Chapter 3: Cosmology

Gambit reaches out, in a kneejerk defensive reaction as Groot yell/speaks. "Can he tone that down?" Turning to Groot. "Can you use an inside voice?"

Because Groot is like tree, his larnyxi is only one shape. Only makes one sound, and he says other thinks, but only way to tell is by noticing differences. He is saying he will fix you, no scarink.

The chamber shatters apart as Jack Flag cries out. "Ride's here! Everybody let's go home!" as flaming debris crashes down.

Starlord drags Adam Warlock's unconscious body and pulls Tally along as Martyr grabs Mimic

Creed followed the others to escape, but he wasn't thinking about himself. His concern was on Blink and the rest of the team. but mostly Blink and her safety.

Tally still dumbfounded and confused just gets dragged along by Starlord.

The last of the group is extracted back to Knowhere as you can see the massive super-templeship implode and get sucked into the Fault.

"And...that's a wrap." Starlord quips.

Some time later, the Exiles are assembled as Groot finishes adjusting a series of machines that wave over Gambit, restoring body and fixing not only his wounds, but erasing some of his old scars (all HP and SDC restored), and fixing his uniform back to pristine condition.

"I AM GROOT!" the behemoth says as Gambit emerges. Groot pats him on the head.

"Awww...he likes you." Rocket Raccoon chuckles.

Drax sits on the ground, spinning his blades in his hands and sighs. "Thanos died, and I didn't even get to kill him this time! I had some new ideas too!"

Gamora smiles. "Exactly how many times do you have to kill a man before you move on?"

Drax waves a knife at her. "As many times as it takes to keep him dead."

The door to the medbay opens, and Starlord enters with Mantis and the newly restored Adam Warlock at his side. The room chills slightly.

Martyr looks at Starlord. "I take it-"
Mantis nods "The Magus has been removed - at least for the foreseable future. Which I can see quite a bit of, as a precog."
Jack Flag shrugs. "Uhm...that's a win, right?"
Starlord replies "About as much as you can hope for."

Adam Warlock's voice is leaden with sadness. "I must apologize - the things the Magus did - that I did - I - "
"Oh quit it Adam, no one likes to see a face that pretty moping." Gamora tugs Adam's cheek.

Bug lets out a cheer. "Alright >tik<! Let's take these >tik< beautiful femmes down to Starlin's for a >tik< party to rock the quadrant!" as he starts tugging at Mantis and Blink.

"I think he's on the right track." Jack agrees.

Starlord waves his hands. "Alright then - and Groot's buying!"

"I AM GROOT!"

"Or...on second thought, I will." Peter Quill corrects himself.

Creed smirked a little at Gamora's flirting with Warlock. " Guess that means I don't get a rematch to redeem myself before we leave, huh?"

He turned his attention to Blink," Good to see you're okay. Hate to have to break in a new sidekick." He winked and then flashed a grin. Don't forget you have to pick up Tabbycat on the way home."

Looking like himself again, Gambit takes the head-patting in good humour. "Of course he likes me." He says. "What tre wouldn't?"

As the team walks out of the room, he passes by bug. "You know, mon ami, you really are no good at attracting women. Maybe you should take a break from it, eh?" He says, chuckling.

x-23 is amused by how different this Creed is to the one on her world, but with the day and a universe saved for the first time in a long time she feels like an X-Men Again

It is unknown how log it takes Tally to come out of her shock but when she does and she sees X-23 she runs to her, tears streaming down her face and latches on in a hug. "OH Laura, I do not know who she was but she was super scarey, I mean her face was a skull, and that big purple guy, he died and..." The rest becomes inaudible as she continues hugging you and crying.

"Glad your okay too, Mr. Creed." Is everyone here?" she smiled warmly untill the rematch was mentioned. Knowing how creed was she shrugged and let pass.

"Thank you Bug. If time allows it I don't see a problem. And Starlord...I think I'll keep this timeline in the phone. I think we might work well together in the future...past...You know what I mean." she grinned rather happily.

Drax chuckles at Creed. "You and I could have a rematch."

Gamora turns from Adam and moves to Sabretooth, smirking. "Perhaps in a little while - I do wish to test the full extent of your capabilities."

Drax just shakes his head as Warlock stands confused. Drax looks at him. "Yeah, I forget you were grown in a D'ast tube. Some other time."

Bug drags Blink away and fires off at Gambit. "Maybe, but you won't >tik< mind if I dance the night away with >tik< pink girl, eh?"

Peter Quill/Starlord nods to Blink. "Uh, sure thing - always glad to be of help."

Mantis sighs. "Finally someone to distract him from me."

"At least you've never caught him trying to install cameras into your room." Martyr adds as she and Moondragon head walk off arm-in-arm.

Mantis replies. "What makes you think that I did not?"

Jack Flag looks at X-23 as Tally is holding onto her, his voice barely a whisper. "Uhm...need a hand with this?"

Peter Quill has a small grin as he runs his fingers through his hair. "This is some job you've given yourself, Quill."

"I AM GROOT!"
