Balus got himself a generous helping of food and purposely sat away from everyone else. If there were sides being taken up, he didn't want to make any decisions yet. He took a seat at an empty table near the middle of the room and began to eat.

Solaxis nodded at Von with a faint smile. "good, I'm glad we understand each other. I'll leave you to rest then. be back in a few hours." as he headed out touring and getting the 'lay of the land', as it were, using his heightened alien senses to make mental note of anything unusual or out-of-the-ordinary.

(Kiadan)
You recognize it as some kind of spaceship, very large, but you'll have to cross-referene with the Ship's database to type-match it (roll computer Operation and programming).
(Balus)
You sit and have your meal in relative peace, although you do see Solaxis stride by, and can hear a few cutting barbs about Bhlazes in general from some of the Epoch Riders
(Solaxis)
You tour some of the non-restricted areas of the ship, and there isn't much to report, as you pass the commissary, you see that there seems to be unofficial cliques forming within the ship community already: The Epoch Riders are apart from the rest, as are many, if not all of the Bio-Freaks, particularly the more monstrous among them.

Scowling as he was finishing up, Balus had to hold back cutting in to the other bio-freaks conversation. The last thing he wanted was a confrontation with any of the Riders if he could avoid it.

as Solaxis continues his tour, he makes mental notes of key areas of the ship, medical, technical, commons, communications, research, security, etc.

Taking the information Kiadan's body positively vanishes as she moves to a computer and begins furiously clicking on the machine with her taloned claws and tail. "I believe this to be the designs of a space craft. Large in body and design." Computer Operation: 61% (pass) Computer Programing: 51% (pass)

(Kiadan)
You recognize it as a Killcarrier: the Tarlok's main fighter launcher vehicle. But you can also tell modifications have been made to the structure to accomodate something other than the standard Killcarrier fighter. Roll on your skills to figure out what the modifications are.
(Solaxis)
The ship has an impressive set of sensory devices, as well as highly efficient systems. The Star Drive is gravimetric; a bit weak by most standards but an impressive start. The weapon systems and sections dealing with security are restricted so you cannot get through.
(Balus)
You get through the rest of your lunch without incident.

finishing up. Balus disposed of his tray, and as he passed the bio-freaks that had heckled Solaxis, he interrupted," You might want to show a little respect for the ambassador. Blhaze are capable of doing things none of us can even consider, and if the Tarlok show up, we may need him to prove it."

(All)
You feel a slight lurch and those of you by windows see the ship pull away of its moorings.
(Balus)
The Epoch riders snicker, but otherwise don't reply.

Solaxis heads back to the state room to check on Von and see if she wants to accompany him before heading back to the bridge.

As Kiadan feels the ship lurch suddenly she looks around, having been floating aloft by her wings she didn't move a whole lot but it's made her type several wrong strings.
"Damn," she mutters. "The designs are a ship. A Killcarrier, heavily modified obviously," she goes on. She peers at the design and then to the computer she's working on. "Someone tell them to stop moving the ship so I can concentrate."

Balus had to keep himself in check. Calmly, he looked at them, " I didn't realize I'd said anything funny." He left without waiting for a reply, intent to familiarize himself with the ship a little before going on duty.

(Balus)
You walk around the areas of the ship you have authorization for before reporting at a briefing room near the starboard fighter bay. Major Trokyr is waiting near the podium. The rest in the room appear to be enlisted men like you, a diverse set of superpowered, norms, and biofreaks, about a dozen in all. Most of them appear to be veterans, and have prominent scars and tattoos.
(Solaxis)
Von accompanies you to the bridge, as you make the journey deeper into the solar system, at relativistic velocities. The first officer is not on the deck, and the Captain looks over his crew and monitors them with military precision.
(Kiadan)
The modificications are to launch what appears to be dozens, if not hundreds, of long range ballistic missiles, with a warhead configuration you don't recognize, but that you figure one of your underlings might.

before entering the bridge, Solaxis requests permission from the Captain as a show of respect "I hope we're not intruding?"

"Interesting," Kiadan muses. "What is the purpose of firing multiple warhead missiles over one powerful one?" she muses. Turning to her underlings she smirks. "It's a warship design to overwhelm their foes. This weapon," she points at it. "Does anyone recognize it or its configuration?"
