"Well, what happens," Begins Eleutheroi, "Is that when a man and a woman love each - ouch!" He glares at Moltavious.
"We didn't know. No-one knew. It was a scandal for the Coopers, so they kept it quiet." Moltavious said. "Also, Coop, given your family background, you'll forgive me if I'm watching you a little closer."

Sarah glares at Eleutheroi, not amused by what he was saying. Turning to her father, she says "That's what I'm talking about. What family background? How does it tie into the whole Slayer legacy?" She looks anxious as she asks "It doesn't mean we're.... related, are we?"

"I'm sure Coop or Bianca, is it? They could fill you in more. All I remember are vague references to Golayus [whom Sarah would know from history] and him being Coop's great-grandfather or something." Moltavious answers. "Tobrias has probably had them running around looking into it already."

Coop nodded. " We did, that's how I met Bianca in the first place. She did all the work." He turned to Sarah, " No we're not related. That's not funny to even think about."

Sarah nods at Coop. "I know." She replies "It's just a lot to take in." She smiles weakly "A lot to get used to."

" I know. I think you said something like that already." Coop replied softly with a forced smirk, trying to hide that Sarah's lack of enthusiam hurt. He fought off the urge to excuse himself from the table. Instead, he picked at his plate, which held considerably less than normal for him.

Looking at her mother, Sarah looks uncertain. "I.. well, I wanted to have some time with Coop, just the two of us." She looks over at him, noticing his lack of an appetite and worries that she had upset him and isn't sure how to fix it.

Bianca eats with gusto as she tries to avoid answering the question of relations between Cooper and Sarah. She doesnt think they are closely related and she doesnt believe the dinner table to be a good time to point out that everyone is likely related if you go back far enough in geneaologies.... fifth cousins twice removed or some such nebulous description. She was about to offer to roll out her notes after dinner but she checked herself as the conversation turned to where to spend the night.
She turns to Sarahs father, studies his face a moment to try to gauge him, ¨Do you have any other children? Does Sarah have brothers or sisters.¨It seems a big house for just one child.

At Bianca's question, Marsha, Sarah's mother quietly puts her fork down and looks. Moltavious, slowly turns his head at her.
"Well." Eleutheroi says, to Bianca. "I think we've taken enough of the family time, Bee. Let's get moving." And he all but drags her out of the house.

Coop looked up from prodding at his own meal at Eleutheroi's abrupt departure and could tell something was wrong. With a muted tone he asked, " Did you want me to leave too?"

"No, Coop." Moltavious says. "Marsha, if you'll excuse us." He says, softly.
Marsha gets up. without a word. "I'll go make tea." She says, covering her escape.
After she 's gone, Moltavious looks at Coop and Sarah. "We're all equal at this table." He says. "And we've all seen the dome visions, by now."
(Out the house)
Eleutheroi walks Bianca to the car. "I can drop you off at your place, if you want."

Sarah nods at her father and then turns to Coop. "What is going on with you?" she asks quietly. "You're acting like someone took your favourite toy away." To her father, she says "Sorry, Dad. I just need to get this out in the open and taken care of now."

Moltavious nods, turning to Coop for his answer. He seemed a little less like Daddy, and more like an experienced professional in their line of work.

" Nothing's wrong." Coop replied, a little defensively. " It just seemed like a sticky subject and not something that concerned me was all. I know alot happened for you to try to catch up on while you were gone, but I guess it just bugged me a little because I find out that thanks to my grandmother, or grand grandmother or whoever it was, sleeping around with this Golayus guy, it turns out I'm part of the Dercree lineage and I thought you'd be happy. Instead, you come acrossed like it bugs you that your not the only one anymore." He pushed his now cold half eaten meal away and folded his arms, quietly wishing he'd kept his mouth shut.
