Rhys checks the position of the SAMAS and if they aren't too close he will move to check the Railguns and see if they are in working order.
(if the Sam's are too close he will stay where he is and radio the positions of the sams and start looking for a way for the squad to make it's escape)

" Pookins?" Shep snarled as he was finally getting free. Only his legs were beneath the rubble. Wobbling a bit, he balanced himself with one hand and tapped against his helmet with the other. " Blasted transmitter must be out. Didn't you all here me telling you to get clear?"
He pulled against the rubble pinnning his left with a strained groan. " I'm not going anywheres. Everyone get clear before those Sams finish their loop. I'll try to keep their attention." He turned his head to Mariana. She could almost feel his glare. " That's an order. "
Shep turned back to the hole and pulled his C-14 from below, looking at the shattered lens of it's scope. " Crud."
Rhys finds the first gun nest is in shambles. The C-40R is blown free of it's tripod and the power pack has been torn free. Before he can reach the second building, the screeh of the SAMAS starts to get louder as they near the end of their loop.

*Mariana looks up at the SAMAS, then the group, then back at Shep* "Understood." *She grunts back* "You and I still need to talk." *She says, walking over to pick up her pack* "Mendez, you know who's sneakin' where, you'll have to take point." *Then on the group's radio channel* "Everyone, We're moving out. Rhys, if there's nothing useful there, leave it... with a grenade if you want. We're leaving Ellie's boy toy with Pookins here. We've been given the order, so lets move."
*She turns and looks back at Shep as she hefts her sack to a comfortable position.* "This had better be worth violating your own orders."

" Yes Mom. " Shep replied as he hunched down in the hole, still struggling to free himself from the rubble.
"Now get out of here, I'll be fine. And quit calling me Pookins, or I'll keep mentioning how much you're like your old man." Despite his comments, his temper is still raging in his tone.

Shep considered replying, but instead picked up a piece of rubble and drifted it at her, but because of his being trapped, he nearly lost his balance and sent the piece of concrete wide over her shoulder. Catching himself, he snarled. " Oh, we'll have that talk allright."

What Shep frees him self Ellie will Jeck his vitals, but seeing the obvious rage he's in knows better then to touch him. "You sure your feeling yourself Sir? You seem a bit confused and angry with us...." Ellie lets it soak in and concentrates on the magical energies of her surroundings (Sense Magic) and looks to Shep to make 100% certain he hasn't been tampered with by Magical means.

Rhys pulls the pin and drops a Plasma grendade in the mess of the junked Railgun and then heads out to meet up with the others a bit down the trail still keeping an eye out on the Sam's.

Mendez moves to cut off the three men trying to surround them. he uses detect evil to keep a fix on them. he signals sergeant smith and dyson to follow. he trys to keep obsticles between him and the targets, and the sams. he keeps signaling smith and dyson the enemy positions and he keeps an eye out for traps.;" rhys, ellie, shep; good hunting, stay alive." he says over the radio.

Shep's head tilted as he looked at Ellie. " How would you feel if a building got dropped on you and I took my time digging you out? Now get out of here, go with the others before... too late." (both see aura and detect magic come up blank, but his answer doesn't quite seem to match up with what she senses with her empathy)
The roar of the SAMAS engines broke over the village as one swooped in low over the battlesite at a fast clip, it's railgun blazing. The shots seemed focused, but they came nowheres near any of the squad despite showering Ellie and Shepherd with debris. It then pulled up and kicked the thrusters up to full throttle.
Despite his effort, the three targets seem to be sensing Col. Mendez's efforts to cut them off by matching his movements without altering their course.
With a grunt, Shep pulls himself free, collapsing at Ellie's feet.

Ellie Helps Shep to his feet again and while she touches him she send a shock of healing psychic eneygy through him (Healing Touch 8Hp or 9SDC). " Honestly Sir, never had a building fall on me" she says with a slight smirk. "But I assure you we didn't take our time getting you out." With that she will help him to cover.
