CH 8: Lost and Found

[Mierin]

Sarah follows everyone inside quietly and once the curtains are closed and the lights are dimmed, Sarah slowly takes off the cloak and waves at her parents. Smiling quietly, she says "Hi."

[Renekin Skywalker]

Sarah found herself locked in her sobbing mother's arms long before the cloak even reached the ground.

[Mierin]

Sarah returns her mother's hug. "Hi Mom." she says with a small smile. "I missed you too."

[dakota]

Coop stood back a bit aside Bianca with his arms folded infront of him and a satisfied grin as he watched Sarah and her mother.

[Renekin Skywalker]

"Oh, you're safe, I'm so happy!" Her mother said. "I was so worried."

Eventually, Moltavious had made his way over, hugging as well. He looked so tired, and just gave her a big hug.

[Mierin]

Sarah continues to hug her mom. "I know. I'm ok, though. Safe and sound." Sarah gives her dad a hug and says "Hey Dad. How're you doing?"

Eventually, Mrs. Lockheart lets go. "Oh, my! I should go make some dinner." She says, bustling to the kitchen.

"Well..." Says Moltavious. "I've been better. I guess you haven't heard of what happened when you left?"

[Mierin]

Sarah looks concerned as she asks "A little bit. What are you talking about?"

Bianca listens closely, also wondering what happened since Sarah left. She is still smiling after watching the tearful reunion, glad that everyone is happy.

[Renekin Skywalker]

"Well." Her father says, getting bashful. "I may have channelled the city's energy and consciousness directly and used it to destroy a hotel. Maybe."

[Mierin]

Sarah frowns as she asks "What do you mean?" She sighs knowingly "Oh, you mean after that demon hit me with.. what was that he hit me with and what was it?" She looks questioningly at her Dad and over at Eleutheroi.

[Renekin Skywalker]

"It was a C'Ro Demonmage." Eleutheroi says. "And it isn't much of anything anymore. We don't know what spell it was, but I suspect it was a teleportation spell of some kind. Also, you should have seen your father. I haven't seen that kind of violence since my internship."

Moltavios grimmaces. "I would rather not be compared to a Raider squad. Thank-you." He turns and moves slowly. "Now, if you'll excuse the old man, I think your mother needs help in the kitchen." And he turns to slowly walk.

[Mierin]

Sarah stops her dad and gives him a hug. "I can understand why it happened." she says softly "if it had hit you, I probably would have reacted the same way." Letting her dad go to the kitchen, she nods at Eleutheroi "It was a teleportation spell. I was found in a field aways out of town. By the time I woke up, I was mostly healed, though I had no memory."

Eleutheroi looks over at Bianca. "So, when do we get to meet your parents?" He asks. "Do they cook, too?"

Sarah's mother, Marsha came in with dishes. "Come help your mother, dear. And you can tell me where you got that tattoo."

Moltavious chuckles. "What tattoo?" He turns and looks at Sarah. "You got a tattoo? Where? I can't see one. Where did you see it?" He asks Marsha.

Marsha slap Moltavious's hand away. "A mother knows. Come, dear." And she drags Sarah into the dining room. "Well?" She asks, motherly, in the tone that indicates she's waiting for the facts before she decides she approves.

[Mierin]

Sarah blinks in surprise 'How in the hell...' she wonders to herself as her mother tries to drag her into the kitchen. She shows her dad the tattoo, and says "I was kind of in this limbo for awhile, and Torran gave me a tattoo so we could defeat a maggot. Like I said, it's a long story."

Once she's in the dining room, she explains to her mother "It's a magical tattoo, mom. It helps me control the wind, and do some other magical things. It takes a lot of magical energy for me to activate though. It really really hurt getting it. Doesn't really make me want to get more." she admits quietly.
