" I have to go last, to close it." Dmitri explained, having to force Alice through ahead of him, the gateway closed behind them to leave the chaos at the marina behind. Everyone except Avi was present, including Trevor and Torment ( who eventually I'll remember her given name)
ashley was a little shaken, but her closeness to Isamu seemed to be the cure for that as she cuddled close, " And that is why I don't do public transportation."
Kristian was waiting for Sierra, and kissed her forehead, " Have fun without me?"
Jason had managed to take at the far end from Alice's head of the table, and was chatting friendly with Trevor.
Dmitri, changing from his coppery transformation, caught Janie in his arms andkissed her before looking at Tom still in his transformed state. " It's safe here, you can change back to normal."
Janie winked at Alice, " You better explain what you just dragged your friend into, bosslady ." The last dripped with sarcasm as she grinned.

Alilce glares and shakes her head at Jane. "I'll need some help with the explanation," she says quietly "since some of this was happening before I was involved." She wishes, not for the first time, that Will hadn't just taken off after her training had barely gotten started.
Noticing that Avi isn't there, she immediately attempts to contact him by radio. "Avi, where are you? What's your status?" A part of her wonders why Jason seems to be ignoring her, and then she gets annoyed with him for acting so recklessly again. As she waits for Avi to respond, she asks him, "Did you see where Ragnarok went?"

Avi's voice came over the band-adio prompty. " I'm trying to smooth thing over with the local authorities. I'm down at police headquarters, don't wait up for me." After a pause, he added, " unless someone needs my attention."
Jason turned slowly to face Alice, " Oh, I saw pretty good when he dropped down that hole in the floor. It was all I could do to keep the bus from following him in when he tossed the end of it in the air and then disappeared."

Alice replies to Avi "Got it." She can't help but smirk as she adds jokingly "Ok, I won't wait up."
Turning to Jason, she nods and says "OK, so Ragnarok took off. Kristian, can you please take a quick look at Jason and Tom to make sure that they're ok after holding up a bus." To Jane, she asks "Can you please get Jason's old wheelchair for Tom for when he comes out of his transformed state?"

Tom waves off Kristian "I'm fine, don't worry. Ragnarok never even so much as scratched me. I just wish I'd managed to get some more solid hits in." He looks around at all the unfamiliar people. "Uhm, I guess some introductions are in order. Seeing as you are all being such nice hosts, I should start." Tom waits for the wheel chair to enter, and then magnetically pulls it right behind him. Taking a deep breath and positioning his hands just over the arms of the chair, he turns from metal to flesh. Immediately, his legs fall out from under him, and he grabs the wheelchair armrests as he lowers himself into it, and then pulls his legs into the foot rests of the chair. "Sorry, but if I lean on the chair when I'm metal, I'd snap it." He offers as an apology. For a moment, a look of vulnerability crosses Tom's face, but he quickly manages to cover it with a smile. "So, my name is Tom, Tom Turco. But someone in the media thought it would be a good idea to call me "Tom Titanium", but that didn't fly, so they went with "Tom Titan". " He shrugs. "What's in a name, right?"

*sierra seems a little more composed and not ready to take anyones head off. she responds to Krisien's kiss to the forehead with a snicker and and hug that to everyone looks like she's holding eggshells.
'yeah, but i didn't know how to play properly. bounced off him first and then when we rejoined the fun, i got to stand to the side and play bantam hen to the kids ... its obvious the guy did it to keep Jason from following and to cover his trail.
'... oh looks like i made enough chili then. well i'll go see if we have enough for some corn muffins and lemon cake for dessert.
*she releases her hold on Kristien and then asks Torment 'wanna help me whip up muffins and cake? ... they'll go great with the chili and i'll have to whip up a couple of salads as well' *she really doesn't expect anyone to actually help her, but she seems willing to try.
*pauses on her way to the kitchen to watch Tom and simply states 'cool. i'm Sierra .. and my talent is cooking for these people ... and copying powers. bye ... ' *then she's out and headed to the kitchen to finish making up a meal for the people .. the pots of chili start warming up as she does the muffins and salads

" Mon, thats better than getting tagged by a misprint in the local paper. the headline said Fragment of a drunken imagination, so guess what my alter ego got called." Kristian laughed as he slipped from Sierra's embrace and wandered down towards Jason.
" Don't waste your time, Kristian. My suit took most of the brunt of the bus." Jason told Kristian.
" Let me decide that. I'm the paramedic, not you." Kristian replied coldly, ending Jason's protests, much to Ashley's delight.
coughing away her snicker, Ashley nodded a thanks to Tom. " Thanks for the quick hands with the bus. I wasn't looking forward to carving my way out. Besides, Isamu doesn't like the smell when my fur gets wet." She elbowed Isamu playfully at her comment.
Torment seemed apprehensive, but Trevor gave her a light shove, " go ahead, Brittney. One of us needs to learn to cook."
" Besides your barbequing?" Brittney shot back with a smirk before following Sierra towards the kitchen. " Fair wairing, the only cooking I do comes out of a box and goes in the microwave."
Janie looked at Alice, " did you tell them about the press conference?"

Jason snickered at the other end of the room, and was prompty told to sit still by Kristian as he checked him out.
" Not quite," Dmitri replied, looking at Alice, " your the bosslady. Why don't you fill him in?"

*Sierra looks at Britney and chuckles 'if you can follow instructions, then you can learn to cook .. ' *is the last thing the others hear as they move to the kitchen.
*once in the kitchen she is all about making muffins out of cornbread and the cake batter. Si talks about the shark attack and then asks 'so .. what can you do? .. your powers i mean. yeah stir that carefully .. we don't over mix or the muffins come out all flat and icky ... '
* 3 months earlier holds nothing for her against this girl. she wasn't involved when the attack and kidnapping of Felicity happened. not was she a part of the argument happened. she was at the mall when it all happened, so as far as she's concerned, Britney is just a girl that is a Meta.
'gotta ask you something. does freaky skin bother you?' *ironic she asks that, but for her it is an innocent question* 'just wondering if i should take my jacket off or not. my skin was horrible before when it first started shedding. but thats cause i was surrounded by Meta's and didn't realize that it was like jumping into acid or something ... '

Brittney shakes her head at Sierra. "No, it won't bother me if you take off your jacket." she replies as she attempts to carefully stir the batter. When asked about her powers, she shrugs and says "Most of my powers are mind based - I'm a psychic."
(Everyone else)
Alice shakes her head and says in an annoyed tone of voice "If you'd actually give me a chance to explain things, I would. I will need help from Jason and Trevor in explaining some things that I wasn't here for." Alice then explains about the press conference she and Jane had watched. She doe her best to keep her voice from shaking as she adds "Wraith was one of the group. He's apparently working for the mayor now."

Tom nods, trying to follow as best he can.
"OK, let me see if I've got the basics: Jason and a bunch of you, all superpowered, are like, gathered together because of a "strength in numbers" concept so you aren't easily leveraged by governments, crime-lords, and every other possible group that would string you up or exploit you. You guys have had some turnovers, a few betrayals, and this Wraith guy has just sold you out to work for the city, which annoys and angers you. Please let me know if I'm wrong on any of this."

"That's mostly right, except the part about Wraith. He's always been an enemy. My first introduction to Wraith was on my first date with Jason where he kidnapped Jason and I and beat Jason half to death trying to get information, as well as trying to scare information out of me. What surprised me is that he's working for the mayor now." Alice pales a little, remembering what had happened when Wraith had grabbed them and how much he scares her, even now. "He's crazy." She also can't help but look over at Dmitri, remembering his part of the kidnapping, though he had done what he could to help them escape.
