Tom sighs "Too bad. I'd like to know what they are up to. Times like this, an engineering background instead of a general science one would be handy. OK, so back to the beach house then?"

*Sierra laughs at that comment, her good humor returned and the 'nasty' out of the mind. 'not soft soft .. just out of shape soft. jeez .. what did you think?'
*she finally turns her head to address Trevor and the others 'oh .. don't forget, give Alice more upport. she's always moping about. maybe some flowers or a pat on the shoulder? i'm sure its hard on her having to be our ringleader .. =p .. maybe one of you can take her out for .. say a cuppatea?'
*she gives an impish grin and then proceeds to do cartwheels out of the aqueduct, with a few back-flips added in for good measure. not showing off but working out the muscles. once outside, she pauses then does a back bendover and then proceeds to move about on the hands.

Isamu walks with Ashley towards the vehicle. At Trevor's comment he says, "Although the number of possible mutations can be astronomical, with the number of people exhibiting powers increasing, the likelihood of someone else having a similar if not exact ability is also increasing. While it does not happen often it should not be surprising."
Once at the vehicle he says, "I think it is time we all depart."
(ooc: I thought I had placed Ashley in the vehicle already.)

Avi got into the driver's seat and started the vehicle, and trevor and Brittney got into Tyler's car. Trevor grinned, looking out the window," Thanks for the save, maybe someday things will change and we can actually work together."
" Don't hold your breath." Ashley replied as the classic camaro sped off. " Don't waste your time trying to outthink the Brethren, Tom. They're nothing but a bunch of goons that hire themselves out to whoever will pay them."
" You would know." Avi said under his breath, and Ashley cuffed him hard.
" I heard that, you jerk." She said to his grin. " And I wasn't with them very long before I saw them for what they are."
Kristian motioned towards the waiting car." I don't think you're out of practice, Si, but we better get in or they'll leave us behind. And I don't want to walk."

* Si gives a grin and then heads to the waiting car. walking hand in hand [VERY carefully i might add .. silly eggshell lesson] with Kristien.
'so you think ... it can wait .. ' *then gets into the car and settles back and seems to contain her comments and actions while the vehicle drives .. remaining deep in thought for now and then looks at Ashley 'hey Ash? .. you got a suit i can get an idea of how they are supposed to fit? ... i got some left over material, and figured that maybe i could .. you know .. try to fit in when its beach time or something .. ?'
*she stares straight ahead now and realizes she's staring in the rearview mirror and looks down at hte folded fingers in her lap

'but i'm not planning on going IN the water. figured i'ld be like everyone else at the beach. sit pretty on the towel and soak up the rays ... besides IF i went back in, i'm sure a shark would come at me again .. and this time? .. i'ld be able to throw it on the beach and whack on it a couple of times'
*then to Ashley 'thanks. would appreciate the help, that way if you saw some material you liked or something from a magazine. you could show me and i could try to make something similar. wont be an exact copy, but close enough. used to sewing with stretchy material ... and doing sequins if they were needed'
*she hopes that Tom won't be asking any other questions. she really doesn't want to be included into a 'story'. 'please don't include me into your stories. i like my privacy ... '

The trip home went by quickly, and Avi stopped out front. As everyone else got out, Ashley waved to Tom, " Thanks again. Come play anytime."
Kristian, with his arm around Sierra, shook his head as he opened the door," Is, you gonna let your girl flirt like that, mon?"
" Sierra, I think you need to keep your little island boy in line." Ashley teased

Avi returned with Tom's camera and wheelchair, which he put in the back. He handed off the camera, " Allright, so you live near Tyler's right?" He asked as he pulled away, already heading in that direction. " So, I'm guessing you've got a million more questions bottled up. So you might as well start before you explode."

"I do not believe she was attempting to flirt at all. I believe that she was simply extending an offer for Tom to join us again at another occasion. I agree, he was a great asset. Also Kristian, I apologize for having to hit you so hard while we were in the tunnel."

*then she moves at a quick pace into the house and then up the stairs and closes her door quietly and sits on the porch .. and wonders about a few things. she then decides that now would be a good time to start her training. and goes to get changed .. with the curtains closed so as to not have anyone watching her.

Kristian sighed as Sierra made her escape. He was about to follow, and Ashley stopped him. " give her some space to sort things out. I'll let you boys talk." and Ashley took her leave.
Kristian shrugged," No harm done, Is. you did what you had to stop them. But how to keep that from happening again, mon?"

Tom shrugs. "Really, not that much. I mean, I could ask about your histories or whatnot, but I'd rather learn that over time. But if you want to talk, compare notes, I'm all ears."
