Umm..., excuse me. <raises hand> I thought we were on a time crunch trying to find a cure for a virus. Is the virus still killing people back on earth prime while we spend months in the cold dessert?

Yes and no.
First of all, time moves at different speeds on different planets. Romidus might spend years on Otataral or Palladium and return mere minutes after he left Earth. Or the reverse could also happen - even if Romidus got out of the sealed dimension in twenty minutes it is no guarantee he wouldn't arrive back on Earth decades later.
Second, Darrell and Bellephobe are able to travel through time via magic. Once the vaccine is recovered, they could teleport the team back in time to the appropriate spot and undo the damage the thief caused.
Of course, for the inexperienced time travelers in the group it may be hard to keep that in perspective.
All things considered, there are time continuum advantages to recovering the vaccine earlier rather than later. But in the end the main question will not be "when" the team recovers the vaccine but rather "if ever."

I haven't handed out any experience points yet right?
1,000 points for everyone for crossing the Dying Lands desert. Bellephobe started in the desert and Romidus just before.
For everyone else, I'll award an additional 2,000. (3,000 total)
Dryzh get an additional +1 level to W.P. Sword from sparring with Ora and Romidus learns W.P. Chain with an additional +1 to strike. If either Dryzh or Romidus is trying to learn Ora's style of fighting, they are 1/12th of the way there (there is a skill cost to her art - it is approximately equal to Yu-Sool martial art with weapon katas available).
Seem reasonable? Let me know - Albatross.

I haven't posted recently because I was waiting to see if anyone else would say anything in the tavern, and then we fast forwarded a couple of days.
I'm about ready to move on when the business of other characters is concluded. Bellephoebe doesn't have much interest in this town (which might not be wise, but she can be fairly prissy, and wants to keep moving to get out of this low-magic dimension ASAP), and figures when we get to this large band of armed men outside of town we'll wind up having to wing it anyway.

Yes, I think we would accept new players. I'm not 100% sure how I'd introduce them at this point, but I can post we are recruiting.

Great! I'm going to put together a recruiting post soon.
The easiest player characters at this point would be immortals (they are needed as a magic component for the next step).
One of Fakir's "bunny girl" minions could also be fun to play, but they aren't the brightest bulbs on the tree.... the warrior nuns probably less fun...

Hmmm, it's good to have new recruits but one thing I did notice is that atriu's character has an insane hatred of money and wealth. As a personality quirk that's fine, but taken to the level of insanity I could see some potential problems there with my character especially seeing as she's conceptually been a rich little princess and has a clothes horse obsession which rarely comes up.
Personality clashes and dialogue are fine, but when your dealing with conflicting insanities by definition keeping things "reasonable" is hard to justify.
Honeslty Bellephoebe only has an insanity because it was required for all characters on EU where she started.

Good point. I doubt it will come up much in the next mission.
If things get out of hand, insanities are curable....

Makes sense. I think some of these insanities aren't very well defined... a hatred of wealth or jewelery might be a personal hated like a person who hates taking showers... or it could be a hatred outwardly expressed against others.

he has seen what money can do, so he isnt gonna be rich... but he also knows he needs it to survive... he will keep enough for food or repairs... but not enough to gain a fortune

I'll be in China until 4/20. Not sure about internet access over there. We'll see.
