Alice is looking like she is struggling to keep her temper as she says in a loud voice "No!" Turning to Sierra and Kristian, she says to both of them in a very firm tone of voice, "I need to know this kind of information! What in the hell spooked him so much? Tell me. NOW!"

" Yeah, I suppose." Kristian replied. " Sorry Alice. It's a guy who was at the cfight club where Avi got the stuffing knocked out of him." He passed over Sierra's papers. " Somehow he could block out our powers, which is why Avi was worse than he wants to admit. Once the field dropped, his healing kicked in with a little help from us. It guy who he was forced in the ring with was some kind of pro fighter, and took Avi apart until he used his powers to win. don't know what they did to make him fight, but I'd lay money it had something to do with the woman he was with."
" She's a meta like the rest of you." Janie added in." Dmitri and I went to her bar last night."
Ashley motioned for Alice to look towards the windows. Whoever Jason was talking to, the conversation was getting animated.

' .. a picture' *Sierra stammers out finally after nearly jumping out of her seat 'just a picture of some guy that cut our powers at the club ... '
*she swallows then hands her papers over 'here's a write up of what we did .. to get Avi back safely. i don't know who it is .. but it has him spooked. excuse me .. that's my report .. let me know when the debriefings over and want to yell .. the gym is good for that. i'm going up to my room now, excuse me .. i don't think i have anything else to offer this discussion now .. '
*then she moves out the door and heads upstairs. she isn't running away .. its a stratigic retreat for now.

" Sierra..." Kristian sighed and got up to follow her and caught Sierra in the hallway. He grabbed her by the hand. " Come back and sit down. We have to finish this, then you and I can go for a walk on the beach, okay?" He was already pulling her back towards the meeting.
Ashley couldn't help but smirk," Now i know why Tyler always used to do this over pizza and beer. It distracted us." She looked at Tom and Solomon," Beleive it or not, this could be going alot worse."

Alice smiles weakly and fights the urge to just run out of the room and get the hell out of there. 'I have no business doing this' she thinks to herself, picking up what Sierra had written and reads it. Looking alarmed she tells the others, "There's someone who can cancel meta's powers. That's scary." She then passes it around so everyone else can read it, sitting down quietly.

Ashley's attempts at levity faded," Wait a minute. This guy can cancel our powers, just like that Cure drug. Maybe there's a connection." she looked around. " It's no weirder than being attacked by zombies."

*Sierra just looks at Kristian .. opens the mouth to say something, then closes it and follows along as she's pulled back. the walk on the beach intrigues her now.
*sitting down she puts her hands on the lap and stares at the table. glancing at Kristian she finally gives in to a smile 'k .. this time maybe .. ' *she just wonders when the others were going to tell about their experiences on the 'mission'.
'still can't believe she died once. i know Avi almost did this time .. never saw him so still on the tri..ip back .. ' *goes quiet and looks at the table again. her feet doing the childlike 'whoops' toe rubbing now even as she bits her lower lip to stop from saying more

Solomon was about to answer Sierra's question when he was cut off by Alice's outburst. he merely observes and waits for things to settle back down before attempting to answer again. "it's actually fairly easy to keep tabs. our ... ah, fraternity, for lack of a better word is a rather small one. it generally takes years of training and tutelage to master even the most basic fundamental and rudimentary forms of our art. it would be very difficult for someone to learn on their own. Fielder was one of us at one point, but apparently went rogue."

Isamu noticed Jason's look when looking at the paper, before he left. Turning to Kristian he said, "it would have to be drugged to incapacitate them. The question is, was he working alone, or did he have assistance. I would think he would have to in order to move them both."
Isamu squeezed Ashley's hand in return.
"Professor, do you think he was working in conjunction with others, or independently. Is the situation today part of a larger conspiracy?"

Alice nods quietly at Janie. "From the way he reacted, you're probably right." She then waits for Solomon to answer Isamu's question before describing what they had seen at the hospital.
Alice glances outside to where Ashley is gesturing and wonders who Jason is talking to and if she should go out there to make sure he is o.k. Sighing to herself, she figures there isn't any point until after his phone conversation is done and tries to focus on what is going on in front of her.

"I saw him pay off another large man with giant clawed hands who obviously assisted with the abduction in my vision, but when I asked him to identify his accomplices under the effects of my spell, he somehow resisted, which shouldn't have been possible. I suppose with his mental discipline and training, he could have somehow twisted the meaning of my inquiry, which again, should not have been possible. the incantation I used should have completely subverted his will and made him totally compliant. perhaps it was just the wording I chose and the subjective limitations of the spell. I find it generally works best to be short and concise, but perhaps I left too much open to interpretation on Fielder's part."

Tom perks an eyebrow. "Ok, that sounds like someone we already know. So, if I've got this straight, we've got connections between the Mayor, who may or may not be a meta; that gang of metas you guys were talking about; an underground fight ring with a guy who can block and/or neutralize powers; and 'dark wizards'" Tom says the last two words with some degree of derision. "Yeah, I'd say we have problems. This probably will need some kind of co-ordinated response. Do we have any kind of connections or contacts other than this government group you guys are hooked up with?"

*she closes her eyes and lets her ability drift out and then downward to the stranger in the cells. she checks to see if HIS aura/power reading is the same or similar to what she felt coming from the morgue.
