Isamu cringes as Alice blows up at Sierra. He says nothing and tries not to show that he is upset about the way things are being handled. He squeezes Ashley's hand under the table, then withdraws his hand from hers. He folds his hands together on the table in front of him. He says, "Sierra, if you want to see him I am sure that Janie can pull up his photo for you. Professor what exactly did you see at the Mayor's office?"

To those watching, the conversation ends with Jason just stopping himself from drifting the phone out onto the beach, and then sitting down on the stairs. He lookied in once with the same worried face and then turned back while dialing again.
Sierra could tell it was the same person from the morgue.
" Tom's right. We have big problems." Ashley agreed. " Big claws means Deth and the Brethren are involved, but they'll do anything for enough money. Janie, any chance Dylin can free up some help for us?"
Janie shook her head. " Already asked when he let that message for Is. The other teams have their own problems right now with that breakout on Gramercy Island."
" What message?" Ashley turned to Isamu.

Isamu was hoping the topic of his message from Dylin wouldn't come up at the debriefing table. "A seemingly unrelated matter," he says hoping to turn the topic back to the matter at hand.
"With no help coming from McCoulter we will need to reach out locally. Alice perhaps we should reach out to Tyler. Hopefully he will be available should the need arise."

*Sierra's eyes open in a flash even as she shudders 'ew ew ew .. that's the same creepy guy from the morgue .. look out for that nasty thing he had .. its gotta be about somewhere' *she shudders as if shaking off spiders, but the fear is real as she looks about under the table and at doorways before calming down slightly.
'sorry .. same creepy chanty feeling from before .. but no icky thing that attacked the elevator. i don't need to see him .. i don't think .. unless he has a twin or a body double. is that possible? what was the ME's name on duty at the morgue?' *she looks at Kristian. he can feel her scales shifting with agitation as she sits there. her head moves now and again looking for places that thing could hide in.
'cause at the morgue .. i didn't feel the icky bad thing .. but as we were leaving he sent it after us. what if he or it could sense we were Meta's? .. could he have a way of detecting us? .. do you?' Looks at Solomon again. then gets an idea and looks at Alice 'go in my mind .. i'll think on that feeling in the elevator and maybe you can describe it better? or at least understand my fear of it'
'os sorry .. i'll shut up now' *but is keeping her senses alert for that 'thing' from before. she didn't like it then and she still doesn't like it, but trut to her word .. she is remembering that elevator incident, in case Alice takes the time to look and see

answering Isamu's question first "it's a bit difficult to describe, but the mayor is more than he seems. to answer the young lady's question" indicating Sierra "yes, in a sense. I can normally read a person's aura, but when I tried to read the mayor, it was like looking into a void. I found it quite unsettling even for me"

Alice nods at Solomon. "When I tried to read the mayor's mind, it was like I was being blocked somehow. What's worse is that he seemed to know that someone was trying to do that, though it didn't appear that he knew it was me. Just that someone was trying to look into his mind."
Alice nods quietly at Sierra and says "I can do that, if you are ok with that idea." Assuming Sierra is ok with it, she will use her telepathy to scan her surface thoughts in regards to what happened on the elevator.

Avi paused for a moment, " I better get back. The other's are pissed enough as it is. Can I get a raincheck for that drink?" He smirked. As Alice read Sierra's thoughts ( GM note: I wouldn't touch that mind  ) , Jason slipped back in the house and retook his seat, trying to hide whatever was bothering him. He still had the phone in his hand. Ashley looked around at the others," I think we're gonna need a strong case before we try messing with the mayor, especially since he has Wraith and his goons on his side. We better focus somewhere's else for now." " Professor," Kristian asked," what kind of creature could Fielder have sent after us like that? It was certainly faster than anything we saw tonight." |

"Sure," Sasha said sliding out of the car. "You know where to find my bar." She barely paused as she walked away from Avi and the car and into her bar.
"I suppose I'll need to give Nicholas this money so that him and his girlfriend won't panic about paying bills," she thinks to herself while pulling out her cellphone from her purse. Her hand brushing by Avi's gun as she does so. "And give Avi his gun back."

*the walk to the morgue is there .. the brief 'chat' inside the morgue .. but it is on the way back and nearly in the elevator that the super creepy icky BAD thing shows up and heads their way. right up to the time if 'attacks' the elevator door is there in bright detail. the way the senses had picked it up and tracked it to the door and the speed it moved, unnerving.
even recalling it in detail is enough for the scales to lift and slide about. she doesn't bet goosebumps, she gets active scales. and they are 'active'
her eyes open 'ew .. that totally creeped me out the first time .. and remembering it now? .. even worse. like .. ew .. ' *she rubs the arms rapidly to remove the icky creepy feeling.
'did you get it all?' *looking at Alice now

"Nicholas is going to make a full recovery," Sasha said. "Though I'm unsure how soon he will be showing up to work. If you like you can visit him tomorrow, I plan on dropping by and giving him his check tomorrow as well."
