As he sits and watches, Kendall sees the regular daily comings and goings. Including the person of interest. Though, he arrived very late in the day.

Kendall notes any vehicles that visitors or residents get in or out of. He writes down license plate numbers. He also writes out a log of activity. He makes note of each person coming and going and what times they move about. His exact reason for doing this is because he saw it on a TV show once. Under his breath to himself he says, "I'm not a freakin detective."

"Neither am I." Says a hooded fellow. "But at least you're moving forward in time."
Kendall's van door closes with the fellow sitting on the seat. "Just a moment ago, I was in a bathroom a few days from now, and now I'm here. Watching you watch."
There is a hint of a snappy red and black mask under his hood. "You will find out who I am after the press release. Unless you already have. It's all weird at the moment."
"In any event, I'm here because the GM's shifting things." He holds out a folder. "Up-to-date images and stuff." He gets out of the car mumbling. "Don't know how I'm going to keep up with the plot if his happens too much..."

"Who the hell are you," Kendall says to the man as he gets into his van. "GM, you mean from like in one of those dungeon and dragon type games? What would a game have to do with me? I never played dungeons and dragons. "
Kendall tenses for a moment preparing to use his built in stun system in his hand on the intruder until the figure hands him the folder. He takes the folder and starts looking through it. "I don't know what the hell is going on, and who you are, but thank you." He is quite pleased since the information will help him move on with his investigation.

Kendall looks over the information and heads for the most recent known address for the target.

The information doesn't look much different. However, the target's name, Newtech, seems the same as well. The fellow being chased - Orvis McPhee - is an engeering student at one of the universities, who seems to be tied up in the Newtech thing. It was his name that was mentioned as being a part of those deaths in the obituaries.

Remembering the name from the newspaper, Kendall logs on to the local papers website and searches the website for the name. When he finds the Obit he reads it and takes notes on the person. As well as the address of the services and family if it is listed.

It was easy to track down the churches where the funerals were, even the one out of town. All of them did come from some advanced engineering school. McPhee was one of only a few of students, out of the 10 or so, that went through, but died instead of dropping out (there was a related article after the 6th one died... so close to theothers). Also, McPhee's name falls off the map after his graduation, except for random things like telephone numbers.

Seeing that he once again had alot of information that would lead him no where he decides to work with the phone numbers. He logs into the CStel site and begins to do reverse lookups for each number. He hopes that with direct access to the phone listing database he will get better information than trying an online reverse lookup system.

His steady cascades of online searches continued on for some time, as Kendell started to does... then, the screen went blank.
With a few small sentences appearing, one after the other.
"Wake up, Kendell..." "Follow the white rabbit." "Knock, Knock, Kendell."
Where upon a knocking sound snapped him back to reality......

Kendall's head snaps up as he hears a knock. He looks around trying to locate the knocking sound.
(OOC: is it on the computer or a window?)

The knocking sound was apparantly a kid whose ball got out of control, hitting the side of the van (since I figured that's where Kendell still is... if not the van, then the wall of the apartment or whatever). Looking out the window, though, he saw a guy drive by in a VW Rabbit (a kind of mid-sized sedan, findable on Google, etc.), all white. Not super-fast, or anything. Neighbourhood driving. Also, his screen was back to normal. The car stops at a light.

Seeing the message on the screen and then seeing the VW he wonders if that could be the rabbit whoever was on his laptop was referring to. Being bored with web searches, he decides to follow the car. He waits in his parking spot until the car takes off from the light, then he pulls his truck out of his spot and begins to follow keeping 2 car lengths away.

As the white VW Rabbit (not an endorsement, though, I did find it at the Author's Convenience Store) travels through the neighbourhoods, it leaves the area Kendell was holding up far behind. Instead, they find their way to a less dense residential neighbourhood.
Despite the peaceful look of the neighbourhood on the surface, there is some activity. In fact, the Rabbit gets detoured by a police action.

Kendall tries to stick to the vehicle without being spotted. He follows the car even as it makes a detour.
