'me no likes there. why females all bred to animal? is wrong, very wrong .. bad bad. males not bred to animals. they bred to .. each other? i thinks i hides from seeing'
its clear that Aki is confused, but her solution makes total sense to her. the male's she's seen appeared 'normal' just the males seem untouched. with that being the case, she plans on NOT being seen and basically left alone while the others can pair up with males.
Yumi is moving about the ground. seeking prey and pausing to sniff the air. the creature is no more than 5 feet away from the pack and ready to vanish inside in a blink of an eye.
Aki's eyes search the skies for signs of the pigeons, curious to see if they are the same as back home in the city.

Sapphire first glancing over to her master but then decides to take a chance and see if she could get away with it. "Yes that was a weird place and I am not sure but you did seem like you were all under some form of spell. I am really not sure as I have never seen things like that. Don't get me wrong," she pauses as if debating on if to continue or not, but knowing that there can be no real consequence decides to continue, "my former owner used to throw parties all the time and got people intoxicated by drink, food or magic. I just did not see any of you imbibe a beverage so am unsure what to make, but did not feel the nuances of magic either!"
Sapphire is curious as to what happened to them but also realizes that there is an apparent mission to finish so does not continue her line of speaking!

"I'm starting to think Torchwood should have started working that angle...They dealt with Aliens. Dallaks, Cybermen and rogue battlefleets." he mutters his head slowly clearing.
"It was likely as gas as well as food and drink." he looked back.
"Yes Aki, it is rather barbaric to use people like that. This is sadly a problem that was around a lot longer than any of us here." he commented darkly.

When they arrive at the Hall of Military records again, they find there is a small admission charge, but only because they don't have any student, local resident, youth, senior or promotion cards.
There are soldiers in fancy, ancient looking ceremonial uniforms just outside, but the admission personnel are civilians, dressed in black. Just inside there is a gift shop, which is four stories tall and looks bigger and better stocked than most libraries they have ever seen.
A security guard, looks like a full conversion borg wearing grey, sits idly outside the shop. Further inside a large circle with plant and statues has corridors and elevators to different parts of the complex.

Dryzh looked closely at the guard, wide eyed. He looked at the others. " Tech very high here. Good Atorians not know. Now what look for?"

"Not sure, but if we look up that vaccine or flu epidemics...we might get a hit." he offers. he stayed near Sapphire and ruffled her hair a bit, "Nice hair style..." he grinned then went to a catalogue or computer.
Out sheer curiousity he typed in harriers and Torchwood as well..

Sapphire is unsure what to make of her hair being tussled. On one hand it is scary as someone is touching her but on the other hand it is not in a painful or harmful way so it feels nice. She takes a moment to enjoy it. "Is there anything you want me to do Master Tesla? I would offer to help with that magical box you are looking at but I am afraid I have no idea how it works?"

"One day remind me to give you a computer lessons..I can't think of anything at the moment that needs doing..." he typed a few keys. and began a search. He again did something purely out instinct. It was an odd feeling. He had no real control over the impulse. It could be worse. This ring was far more comfortable than he expected. In his world he didn't have magic..but the grim reality was it did exist and he would have t deal with it. Sapphire and his allies were his best hope of that.
"Any other topics you guys can think of?" he said to the group.

*a single ~chirp~, recalls the errant creature from threatening or sniffing the strange metal man. Aki picks Yumi up and drops her into the pack then follows the others, without a sound.
*only when Telsa asks does she comment with 'big nest raid? and other nest raids? '

Bird nest raid? sure, Darwin once told birds could carry a flu to a new continent..." he thought out loud. Of course Byron and Clemmens thought that was load. still Darwin was the better biologist. he looked a round.
"Adding birds and bird nest raids to the list." he typed in and added it..

Vaccine and flu epidemics are primarily historical references. Although not everyone has nano systems, enough of the population have built in nano anti-viral systems that the Cyber Earth society effectively has herd immunity.
Searching for "Torchwood" doesn't reveal any parallels here. There is a reference for "harriers." Apparently, a terrorist organization using full conversion borgs or sophisticated robots has cropped up from time to time and intercepted decoded communications reveal that they refer to themselves as "Harriers." None of the terrorists have been captured alive, and they frequently self-destruct.
Searches for birds and bird's nest raids turns up mostly law enforcement actions against various organizations in history known as the "bird's nest."

"It seems we have something..." He remembered the details and articles. take a look at this." he said quietly. With a no reference to torchwood he wasn't quite surprised in retrospect it was likely secret or absorbed into another group.

Sapphire hovers over her masters shoulders taking a gander at the screen and the marvel of the magic he works on that box. "Master Tesla another information string you could look up is the kidnapping of a queen and princess in the history. I mean that black and white clad lady did ask us to keep an eye out for them and maybe there will be a mention of them somewhere in history. I know it is kinda vague but is it possible to include that search with great thefts of vaccinations and something along those lines. I apologize if I am out of line!"

There are of course many library records involving queens, princesses and kidnapping. However, most of them are fiction and end with the kidnapper killed and aren't specifically tied to any virus outbreaks.
The rest of the team can smell food nearby, there must be a food court just beyond the common intersection.
Just then, the security systems of the library goes off. All the lights turn red. Nearby library staff look around in confusion as if this has never happened before. But security guards dressed in grey move swiftly to the front entrance with weapons drawn.
Tesla finds the disturbance using the security cameras. In the Archaeology library building, in the military sub section, someone has fired several bursts from a railgun. At least that what it looks like on the video playback. Artifacts and glass were shattered just from the sound and the shelves were blasted in half leaving a trench of destruction through the room. At least three security guards were killed instantly.
The Archaeology building is about two miles away.
