The Trail Goes Cold
The Mongoose easily slips past people unnoticed or at least they don't seem to mind, but the guards try to converge on Aki, its as if they can see right through the crowd (they can) and they are intent on herding her away. Neural mace in one hand they hold up their other hand in a stop gesture, waving Aki away.
Sapphire finds a room full of cyborgs, but they all seem to be security personel. If she had been watching the video feed like Tesla, she would know that the three guards under attack and also the attackers had all teleported away just a moment ago.
The room is in ruins, and the security guards yell at Sapphire, waving her away and clearly displeased at her presence.
(The team can continue to use the library to research as long as they want, however, eventually it will become clear that the theif has eluded them in this time and place. )

Allan took all the information in disbelief. "They stole the guards?" He asks. "Well, I guess if you can steal through time, why bother with gold and riches, hmm?" He checked the note near the door to see what kind of items were stored there.

" This very strange." Dryzh commented as he was caught up to speed. The affects of the club had taken long to effect him, but it was proving even harder to shake as he had been of no help. Only now was the foggyness clearing from his head. " Why steal guards?" And Dryzh not go near bar again, okay?" He looked around at the others with his saucer sized eyes.

Sapphire is lost with what to do as her instructions were specific as to investigate. Seeing there is nothing to investigate she takes a quick moment to scan the room once more to see if there are any form of clues she can find or use. She will do so till she is ushered from the room or until she finds something. Anything will work from a scrap left behind to something much bigger.

As soon as she finds something or when she is asked/forced to leave is when she heads back. If they are unhappy then she rushes back via flight!

Tesla had the tapes played back and forth on the computer. as the team investigated After looking over the tap for any details he remembered all the details and moved on. of course he didn't need play the data that was stored in the computer..on of the benefits of his psionic abilities.
"I committed what I could find on the computer to memory. ANything left behind we can work with?" Tesla walked.

Aki squats and is obviously talking to something behind the guards. she ignores them, but doesn't go closer.

All that is left in the room is broken pottery and blasted books, most of them dealing with pottery. Sapphire can maybe pick up a shard of pottery, or a book that wasn't vaporized by railgun ricochet.
Reviewing the footage shows the three guards. They are attacked by full borgs or robots using rail guns. The rail gun rounds don't kill the security guards. The bursts hit some kind of shield and scatter in all directions, deflected. The damage is incredible. Every artifact in the room is pulverized. The level above the site of the attack is riddled with gaping holes. The three security guards in grey stand blinking in the dust. One of them has hair the color of a bright blue sky and another has cat ears and a tail.
The attackers stop firing once they realize the targets are shielded. They circle a little, watched by the guards. Then both parties teleport away, just before dozens and dozens more security guards show up.

Aki looks up now that Yuki is calm and views the damage to the building above her. she scritches the chin of her companion moments before it slips back into the pack.
Aki knows she wont be able to do anything to help, so turns with a sigh and starts back the way she came, hoping to find the others

Sapphire does reach down and grabs a piece of pottery and a book. Not entirely happy with her finds but hopefully they please her master she takes off over everyones heads again and tries to find her way back to the rest of the group.
If she sees Aki she will land beside her in hopes that she knows the way back, otherwise tries to find the way on her own.

Allan sighs. "Maybe this was just a gang war kind of hit? The guards were working for the theives, and the full borgs were a rival or something, and then the borgs his the giards, and realizing the thief had the guards' back, the parties moved on to try again later, somewhere else?" He suggests. "Or else... I have no clue."
As the group re-assembles, he asks the next important question: "where to, nest?"

Yumi chitters once and pokes her head out at Sapphire then ducks down again and is silent.
Aki looks up and smiles 'how you fly like birds? wish to fly like one too. one day will understand people. animals easy understand. they be true in action'
*shrugs and continues the longer way back to the others. then points out the others in a group just ahead. 'they be here. strong smell easy to track. this smell wrong, they not belong here. easy to track with wind'
