's pointed at his rifle, then returns to working on the piece in front of her. a small portion kicking the 'Reactor' over in her mind, trying to figure out sections that don't make sense.

'why don't you try the 'Reactor' .. this part. can't figure it out. i'm a weapons designer and maker, not an electrician. just can't grasp it .. maybe you can ... ' *places the papers for that part in Dante's hands and returns to the part she's working on'

[whoops, my bad. meant to say Dante's hands and not Kris' as was implied. correction made. my bad, it was late when i typed it up]

Khris snapped out of his funk and picked up his weapon, " Sure, I can try to help. Balance seems different. What did you do, JC?" he asked with a bit of a grin as he butted the stock to his shoulder and sighted it for a moment. The rifle vanished, replaced by it's substitute in his hands. He secured the spare and then approached Jeckle," So how exactly do I help? I just use the weapons, your the one that makes them."

'well, it helps to know what kind of weapons you use. helps to know what you expect a weapon to do. as in a gun that fires off a tranq while firing off rubber bullets or ones made of ice for no evidence .. things like that would really help

'do you use knives? .. can you throw them? what's your favorite weapon that you don't hide .. whereever you hide them?

'the staff Dante asked me to play with. it helped to know that he wanted the knife as a projectile as well as being a bladed staff. Heckle gave me a challenge .. one knife, three blades. single pivot and throwable. case strapped to leg arm whereever he wanted to strap it. i did. inside of three days using parts from a junkyard.

'weapons i can work with and use and are usable are the best. this remanufacturing of things i have no understanding of is tougher on me. it's not a weapon. i'm not geared to make it, but i'm trying hard. give me something i can mull over in the back of my mind and let me make it. then give me a report on how it worked in the field and what if anything could improve it

'and to answer your question' *tinker with object under construction now* 'i simply did as you asked. i had to completely disassemble .. fine tune and a few other things, but i did tighten up a loose section there. think the aim is better too. you'll have to check that out and make sure .. then let me know. that's pretty much it'
