whether itit's the cold or the gruesomeness of the creature's attack, DD club missed the rafter, so his back flip landed him short of his target. The Brood infected leapt to a crate on on side of the aisle and used it to push off with it's hands and feet to get up on top of the crates. now that the aisle was clear, both Cap and DD could see that the heavyset clerk had been foolish enough to come see what the commotion was.

Daredevil throws the other half of his billy club at the creature, and then tries to catch the rafters again so that he can get up to the same height as the creature. "Cap save the clerk he yells,"

Cap, realizing he had only seconds to act, makes a split second decision. He looses his shield, throwing it in a different direction hoping that the creature won't notice it, but with such and arc that it will riccochet and catch the creature from behind.

Cap's shield shoots through between DD and the broodling, coming closer to DD than it's intended target. The creature did however stop and turn after DD's club hit it in the shoulder and nearly made it stumble. It didn't stop however, though it hesitated.
Too bad the time it bought did the clerk frozen with fear little good.

DD leaps into the air and tries to catch the ricocheting end of his billy club. As he lands he pulls out his hook line again and shoots it at the creature trying to catch it. If he finds purchase he pulls back towards himself

DD caught the billy club, but the creature changed direction at the last moment, causing the club to miss (dodged, 11). The redirection was Cap's fault and the broodling launched itself claws first at Captain America, claws and fangs first ( strike 17)

Captain America felt the weight of the Brood infected SHIELD agent against his shield before deflecting it aside. His kick caused the creature to stumbled backwards enough that Daredevil's blow caught it offguard and knocked it to all fours. It made an inhuman snarl and turned, bolting for the hole the pair had entered the building through.

Between the club making it stumble and the two heroes tackling it, the bloodling went down, pinned under DD and Cap. It's jaws snapped, narrowly missing Daredevil's elbow. " Release me, before I let you watch as I feast upon your spleen. Or worse, save you like a snack like your friend for my queen's return." It was still struggling, but unable to get out of their pin.
