Flip finishes with the nav plan to the moon. Turning to Mensk he says, "anyway you can squeeze some more power out of the engines I'd like to know we have the speed should we need to get away from some unwanted visitors."

Looking at the scans showed that, unfortunately, the only ways to get extra speed are to run hot (always bad since it risks breakdown, or, in the case of a rocket ship, as-PLOSHUN!), or to replace the engines. Otherwise, the engines would simply need to be monitored to ensure the mix is right, and the system is running smoothly.
Oh, also, the ship's maximum specified speed is damn fast to begin with, so a trip to the moon is not a hardship.
Foreman notices that the trip to the moon might also include a minor slingshot around the Earth, if properly planned, though, if botched, could add time to the trip... hmmm... thinking time!

Jessica pays the vendor for the medical supplies that they were able to acquire and thanks him with a polite smile. Turning to McKenna, she says "Anything else we need to do before we head back to the ship?"

After taking the money, the Laikan trader fellow points them to where they can obtain the supplies, and then moves on to the next customer.
(On the Bridge)
About an hour later, Tawfeek returns, still in his space suit. "Foreman, is the course set? Mensk, how are the engines?" As he waits for the responses, he also calls out to McKenna and Stephens. "Stephens, report."

"Engines look good. I'll be monitoring from down in the engine room soon as we launch. Did we find any work here?" he asked as started to set up the engineering station for automated monitoring.

" Nope, I think thats... oh, check it out." McKenna said as she looked past Jessica walked over to pick up a handheld device. " Wow, these are great little rigs. Does most of any primary survey for you at the press of a button. We used to have them on the shuttles, but I've never seen one on the shelf like this before. Too bad I'd never convince captain it was worth the credits." She put the device back on the shelf.

"You two coming? Or am I leaving you behind?" Tawfeek asks over the comm. "We have clearance in 20 minutes be there, or find another ride home."
As he does, the Laikan supply trolley arrives.

Dissappointed the device didn't work, McKenna scowled at the captain's message and spoke lowly to Jess, " Does he have any endearing qualities besides his friendly disposition?"

Tawfeek nodded, not really looking annoyed that McKenna and Stephens were late. "We did find cargo. Well, I had the cargo list before I docked on Freedom. I'm not going to run this by the seat of my pants." He said. "Head to the bridge now. I want to release and get out of here as soon as the women get done their shopping."
Turning to Dome, he looks over the map. Sighing he says, "The cargo won't survive the acceleration of a slingshot. We may need to keep this in mind later on. Hopefully won't have to make up the hours."
