Alice starts a bit as the dirt flies beyond her as a silenced shot is fired and she quickly heads toward the door, hoping to avoid getting shot knowing if Nullifier was close enough, she would not be able to use her healing abilities and could possibly bleed to death.

Tyler held the door open for Alice as she entered. Jason was peering outside nervously, a dollop of blood acrossed his eyebrow from his fall. " where is he? He's close. Ty, we gotta go now."
" I'll keep watch. See if you can calm him down." Ty said, ignoring his brother.

Alice nods at Tyler and moves over to Jason and tries to help calm him down. "Panicking won't help us at all, and it'll just make it easier for him to kill us." she says gently "We have to stay focused and we'll catch him."

" Allright," Jason said, trying to calm down as Tyler headed into another room. Jas wiped at the blood running down his brow. " I thought I was ready for this, Alice. but I'm not, I don't know if I'll ever be ready to face this... your eyes, Alice, they're changing again."

Alice takes Jason's hand and says gently "I don't think he's going to give you the choice, Jas, but you're not alone. I'm here and i'll do everything I can to protect you and so will Ty."
Alice frowns as she asks "What do you mean, they're changing?" She looks into the nearest reflective surface to see if they were changing back to brown.

Jason was right, Alice's eyes had again reverted to thier disguised color, but even as she watched, they returned to thier normal color. " He's getting close. Wish I'd worn one of my suits. Tell me you have an idea?"
" The idea is for you to die, Jason Dexter." Replied another voice from the doorway. the Nullifier stood there, with an ausault rifle of some sort in his arms. " Where is the other one?"

Alice immediately whirls around and attempts to use her TK to knock the rifle out of Nullifier's hand. (strike: 19+3=22) To Jason, she simply says "Nothing very original, but it usually works out ok in the end."

Even as the rifle was flung from his hands, Nullifier chuckled. " So that is how you drove off the croc, Dexter has himself a mindwitch. Tsk tsk, those tricks won't work on my backup plan." He opened his coat to reveal a vest packed with explosives." And I wouldn't try tinkering with it, unless you want to cause an accident." He grinned, motioning towards the chairs. " Lets have a seat first, won't we? Your brother can drop his weapon and join us from the other room if he likes."

" Why, I thought it was obvious? " The Nullifier smirked as Tyler came out of the next room, unarmed. " I want these two to suffer for the pains they caused me. and since I have nothing else left but my vengence, it will be sweet."

Alice sighs quietly as she slowly moves to sit down. She didn't know anything about explosives and worried that if she tried to tamper with it psychically she would blow them all up. She glances over at Tyler and Jason, hoping one of them had any kind of a plan to try to get them out of there in one piece.

Jason was a wreck as he sat close enough to hold Alice. She could feel him trembling slightly in the grips of his fear. Tyler on the other hand,was defiant. " I have a better idea. Let the kids go and we'll settle this ourselves since I'm the one you're looking for. I was with Dad the day you got caught. Jason had nothing to do with it." He had a glum look, but his tone was clearly serious.

Alice leans back into Jason, resting her hands on his in an attempt to be comforting as she looks over to Tyler in alarm, hoping this was some kind of plan to lure Nullifier into a false sense of security so she and Jason could get away and help him from afar.

The satellite phone began to ring, causing Jason to jump a bit. It startled Null too, by his reaction as he retrieved his weapon. Tyler's eyes narrowed, " If one of them doesn't answer that, our friends in the city will be coming and know you're here."
Null thought about it for a moment, then motioned at Alice," Answer it girl, but no funny business."

Alice jumps as the phone rings and tenses up, nodding as she slowly gets up to answer the sat phone. As she walks toward it, she frantically tries to think of way to try to convey what was going on to whoever was calling them without Null knowing what she was doing.
