Jessica makes her way back to the shop. As the 50 Cal is hefted onto the counter, the older woman looks it over. "You never cease to disappoint." She says. "Alright. Good for one of the ions. I'm sure in a month you'll be churning them out anyways."
At the Romper Room, McKenna is greeted by a 3-D Escher bar! Tables on every side and the roof, the dance music low for the time being. Black lights lit up constellation and other kinds of wall-paintings. Tawfeek and Foreman were having guy-talk at the bar. Mensk was talking with a man McKenna didn't know at a table on one of the walls. Though, they seemed focused on a table of women on the other side of the room - the opposing wall.
Mensk and Xavier experience that moment where they realize they should go over, but haven' started moving, yet.
"Could be worse." Tawfeek says to Foreman, taking a swig. "I have yet to learn a single one."

"Well why are we discussing this when we could be heading over there to talk with those girls." As such Xavier stands up and waits for Mensk to see if he does the same!

McKenna debates a moment which pair to join, and decides on the Captain and Foreman, since Mensk and whoever he was with seemed to be preoccupied. She walked to the bar and took the stool beside Foreman, careful to keep her knees together as she satto be mindful of the dress' cut. " she acknowledged the others," Captain. Foreman." she tried to get the tender's attention. " Do you know how to make a Laika Staion Iced Tea?" It was a fairly potent drink, but she knew she could handle her liquor.

Jessica collects one of the ion guns with a smile and word of thanks. While she would have liked both, the older woman was correct in her assumption that it wouldn't be long before Jess herself was making these guns for the crew or for profit. Tucking the gun away, she says cheerfully, "It was a pleasure doing business with you."
Leaving the shop, she does a quick check around the nearby shops to see if she can find McKenna. When she is unable to find her, she shrugs and heads to the bar to meet back up with the Captain and whoever had gone with him. Entering the bar she looks around and smiles as she spots the Captain, McKenna and Foreman. Walking over to them, she smiles and says "Hello again." Finding a seat, she'll order herself a draft when the opportunity provides herself.

Jessica looks honestly surprised as she replies, "I did?" Smiling, she adds "Oh you must have seen me going back to the ship. I just had to grab something from my room to make a trade with the woman you saw me talking to while you were shopping. I was only gone for a few minutes and looked for you after I had completed my transaction, but couldn't find you so I came here."
Turning to Tawfeek, she grins as she informs him "I got a new toy." Tawfeek has worked with her long enough to know that new toy equals a new gun she was excited about studying to see how quickly she could make one of her own.

"New engineers, new toys, and new dresses." Tawfeek says to Foreman. "It's good to be captain."
"Now, Stephens, Mckenna, I take it you will both be responsible with your new acquisitions." He said, refering to the slinky clothes, and what he could only assume, for Jessica, was a WMD.

Tawfeek looks at McKenna with an eyebrow raised. "How can you not know how a dress works? You got into it, didn't you?" He smirks. "Stephens, when those two over there" He adds, meaning Mensk and Xavier. "Have sorted themselves out with the local colour, get to know Xavier, he's replacing Mensk. Mensk is replacing Deviss."

Foreman who had been more concerned with his drink than conversation finally speaks up, "what the Captain said. That guy there is our new engineer. Hopefully he isn't a pothead."

McKenna just shook her head at Tawfeek, not sure if he was serious. She then shrugged to Foreman," Not great, they don't have alot to pick from. I did find this oufit though." She grinned.
( wow, PB 18 and wearing an outfit like Alice from Resident Evil and no one notices? tough crowd)

"Well, this is a mechanics garage in space." Tawfeek says. "Can't expect Macy's here." He took a swig, finally turning to actually face McKenna. "Just make sure you didn't get ripped off." He reaches and pulls a stray thread from McKenna's dress, waiting idly to see if it'll unravel before continuing to speak. "Sometimes they only get the factory rejects here."
(Well, I'm pretty sure Jessica isn't gay, Foreman has his solid military training - or maybe is gay, that's for Dome to decide - and Tawfeek... he's the boss, and knows why McKenna's there and not where she was before, and he needs a doctor more than McKenna needs a boyfriend.
Also, McKenna came in and was snippy with Jessica almost right away when she arrived. Dress or no, that kind of attitude = Ew.)

Foreman takes a moment to look McKenna up and down. His mind flashes back to her workout in Zero-G, all hot and sweaty, pulling off some moves he'd only seen in the movies. He shifts on his feet leans forward a bit at the waist to try and hide his approval. Putting on a stupid grin he says, "that um...well...nice choice Doc. It seems to suit you nicely. Hey boss how bout we change the ships uniform policy? I like that one," he says pointing at McKenna, "for the ladies anyway." {I wont comment on your comments  } |
