Shep smirked at Sam, but shot a glare in Mar's direction as she demanded to know about Gantry as Daryn replied. " He's gone. Haven't heard his crud for a couple days now. In fact we haven't seen anyone for days now. They just shut us with enough food and water to last a while. It's like they ran away."
" Or knew we were coming." Shep grumbled, starting for the curtained room with Rhys. Pulling back the curtain, his heart dropped as he saw Mikey on a cot, most of his cybernetics stripped away and hooked to an ancient medical monitor. He spoke lowly. " Oh Mikey, what have they done to you?"
The trucks seem to be in good repair and start easily when Dyson tries it.

"Don't flatter yourself, Shep." Mary says. "They were after troops and military supplies." And she helps the others to get out. "Hell... they probably only left the token resistance to make us think we were fighting our way in."
She looks around. "And you coming, was a given. Steal your best friend, and the town you care about? Sure, you'ld come, maybe alone, hence the token bots. I'm wondering about their dragon protector, myself."

Rhys shakes his head upon seeing Mikey's condition. "Damn that's just plain wrong." He clicks over to his radio. "Private Malachai I suggest you hurry and bring those trucks over here, it seems that your medical expertise maybe needed." Rhys looks about the room to see if Mikey's cybernetics/bionics were left. (not that he thinks they were he's just being thorough)

Ellie starts one of the trucks and heads to the enterance of the building. "on my way" Ellie says at Rhys' suggestion. Parking the truck she heads back inside to see if she can help Mikey. As she approaches she is slightly take back by the sight of Mikey. Touching his forehead she enters her trance. Her mind is flooded with all the imperfections in his body do to the removal of the cybernetics. (6 melees of meditationso 1 and 1/2 minutes, 4 ISP)

Sam looks over and winces at the sight of Mikey, wondering how anyone could do something like that. She then starts to lead the prisoners into the back of the truck, looking around to see if there are any incoming troops.

Lyna looks up from attending another prisoner, and nearly threw herself at Shep. " I knew Gantry was lying, Carson. He said you had died in Westvale."
" Not for a lack of trying." Shep replied, comforting her in his arms and giving Mar an awkward glance and spoke lowly. " Can we fight later? I'm really not in the mood."
Lyna, catching the tone and the look, turned to Mar and Sam. " Koor was gone. A squad of Sam's did a flyby and lured him off an hour before the attack. That was the last we saw of him."
Ellie's probing quickly determines that the machines Mikey are hooked to are the only things keeping him alive. A look at the other bunks in the makeshift ward tells a similar tale of the other missing soldiers the squad had been looking for.
Outside, as he lept down from the truck, Dyson motioned to Lobo to get him to look at something acrossed the compound. Two leashed animals prowled back and forth silently in front of a small out biulding.

Ellie looks to the Lt. "Ma'am, If you plan on moving moving Mikey I will have to perform a quick surgery to remove these machines and heal him. Also I will have to heal the others." Ellie points around the room at the other soldiers. "I can try to heal them enough for the trip but I can not guarantee their survival."

A dark look passes over Sam's face, but it's gone before anyone can decipher it. Nodding at Ellie, she says "Do what you need to. We'll try to make them as comfortable as possible during the trip. If possible, bring any equipment you feel you will need. Let me know when they can be safely transported to the truck." With that, Sam helps Mary move people out to the vehicles.

Once Sam makes it to Mary, Mary says. "You know, with the base this empty, we could safely call in an air-lift. Or else at least call one in when we're a safe distance. I'm going to make sure that no-one comes in through the tunnel, if that's OK with you, Ma'am."

Lobo nods at Dyson when he indicates the two animals prowling around the building. Lobo slings his rifle and readies his forearm weapon system as he heads over to investigate the dogs. He approaches the closest one to see if it decides to attack or run.

Closing, Lobo soon realizes his mistake. The animals are really some sort of dog sized robot with a rail gun for a body and tethered by a ammo feed to a supply. Both of them focus on his approach, their weapons tracking his approach.
Behind Ellie, Shep's radio comes to life. " Something funky's going on Shep. Their right on top of the base, but they've stopped. It's like they're waiting on you."
" I copy, get out of here while you can." He replied, heading after Sam.
" Gotcha, good luck Shep." Janie replied.
Finding Sam, he repeated the message.

Ellie performs a "healing touch" on the wounded soldiers and Mikey (4 total?). Mikey 8 HP, the other soldiers 4, 6, 3, and 7 Hit Points. (24 ISP Total). As they begin evacuating the injured Ellie will supervise and help them (Paramedic 07/60%).

Mary Gets an incindiary grenade, and opens the hatch to the tunnel in the guard house. Arming the grenade, and dropping it in, she yells. "Fire in the hole!" Slamming the door shut, and locking it, she runs for the hills, to use a metaphor.
