I can not believe that she wants to spar while she is high. Maybe I can turn this to my advantage though. She thinks to herself before standing and turning to her. "Very well, how do you wish for me to begin?"

It soon became obvious, as Tori waved the can around, that Socrates had not been paying much attention to them, at all. Well, not since he'ld shown off Tori's excellent judgement. He was, in fact, more interested in making sure Trassk wasn't shot in the head. The mention of sparing tweaked his ear, but did little more.
"Besides, Shep." Socrates says, ranks having been dropped since the plane took off. "Richardson needs a role model. Can't be one if there's a hole for the air to leak out of." He paused, thinking if he got the saying right. They used them on the dog boys (and with each other, but only people like Sam or Shep didn't seem to mind them at all on humans. "I also have one I heard about getting too many knocks to the head."

Catnip did not make a cat high, like marijuana would affect a human or even a dog. Unevolved cats certainly got more than a little silly, but with as many human genes as feline, it had the approximate affect of chewing tobacco. It could even be smoked, with all the wallop of maybe a Marlboro Red. No more, no less. Good thing Pogue had yet to figure that out.
Tori got up and stretched in a very feline way. The cat seemed as limber as her four-legged predecessors. "Well, Let's head over to the clear area in the bay. Basically, I'm not going to throw the full weight of my training on you, just a few minor attacks to see how you move, and I want you to come at me, too. We're armoured up, so we can't really hurt each other."
Hand to hand was largely obsolete in an age of ceramic body armour and laser rifles. Still, it would tell Tori a lot to see the pogue fight, about reaction time, hand eye coordination, and the overall ability to get the hell out of the way.
Tori led the way to a clear spot in the airship, stretching a bit.
(someone wanna tell me about the dice roller now?)

The Doctor knowing her capabilities will not take the first strike or cheap shot as this is a sparring match, so waits for Tori to act first.

Sam watches Tori and Autumn out of the corner of her eye, but doesn't interfere, at least not yet. Part of it is because she has no reason to think Tori is going to try to hurt Autumn, and it was important for her to know how well Autumn could handle herself. Given that so far she hadn't shown that very well, Sam was seriously considering having Autumn go back to base along with the jet. It wasn't the girl's fault, if what she said was true, but it wasn't fair to anyone for her to be here if she didn't want to be and it was a liability to the crew Sam didn't think they could afford.

Tori took off her boonie and replaced it with her helmet. The armoured gauntlets built into CA armour would soak up the shock of a hit, without leading to broken fist bones, skinned knuckles or any other injury. Assuming Autumn had her helmet on, Tori said, "Let's begin."
The cat moved, well, like a cat, seeing Autumn seemed ready for it, Tori threw a simple body blow, to Autum's lower ribs, before being ready to parry. [dice=20+7]- to strike
Having thrown her punch, Tori stands with her weight on her back foot to quickly throw her weight into a block of Autumn's counterrattack. [dice=20+7]-to parry
If Autumn's strike landed, Tori would roll with it, just for good practice, [dice=20+5]-to roll
"Hey Autumn? You said you defended your post from some attack, but if they were using armour piercing weapons, how did you survive?"

Autumn attempts to parry the blow of the much larger cat Parry - [dice=20+3] = 21 Then attempts to sweep the legs of the much larger cat Strike - [dice=20+3] = 22
Seeing how well she did she is kinda happy and waits for the next action.[rand=89262533072419884583701701721975846619141996989523189442693500684]

Tori finds herself on her but fairly quickly. The girl has some skill, but managed to land a few lucky shots.
Tori actually wasn't "much larger" She was a wall of muscle, and her muscles were much denser than a human's. She had a rather slight frame, but was cut fiercely. Her muscles didn't exactly buldge like a juicer. At 4 foot 5 inches, she weighed about 150 pounds, but had the strength of a human body builder nearly two feet taller and twice as heavy. In her small package, she had the power of a minor juicer, while looking more like a human gymnist.
Tori got to her feet with a nod. "Your reflexes aren't bad." True, they were passable, but Tori still had to put down her success to luck.
She threw a kick to Autumn's chin, her foot coming to waist level before arcing up to the jawbone of her helmet, [dice=20+7]
While she threw her forearm forward to deflect the blow that the doctor would counter with. [dice=20+7][rand=014658600716223435773724721322905720045290182666073276013525173273]

Autumn parries the attack with her forearm
Parry - [dice=20+3] = 17 (Parried - Ouch natural 1)
Then while the leg is in the air once again tries to go for the leg this time hoping she is unbalanced enough to put her down on the ground
Strike - [dice=20+3] = 21
(OOC - if no one mentioned it if you hit preview you can see what you rolled to help with your response, the dice do not change)[rand=68828221541952421178239301100564381820440573704238953221254009195]

The skylifter jolted from a spot of turbulance, tossing tori mid kick. while unbalanced, she gets her left leg swept from under her, falling to the floor again.
"You really must be the luckiest human in the world. You have better luck than a cat, and can keep one from falling on her feet. I'm impressed. Are you Irish?" Tori wasn't really sure what that meant, but a human in BUDS named O'Fallon said he was lucky to be Irish, and wore a shamrock around his neck.
On her tukas, Tori lunged out with her foot, to hook Autumn's knee, and sweep her down to the deck. [dice=20+7]
Using her surplus attack this round, she lunged forward and grazed her (sdc) claws across autumn's throat. [dice=20+7] "Get some!" she hissed.
Lastly, she parried any sort of counterattack. [dice=20+7][rand=374223235809952178212102047989953902117047274829335498150390187]

Autumn attempts to dodge seeing she doubts she would be able to parry the sweep coming at her.
Dodge - [dice=20+3] =23 (Natural 20, nice)
This is more as I am not sure if she has to worry about the strike but will post as a JIC - Parry - [dice=20+3] = 21
As her last action she tries to punch back
Strike - [dice=20+3] = 6 (Well the streak could not last forever)[rand=9908056349146577684538073956845385810816446593965391116860183301]

T-bone bares her canines in sort of a smile to the pogue. "Well, you've held on this long, so why not one more dance, lucky girl?"
With a feint to the kidneys, Tori kick at the Pogue's knee. [dice=20+7] mostly unsuccessfully.
Knowing she faces one more, she parries, and gives a defiant hiss. [dice=20+7]
At her last hit she squares up and approaches Sam.
"Six? She's lucky. Supernaturally lucky. As if she sold her soul. My opinion is she probably did. But she's lucky and she's on our team. The Pogue stays with us, sir." [rand=11739752940119874872613662346902382183922420713663548201633374676]

(OOC - Actually sadly only have 4 attacks so all defensive this round.)
Autumn still trying to keep her own attempts to successfully parry the blow.
Parry - [dice=20+3] = 20
After hearing the high praise of Tori she is happy that maybe she managed to successfully be able to show her skills and that she is something more then a simple Pogue. She then goes and sits down near Richardson.[rand=820417915540573757877196486721316123098057271239505892451025247]

" I don't give a damn about hirearchy. Tori, you can call me Shepherd. You call either me by rank in the field and it could get us killed. Same goes for the LT. That's why you don't see rank insignia on our armor, snipers love to clip officers first." Shep replied as he offered his rifle to Richardson. " One of those new PREDator Arms PRED-10 Laser carbines. Doesn't have the range of my full size C-14, but the retractible stock and short barrel make it alot better in tight areas. Hard to get ahold of, but I hear that the whole line is being looked at by CSOG command to adopt. Go figure, a Prosek starts a weapons company and the CS is the first company." He smirked, dropping his NG LP45 into it's leg holster and taking up his WI-GL4 grenade laungher and began loading the drum magazine with Triax pump rifle rounds.
He glanced at the helmet with a scowl. " I didn't drop it," shep admitted as he took the helmet from Socrates," LT, there's a reason I hate wearing that," he swallowed, paying no attentio to the sparring." We can discuss it later. And Soc, I'm no role model."

"You won't see me give a sniper check in the field, Mr. Trassk," Tori said. A sniper check was a dead-boy term for a salute. As for calling the captain "Six," that was an age old and arcane term. Tori did not read, and few copies of the pulp paperback remained. The term was popularized in a pre-rifts book called "Rainbow Six," by Tom Clancy.
She gave Janx a nuzzle and dissected the spar. The pogue was not bad, but should not have been that good, either. She possessed the best luck Tori had ever seen in a fight. The little cat believed in luck, but Autumn had a motherload of luck. If they ever came across a card table, Tori would stake her, and only request 25 percent. It would be betting on a sure thing, as far as she could tell.
Tori took her weapon, a TX-42, with the clip slung vertically, rather than a FSW, with some sort of secondary weapon hanging off the front, and disassembled it. She pulled her cleaning kit from her pack, and began to clean the laser part of her weapon. Like Trassk's, it had a folding stock. The TX-42 was naturally short, unlike similar coalition weapons.
She dropped the clip from the secondary barrel to reveal it full of red plastic 12-gauge shells. Then she ran a ramrod through the barrel and stripped down the receiver to scrub it with a toothbrush. Soon, she was reassembling the entire weapon.
