Mendez continues to try and get a read on mikey as he speaks;" As a soldier of the coalition army it is your duty to obey orders from your senior officer. You don’t have to agree or like it. Not doing so makes you mutinous as well as useless to the team. I promise you, you will be held accountable and dealt with appropriately under military law. *Mariana stops and looks up to Mendez* "Yes, yes it is. You are not, however, my superior officer. As you may recall, my orders, provided to you, are that you shall not impede my own mission. Any order that you give that does so, is, itself, considered mutinous." *Mariana shrugs dismissively, and in a very conversation tone* "But, I'm fine with you bringing me to judgement. I can explain to them how your decision-making skills lead you to use a rocket pack to fly, within a more-or-less dense forest, and pick up someone, who has the ability to run on her own, and thus kill a man you were supposed to rescue." *she shrugs again, and resumes tracking*

"So, you did not pull out a jet-pack in the middle of a forest, pull Ellie away from Salinger, jostling him? Funny... the crater on the forest floor speaks otherwise to that. And, I wasn't transferred to your command. I was... simply sent here."

*Another trip around the blast sight* "Whether you interpret me as twisting facts or stealing your authority to myself only shows how limited you can be. My message to you this morning was quite explicit." *She stands for a second, reading the trail Dyson, Ellie, Mendez and Rhys had made* "You honestly think they would have sent me here if I didn't have a very accurate memory?"

*she then follows the trail with her eyes to where it meets the crater, before moving on.*

Ellie gathers her thoughts and looks to Mendez and Mariana *Wow* she thinks to herself *she picks fights with everyone* Ellie trys to concentrate harder on the pics of Shep and Gantry with all the pickering going on. "Sir, Ma'am, please another time and place." Ellie again concentrates on the pictures as she sits.

Rhys glances to both the Col and Mariana. "As Ellie said, This isn't the time nor place for this. We have a mission to do and this arguing isn't helping. Sgt. Smith, secret mission or not, You are outranked by Colonel Mendez which means that you must follow his orders. It's called chain of command. In the field highest ranking officer is in charge. Especially since the commanding officer originally placed in charge was killed due to his own stupidity. Now let us carry on with our mission."

Col. Mendez- The tracking device implanted in Mikey is giving off odd reading. Moving sporadically on the other side of the village. Definitely not the way Mikey usually moves

Sen's absence- Cut him some slack, Cab. I seem to remember you doing a dissappearing act on us not that long ago...

And BTW, you know it's great when the GM can sit back and watch for a while. Keep it up )

Dyson followed Mendez's order to scan the perimeter, still dealing with the shock of the blast that killed Salinger.

As Sgt. Smith and Mendez argue about who has command of whom Dyson remains quite, trying to do his job. At the mention of demolitions experts Dyson sidles up to Mendez, not looking at him, but out at the forest. Dyson says "Sir, I have demo and demo disposal training. I should have gone in with you, but we needed a perimeter" The guilt is restrained, but present in his voice.

Now speaking to Sgt. Smith Dyson says " Ma'am, as Shep truly pointed out, there is no one else out here except hostiles, and no one is coming to get us any time soon. Unless you want to try to find your way out of this place by yourself, there aren't a lot of other choices besides working with the Col..

*Mariana continues for a few more steps, stops... and looks up at Dyson. Wordlessly, she looks from Rhys, to Ellie, to Mendez, then back to Dyson.* "OK." *she says, lightly.*

*She then proceeds into the forest. (Considering the successful roll, I figure she's off on the trail of them bringing Salinger to the trap site, cause they would be laden, and prefer a shorter, more direct trip from base.*

*About 50 feet in, she stops and turns* "Anyone else coming?"

*If anyone comes, she'll wait until they catch up. Otherwise, she'll continue on her own.*

Ellie sits there for a second, then she taps the mini comp against her palm. "Ummm, Sir. I think something is wrong with the computer you gave me. I can't seem to bring up any picture of Lt. Gantry." Ellie trys to restart the computer. Again with the same error, "Sir, its saying file not found..." Ellie has a puzzled look on her face. "Do any of you have any computer knowledge? Sorry to say, but mine is minimal." Ellie taps the comp. against her palm again. "Oh, but Sir Shep is ok. He's in a hurry... and for some reason I have a feeling he being followed... I didn't see anyone, but I have this feeling." Ellie stands up and walks over to Mendez "Have a look." She hands him the mini comp.

Mendez takes the mini comp from ellie;" I'll have to check it out a little later private, right now i think mikey is in trouble. Smith mark the trail so you can pick it up again. then then take point, we are going to get mikey." points in the direction mikey's signal is comming from. "Double time it people!"

( didn't mean to sound like i was getting after sen. just wondering what was up. sorry sen hope i didn't offend.)

*Mariana grunts at Mendez. Maybe you should leave him be. He might just survive that way.*

*At the demand she mark the trail, Mariana pulls out her pistol, and carelessly shoots down three trees in a line* "There. Marked. This way, tomorrow, I can find as far as I've gotten, as the rest of the trail will be gone by then. But, hey. what do I know? I'm just a trained wilderness ranger." *She shrugs, as she walks past mendez. Then, suddenly stops, whirls, snaps to attention, and salutes Mendez.* "Sniper check!"

*Without waiting for a responding salute, she continues on her way, bee-lining in the direction indicated, deviating as little as possible.*

Dyson moves out with the Col., beginning to huff again as the pace quickens.

Rhys follows the Mendez Ellie and Dyson taking up rear guard. Keeping all his senses alert as he moves to make sure nothing is following them.
