The PCs, as well as several other soldiers, scientists, and diplomats (including Solaxis' assistant Von) are being strapped into a convoy shuttle that is about to be launched to the Victory under deep secrecy for a secret first mission before the public unveiling.
The pilot from the forward cabin. "OK people, we're about to be cased and moved into the tube. Be sure you and your crap is strapped in or it's likely going to crack your own stupid skull." as he shuts cabin door.

Already seated and buckled in, Balus had to be careful not to squeeze his grip on the arms of his seat any harder for fear of damaging them. He tried to remain calm, but his nervousness wouldn't let him and had to fold his arms to release his grip. He glanced around at the other passengers, wondering if any of them were as nervous as him.

Kiadan looks disdainfully at the chair she's supposed to be sitting in and sighs landing with all fours on the chair and begins to try to adjust the settings to their smallest setting. "Wouldn't it be simply easier if I invented a machine that displaced molecules? I'm certain the theory is sound... and I'm sure the destruction of one corporal vessel would be fine as long as the other vessel was fully created by the time we got to the other side."

Solaxis takes his seat next to Von. "you know, I'd be just as happy to travel there using my own abilities than this primitive means of transport."

Von responds to Solaxis. "The protocol on the Victory shipyards is pretty clear, sir. They'll shoot down any other craft but these. Nebular once wanted to take a look and the defensive systems nearly blew her out of the sky."
There is a loud CLANK sound as the shuttle stops moving for a moment.
An announcement rings out on the PA system. "Prep for launch. We've been sealed into a giant ferromagnetic shell, and we're about to fired out of a very large railgun, so please hold tight. The G Forces may be uncomfortable for some."
A few minutes later, everyone is thrown back for what seems like forever as the ship accellearates...you hear the shell crack open as you leave the launch tube, and can see out the port windows to see the sky turn from blue to black. Once you do, you all begin to notice the weightlessness.

balus was glad he hadn't eaten before lunch as he was slammed back in his seat. I hate rollercoasters." He managed to say with his eyes closed.

Kiadan's tiny form compressed into the seat and while the acceleration caused her eyes to squint shut her mouth was as busy as always, though in this case none of it was dreadfully intelligent as she attempted to talk through the crushing force of the take off.

"not nearly as impressive as flying into space yourself either. so cold and detached. one day, I will take you on a space walk." Solaxis sat on the inside letting Von have the window seat so she could look out over the planet he's seen so many times from space. he points out the portal making sure she gets a good look at the view and the majesty of seeing the planet from space for the first time.

You hurl past the planet, and the shaking stops...you can feel the shuttle rolling, and as you look out the window, you see a long, cylindrical metal and stone mass; something most of you have only begun getting used to seeing in the night sky; the now mostly emptied and desolate hulk of the Javelin, now the headquarters of Seeron's Space command. You make a few loops around the structure, before you come across an umbilical attached to large space dock and assembly plant containing a smaller spaceship, even as cranes and armatures are detaching from the ship, as it hangs black against the starry sky.

Balus made a point of not looking out the window. He simply looked up at the ceiling of the shuttle," This is not my idea of fun."

"I believe my insides have been completely rendered into organic mush and water," Kiadan says weakly laying on the seat. "As soon as I land I am construction a faster safer and easier means of escape velocity..."

The pod makes it's way into the lower launch bay, and you are all pulled down into your seats by the artificial gravity, although one slightly lower than normal (about 95% of normal gravity). You all disembark to find a Talus woman with a cybernetic left eye in a Sargeant's uniform waiting for you. "Dr. Kiadan, Ambassador Solaxis, you're wanted on the command desk. Specialist, you might as well come too. This way" As she leads you down the corridor, which is surprisingly spacious for a spaceship that you expected to be more cramped.

Used to flying along on her own power the lowered gravity doesn't seem to be of much concerned for her tiny form. She nods as the Talus fixes her with the robotic eye. "I'm positive I will be of little use upon the command deck," she says. "But I suppose it doesn't hurt to see where it is," she says in a bored tone of voice. "And then to my lap."

Balus stepped from the shuttle and was suprised he didn't have to hunch in the corridors. " Wow, how big is this ship?" he asked as he followed along.

Solaxis sat holding his head and rubbing his temples until he realized he was being spoken to. he tried to stand and walk, but seemed a bit shaky at first. steadying himself, he began to walk it off, slowly regaining his composure.
