Shep nodded. " I never intended to drag anyone into this. I only approached Rhys because I needed someone to count on if you backed out. not to mention he's a crack shot." He swallowed hard. " LT, you realize that this guy has a thing for killing officers, right? You'll be painting a target on yourself."

Sam smirks "Worried about my safety? I'm touched." Sighing, she adds "I always have a target on me. It's part of the job. Besides, where one piece of bait is good, 2 is better to flush out game."

" Not worried, just don't want to have to fill out more paperwork and break in another officer." Shep grinned," and that's too much like work."

Sam rolls her eyes. "Figures." Sighing she asks "What time were you planning on leaving?"

" Whenever you give us the green light. Mine and Rhys' gear is packed, and the new guy, McCain? He's ready to go too." He replied, his face giving away how prepared he'd been to leave on his own. " I suggest a little time to draw any supplies and prep everyone else's armor. standard black and white is poor forest camoflague."

Sam nods at Shep. "That's a good idea." she replies "I'll let you know when we are ready to go. It shouldn't take too long."

Once her own gear is in order, Mary reports to Sam. "Sir, I am ready for field duty. Are there orders?"

Shep didn't make a sound, but his face gave away his emotions. He inched towards the door," I'll .... uh.. go round up the others and find out who's in. Can't see anyone backing out but I'll give them the option." He nodded to Mar as he left, " Excuse me, Sargeant" was all he said.

'My apologies Sargeant, Ma'am." Mary said politely. "I had not intended to interrupt anything."

After Shep leaves Mary turns to Sam. "I will thank him for running smoke-screen with my father... I just don't want him to get the wrong idea from it."

McCain finishes up on the line and heads to the armory for a quick recharge of his e-canister and e-clips before they head out.

Dyson, Rhys and McCain were into their meal when Shep appeared, taking the remaining seat at their table. Dyson was about to salute when Trassk threatened with a grin, " You do and I'll break your fingers." He looked over to Rhys. " You still packed?"

O'Neil nodded," All set. The LT on board or are we going bandit?"

" No, she's in." Shep replied, giving Rhys a stern look at the word bandit. " Sounds like Smith is going too."

" Good , you two can be the evening entertainment as usual."

Dyson snickered as Shep cuffed Rhys in time to make his fork miss his mouth. " shut up or I'll take McCain with me instead. From what I saw he's as good a shot except for that cannon he carries." He turned to Wong and McCain. " LT says this one is strictly volunteer. We're gonna put a stop to an officer hunter. You in?"

Sam nods at marianna "Of course." She then tells Mar "This operation is strictly volunteer. It's up to you. If you'd rather stay behind, that's fine."

Dyson shrugged, " I can't stay back and let the rest of you have all the fun. And someone has to play medic with you folks, if only when you hurt each other."

Shep scowled at the comment," Sounds good. Have your trash packed then, we're on standby until LT says otherwise." He turned to Dyson as he stood," You might want to draw extra supplies for your med kit then."

As Shep left, dyson grinned at Rhys and McCain," I guess that means Sgt. Smith is going too."
