Miranda shakes her head at Quinn. "Being in either fire or ice form is, in actual fact, not a very good idea if the goal is to remain unnoticed. You'd be surprised how many people notice someone whose entire body is engulfed by flames and they also tend to notice a close to 6 foot ice statue walking around. I think he has the right idea," Miranda nods at Tharsis. "If he can turn invisible, that would be a much more effective way to do recon to gather information."
Miranda is quiet for a minute before adding "Besides, unless our goal is to burn down the building and kill everyone inside, it's also not a good idea for me to be in fire form while indoors.. As for what I would do," she continues "is I would gather as much information as I was able to in the time I had about the gang. Who are the super and who are the norms, and what kind of powers the supers have. I’d also want to know what kind of weapons the non-supers have and what their security is like. I’d also like to know what the goal of our mission is – are we simply to kill everyone inside, or are we just arresting everyone to get information, or do we have a specific target in mind?"
Miranda smirks. "I would like to know why everyone else’s plan seems to 'Send Miranda in to get shot'. Just because I have healing abilities, it does hurt to get shot and I tend to get cranky when that happens. Plus, if I get shot in the head or the heart, I would still get killed despite my healing abilities."

"It's like Windchill says." Troubleshooter speaks up. "A situation like this requires hours of pre-raid research before the 10 or 15 minutes it takes to actually go in. Besides the powers and personalities, what kind of hide-out is it? Are they wealthy? Do they have auto-mated defenses? Do they allow outsiders inside? Is it a drug-den - particularly important since volatile chemicals and heat are not friends. In addition, no matter what our goals are, the police will need to come in and clean it up, catalogue evidence and so on. We level the place or go in guns plazing, we make it hard for convictions." You can tell he's been over this in practice. "If this were to be a successful raid, I would say we ID the key members, get their files - being cops now, we can do that - figure out their business, watch their patterns for at least a day, maybe a week, to find when the place is empty and full, then raid it with the police close behind... Overall... 2-3 weeks worth of work."
Karson paused, not expecting such an estimate. "Preparation." He sums up. "Is the point. Action lasts five minutes. But, without adequate planning, those could be the last 5 minutes of your life. OK, so, you have the place IDed, you know your targets and their business: auto theft and fencing. The cops are set and your goal is arrests and restoration of property where possible. Who do you target?"
"With the strongest of us at the fore, couldn't we just power through straight to the bosses?" Power Armour asks. "I mean, bust through a roof or something?"

" No, just crashing in would be as stupid as going in without doing our homework in the first place." Jamison replied. "They'd have chance to focus their resourses on us and it would turn into a firefight. we should avoid that if possible I would think. Could we use the police as a diversionary tactic while we made a more discreet entry. " He looked at Miranda. " Could you freeze a section of wall so it would be brittle enough to go through easily? It would be alot quieter than kicking in the doors."

"You can't turn into shapeable Ice or Fire purely, Miranda?" he was almost surprised. "You should try sometime realy good party trick." Quinn said.
"It's not to get you shot, I just thought your Elemental forms were complete transformations* to that element like 'Antarctica' did in my dimension. She turned into a mass of living, shapeshifting Ice...extremely effective recon when you can move through air ducts and pipes. that and she was tough to kill*. my apologies Miranda." he answered sincerely.
* (Ala Iceman in Age of Apocalypse)
"freeze and melt a wall section? Put the forces in one direction while we enter from another that works. Use as much non-lethal method as possible and IF we have access to power dampeners employ them as well. I would have our people go after a select target best suited to there capabilities and weaponry." Quinn considered thinking out loud.
"Yeah I like that idea." he said with smirk.

Miranda shakes her head at Quinn. "No," she replies "I can't do that." Smirking, she adds "You'd think turning into a living being made of fire or ice would be impressive enough."
Her smirk disappears when she considers Jamison's question. "I'm not sure." she replies "I haven't tried doing that. It's worth a try in practice. It might depend on what the wall is made of and how thick it is."

"I'm impressed by it, by golly." Says Sock-puppet Man, piping up in his falsetto. "In fact, this is all quite interesting... but if we are raiding a garage, filled with normals and a few mutants, being a garage at all, any kind of firefight would hurt pretty much everyone but Windchill, since there's fuel and oils and all of that kind of thing. Personally, I would recommend we all wear safety goggles, it being in a work area." Taking a breath, he continues. "However, since restoration of property is important, and CHIMERA wants to cut the heads off of snakes, would it not be best to simply create some kind of circumstance to ferret them out of the garage and have the fight somewhere else? Especially if we only want to take the toughies and the bosses?"
"Auto garages do usually have a lot of space around them for cars and part." Power Armour adds.

"Turning to Ice or fire is impressive. I guess my dimension impressive wasn't enough. You needed to push boundaries in extreme ways." he looked a like he lost something or someplace for moment as he turned from Miranda.
"I'm certain if they called for a raid the investigations done. Which means Drawing them out is an option to be considered on site and based on the exact Meta-humans there. I'm certain I can think of a few methods to ferret out non-Metas and few of the Meta as well. A bit of Goblin gas can go a long way." he finished.
"As I said we'd need be there to make the call. I'd Still use stealth and a bit of carefully placed non-lethal incendiaries along with Miranda's plan. I like the idea of Capture vs Conflict."

Jamison turned to Revenant, " You said you have some sort of radar, right? Could you use it to pick up the rats as they started to abandon ship?" He turned to look at the others. " If I used my invisibility to sneak in with some of Quinn's goblin gas and set it off, then everyone else on the outside could pick up the bosses and any metas as they came out, and the norms could be left to the CSPD. I'd need a gas mask to do it of course. "

"So, then." Karsons says, summing up for them. "You have a plan where you will identify the targets, research the area and plan for the raid with the CSPD holding back-up. Then, you will conduct the raid with an open firefight, instigated by covertly planted smoke bombs to flush out the targets, preserving the property. Very good. You got there, eventually."
"Now, I am here to clarify this time, but, on your own, here's the next scenario. You have three known super-villains on a rampage through an otherwise well-off neighbourhood, what do you do? We'll assume you can all get away from work or other daily activities."

Revenant lists off matter-of-factly "Step one is to secure civilians away from hostiles. Step two is to make positive ID on the suspects, and radio in to CHIMERA command. After this is done, engagement. Power Armor and I work containment on the ground to pin them in with Windchill and Tharsis performing fly-by strafing attacks to keep them off-balance. The others look for weak points and engage at long distance attack"

Not wanting to sound like a smart mouth, Jamison thought twice before asking his next question, " Um, if they are known villians, shouldn't we know something about them so we can fomulate a plan to deal with them?" He looked at Revenant. " I mean your plan is a sound start, but if one or more of them are flyers, then Wind Chill and / or I wil be otherwise engaged and unable to supply your fly bys."

"If it's a well-off neighbourhood." Troubleshooter says, "They certainly won't appreciate snipers on their roof. But we could do distraction and co-ordination. Goodness knows, those goblin bombs would help, and I know how to get results from cops to get a containment crew."

Miranda is quiet before asking "I'm guessing that we'll know all about their powers already if they're known super-villians?" Listening quietly to the others, it seems clear that Revenant's position seems to largely be "Run in with guns blazing" Jamison seems to have a bit of a clearer head so far, but who knows.

" That's exactly my point." Jamison explained. " I mean each villian has to be approached differently, so we would have to vary our tactics, and we can't answer the question properly without that information."

"Call HQ and get the info enroute or as we set up parameter. And High society be damned if they don't like snipers. If needed we deploy them." Quinn added.
