CH 16: Moving on... (Mai and Kendall)

[Renekin Skywalker]

"Won't be for a while." William says. "And we're sticking together. I need to look legit. That Aplha Prime will have a hard on for me otherwise."

[sasqaricious]

"Oh, OK. On that note how do we plan on heading there anyhow." She does not respond to his handling herself, knowing he means it more then being patronizing. "I mean my little car would be awfully cramped with the three of us?"

[Renekin Skywalker]

"We can walk." William says. Taking something out of his pocket and puts it on her car, turning it invisible. "There, done."

And he heads across the street towards the visible warehouses.

[Dome]

"Good idea, otherwise it would really be gone by the time we got back."

Kendall reaches under his coat and adjust his holster and gun. He kept Mei from seeing it while in the apartment, why he wasn't quite sure. Maybe she would think less of him or something. She really had no idea what he did in the military. He may have come out working communications, but it wasn't exactly what he was known for being one of the better explosive experts. He couldn't help but think when he got his bionics that if he had been in the army still, he would be an even better sniper now than he used to be.

He motions for Mei to follow William and follows behind her.

Mei also follows suit and walks beside Peter and had not noticed the gun at all.

"You know I love to walk, this should be fun!"

[Dome]

"Just keep your eyes peeled."

[sasqaricious]

His quick response kinda made her feel unhappy, but understands that he is probably focused on the job so she responds "OK, will do my best!"

[Dome]

Kendall reaches out and pulls her close in a one armed hug and says, "I'm convinced, together we'll be fine. I just hate operations like this. Wish we knew more."

"I tried to find an address, but the records were slim pickings. Whoever watched over them must have been some kind of genius." WIlliam said.

As they walked, they got more than a few glares: a Grackle, an asian girl and a guy in a trenchcoat. If they were all in bright colours wearing masks, they would have been automatically considered as heroes.

The warehouses were a large mix: some were busy and messy, a good number were messy and empty, some were clean and empty, a few were clean and showing activity, and a couple were clean, looked like they might be busy and were clean.

[Dome]

Kendall turns up his amplified hearing as they pass several buildings he tries to identify the sound of activity at one of the seemingly empty buildings. He says, "my guess is they wouldn't want anyone to bother them so the place will look empty. We could just go up to the empty looking places and knock."

Kendall thinks for a moment, "you know I was thinking, the best way to draw them out would be to commit a crime, but I really don't want to do that. I have had way to much police attention lately."

[Renekin Skywalker]

"You have a 10 foot tall alien with a sword." William says, smirking, drawing the sword.

[Dome]

"What do you plan on doing William? We're already drawing looks. I told you I don't want to have to deal with the police again."

[Renekin Skywalker]

"I am the police." William answered, with a wink. Waving his sword at them, he said, "Now! Gimme yer wahllits, ye weak scallywags."

[Dome]

"Your a cop in the future not here."

Kendall sighs and slumps his shoulders looking down for a moment. He smacks his forehead and drags his hand down his face. Then he mumbles, "_{scallywag? If thats how people in the future talk, should we really be trying to save it?}"

With a grown he jumps back and puts Mei behind himself, "I'm not giving you a damn thing. Get away from us."

[Renekin Skywalker]

"I read this is how criminals talked in your era." He mumbles back. "Look, just give me yer wahllits, an' I won' hurt none of yous... two...ss."
