Tom smirks "Guess I need to do the heavy lifting" as he takes Jason's place bracing the bus

As the weight comes off of him, Jason pulls himself free, slowly struggling to his feet. " Hey, you can handle the muscle from now on if you want." The floor starts to give way, but Isamu's sand beneath holds Tom as he sinks through the floor. With a strained cough, Jason added, " Bud, you need to go on a diet." He patted Isamu on the shoulder in thanksand nodded to Ashley and Sierra helping the children out.

" I think that's the last of them, guys." Ashley said, stepping into the bus to check. As she walked to the back of the bus, the floor beneath the back wheels gave way, and the bus and Ashley fell through. Tom grip was all that kept it from sinking into the bay completely.

Outside, just as kids stopped coming through the doors to the delighted cheers of the gathered crowds, there was a loud creak that made the pier shudder. everyone could hear Ashley's terrified shriek.

Tom hears the shriek and uses his magnetic powers to arrest Ashley's fall (using anything metal on her person "I'm a regular Atlas."

*sweeps the area to sense who's nearby or nearing .. and keeps the others informed about that

'can you toss the bus this way? .. i'll catch it and set it outside ...

"You get everyone out safely first, then we'll lose the bus. I'm ok for now" Tom replies

*Sierra looks about ready to say something, then turns and 'herds the children away and off the pier and to safety with the police near the road with the news crews.

*then she moves back towards the building slowly .. wondering what to do to help now.

[will be out of hte fighting unless it happens outside for now]

[Dome]

Isamu yells, "Ashley hold on!"

He then brings up another tower of sand under Ashley and the bus, hoping to help the new guy with the weight.

*she recalls that the big guy changed into an old man. so she turns to scan the various faces watching from where the children have joined the rescue workers.

[perc to see him - Result of the throw of dice "1d20" : 12 = 12 ]

then she figures that he isn't on the floor .. and most likely is too heavy to stay in the rafters of the building then he must be below.

*Sierra turns to look over the railing, then climbs over thee railing and holds on with a foot, using all her training from her circus life as the footing for what she needs, and looks about for a sign of Ragnarok

You don't see any sign of Ragnarok as you look around the area from the rafters. From what you can tell, he used the distraction of the bus full of children to make his escape unnoticed.

Luckily Tom's actions slows down Ashley's fall and she lands on the tower of sand raised by Isamu. The sand helps balance the bus, and Tom no longer needs to hold on to it. Once the bus is gently lowered, Ashley runs to Isamu and throws herself into his arms, sobbing. Alice goes up to them and says with a tired, quiet smile, "Good job guys." Looking around their surroundings, she says to Dmitri "We should try to get out of here quickly, if possible."

Dmitri nodded, and once the last of the children were out, he opened a gateway. " Express route home ready to go."

Jason stepped behind Alice, and after coughing fairly hard into his hand, spoke lowly to her," what about your friend? We can't leave him loose to deal with the media and cops."

Alice nods at Jason and tells Dmitri "Take him to Avi or Kristan so they can help him. Don't listen to any thing he might say to try to change your mind." Ignoring any protests Jason might make, she turns to Tom and says "Are you going to come with us this time or are you going to take off on your own again? We're heading back to our house. It's safe, and you can rest and get away from the police." If he looks nervous about going through the portal, she'll attempt to reassure him that it's perfectly safe and he won't be hurt.

*finally comes into view from outside* ' .. well HE's not outside or below .. a big stunt to cover his escape .. i'm for getting the heck outta Dodge. no real point in sticking aobut. i'm sorry for saying this, but i think you'll need to take Jason someplace else.

'mainly because i think that Ragnarok will know where to look for him. and maybe even has him tagged to follow later. but thats just me, i don't know much about how that dude would think. i'll see if we have enough stuff for lemon cakes. later .. '

*having had said her piece, she vanishes thru the portal without another comment and leaves the others behind to do whatever they want to.

Tom stretches as he lowers the bus, and walks out. He responds to Alice "Well, seeing as this time you're inviting me, sure."

[Mierin]

Alice refrains from scowling at Tom and says, pointing at the portal "Go." She'll wait for everyone else to go through before heading through the portal herself. She thinks about what Sierra had said, and has to admit to herself that it does make sense, though she doesn't think Ragnarok knew where they lived yet, as he didn't attack them until they had gone to visit Tyler. However, that did bring up the point that he knew where Ty and Felicia lived and she made a note to call them and warn them when she gets a moment.

[Dome]

Isamu runs over to Ashley and puts his arm around her. He makes sure that she is ok and walks her towards the portal home.
